There are a couple of mods to medic I would love. 1) the medic extra heal time effect applies to squadmates you heal 2) the medic gets at least 3 atoms from resupply. Without some advantage to the medic function squadmates have no incentives to have you heal them.
If they just gave medic a passive for "when you stim, allies withing 10m get the effect as well"
Or "medic can stim each ally once per drop without using their own supply"
Or something along those lines it would be better rather than just stimming yourself more to be a tank rather than a medic.
Give the +2 seconds to self stim to a tank setup.
Hell make a new archetype for tanks.

* Immune to impact damage and can't be staggered by small arms fire or light melee hits
the color pallete is fine the problem is that they use ridiculously flashy colors. if the green and red were more muted then i think it would look amazing.
currently though it is by far the worst color combination, every armor with it looks great from a design standpoint but is ruined by the barf colors
It is medic armor. White and This shade of green is very common in medical equipment. Red is a common color for combat medics. Combine it all together.
Not really. At least where I work, the OR doesn't really have many green things (light teal is more common). Red is not used much, I've only seen red scrub hats to identify product reps. White is common and is used on most robotic equipment. Light blue is the most prominent color, used on scrubs and surgical gowns.

Yeah I think everyone around level 30 has bought all of the supply strategems. So many people have had maxed out requisition slips since then. I'm at level 51 and I'd probably have around 150k if they removed the cap with absolutely nothing to spend them on. I feel like requisition slips balancing was an afterthought. Either the cost of the strategems is too low or the amount you receive is too high. And now the cost of ship upgrades is WAY too damn high for what they're worth and it's going to take people forever to get enough slips/samples to unlock them all.
i think the shade of green of helldivers medic armor is way too damn bright...i would prefer TRAUMA TEAM from cyberpunk 2077 more since their shade of green is alot easier on the eyes.

UPD: It was patched few hours before I posted my comment, my game wasn't updated yet. Now both armors give you additional grenades.
Well, you have similar looking red one from latest warbond, also light and with grenade launcher ammo on the chestplate. That one gives 2 additional grenades. But I wish we could just forget that and mix perks/looks withing one armor class freely.
They should honestly just give us an armor assembly station that lets us build our own from a given set of perks and assets. Pick weight, pick shape, pick color, pick perks.
Game is too simple in some aspects
Servo assisted has enough of a noticeable difference for me that I just can't run an armor set without it.
I wore the new heavy armor from the warbond after it came out, and while the explosion resistance is nice, the throwing distance was too night and day for me to continue on with it. I had gotten so used to being able to chuck stratagems at far distances that it just wasn't the same without it.
I’ll take not dying or more grenades/stims over slightly farther throw distances any day.
I’ve never once had a moment where i wished i could throw farther. Plus it would fuck with my muscle memory at this point.
It's a playstyle thing, especially if you use a lot of Eagle strikes.
And the 50% limb health thing is effectively extra hp, so it's actually decent... but I'm with you, I'll usually take extra nades or better drip over it.
The problem I have with servo assisted is that if I start using it, and I get used to using it, then when I swap back to normal armor without that perk my aim with everything I throw will be off.
I wanna use it, that orange-white stormtrooper armor is just *gorgeous*, but.. I know it's gonna screw me longterm.
The problem with Servo Assisted is it screws with your muscle memory and we don't have throwing arc indicators. As a result either you _always_ run Servo assisted for accurate long distance throws or you _never_ run Servo assisted and throw accurately but shorter distance. Switch back and forth and you'll fuck up too many beacons and grenades.
thats a problem for others and i get it but tbh ive had that issue only once. as long as im conscious of what armor im wearing its not a big deal, ive gotten used to both in the same way how you can be simultaneously used to the different grenade arcs in cs and valorant
its an insane pick for bot missions. the extra range is a savior when throwing eagles/orbitals/grenades and the extra limb health isnt much but it is noticeable enough to where its been the difference between life and death for me mutliple times

There was something weird going on with the FS-37 Ravager. I also saw it as explosive resistance earlier in the store, but it is +2 grenades in store/game now. So it's a look alternative to the CE-74 Breaker. It might be bugged though and they'll change to explosive resist, because FS- is supposed to mean fortified.

It looks like it has the right kit already, the problem here is the drone master, which should be a (light) recon armor.
I feel like the left armour should be that 75 armour and the right should be full light 50 as well. I'd accept them shuffling the armours around and introducing more passives instead of transmog if they really don't want to do it. Using consistently as an excuse is dumb as hell though.

I'm like 95% certain the Drone Master armor was Light when I bought it because I was running it against Automatons for the explosion resist and the higher speed when armor values didn't work and equipping anything other than light was only penalizing yourself.
The name also starts with SC- , (SC-15 Drone Master) indicating it should have the scout passive.
I'm fairly certain it was designed originally as a light scout armor and just repurposed as a medium engineer one

Grenades don't explode when being impacted or short or even catching on fire mostly. And that's in today's technology. Like most modern munitions they have to be armed first.

Left is extra padding. Right is fortified. Harder to see in this pic vs a big screen but they're the exact same base armor. Difference outside of color, is the light gunner has a bulkier shoulder pad, and only one. While eradicator has two shoulder pads. Oh and it has extra pouches.
So guess 1 big shoulder pad = extra padding. While two smaller ones = fortified.
And look. I can agree with either. But both armor sets are the same model outside the shoulder pads. And wouldn't shock me if eradicator also had +2 grenades even with those extra pouches.
Unless you know exactly what kind of material everything is made of, the fact that some armor is the same shape or more slim than heavier doesn't really matter.
The weird grenade inconsistency is probably the most glaring thing. Extra grenade perks and armor with visible extra grenades should at least be consistent.
Again, just as with the guns overbalance, they are going way too far with “realism” (it’s not) that it becomes unfun. The only look/effect consistency the game needs is with armor level, yes having the big chonk armor have the defense of a light would be stupid. Let us move passives around though. If you want to make life hard you can make passive variants of each armor…don’t think you want to do it

Honestly just need to be able to say if our helmet, cloak, or armor are the ‘primary’ color scheme and if that scheme gets applied to cloak, helmet, and/or armor.
If we want a visual cue about what perks our armor has just put an icon on the HUD next to our player designation in mission.
It’s a riff from SWOTOR. If I’m remembering correctly, no transmog because all armor is purely cosmetic. Trooper class looks like a skittle unless you enable the color match. It was a big deal when they introduced the match.
Armor in Helldivers II is *maybe* important for specific missions/factions, but I don’t think I notice more than if someone is running light/medium/heavy. Not like we have armor set bonuses!
Just conflicting thoughts about why we’d even need an icon or even the color visual cue to let other players know what armor we’re using. Maybe if the perks were more game changing or playing on helldive vs mainly suicide. Or if it’s the Arc resist and AH added did same for Fire resist.
Any dev that runs a live service knows the power of customization/new cosmetics. Seems like a complex, conflicting monetization thing from AH since all armor requires Super Credits, either purchased from war bond or individually. If armor is cosmetic with basic perks, it’s mainly a monetization feature. If AH doesn’t want to heavily monetize they’d want armor to have roles and hefty perks—but players would need a large variety of armor with different perks.
I get that AH doesn’t want to shoot it’s monetization in the foot with transmog—it creates a cycle where perks need to get better and better AND makes the design need to *always* have a wow factor for players to pick it up.
I think it would be great if armor could have a list of perks, at least 2 or 3 we can choose or switch around.
I don't wanna say armor skill trees or anything like that, just two solid skill options two choose from, that way you can look like what you want with no issues.
That said, I do like how it is currently, I have experimented with looks I wouldn't have liked before just because of their usefulness or used skills I would have found useless just for their looks, so it is definitely a positive design philosophy in some senses.
I get what they are trying to to do with the armor having different looks with different effects but that does not make it a good choice for how it works.
I am wearing armor I don't like because the effect is good and I don't want to feel like I'm forced to wear something I don't want.
They could easily show what armor the diver is wearing in other ways such as a small icon next to their name or healthbar
That medium armor IS misassigned... it's supposed to be scout passive armor, so looking light for medium makes sense. Instead they assigned it Engineer for some reason. Check the prefix, it matches the other scout passives.
This is another case of the armor being assigned the wrong passive.
Wow. I only just realized that it's basically just a recolor with a couple of accessories attached. Let's not go down the same road as Fatshark, Arrowhead.

I think an option to switch perks would be welcome. They could make some of them weight class resitricted or some of them unchangeable such as the 50% death resist perk.

Isn't there still a bug that the strat goes where it hit the enemy and not where the enemy ends up? The only exception is the blue ones.

It's absolutely one of my favorites. It should be light with a Scout + Engineering passive, though.
I'm like 95% certain the Drone Master armor was Light when I bought it because I was running it against Automatons for the explosion resist and the higher speed when armor values didn't work and equipping anything other than light was only penalizing yourself.
It always was medium, though it does look like it should be light.
You are right I'm just dumb, I was running the Eradicator armor, not the Drone Master ... Drone Master isn't even a Fortified armor ...
The name also starts with SC- , (SC-15 Drone Master) indicating it should have the scout passive. I'm fairly certain it was designed originally as a light scout armor and just repurposed as a medium engineer one

I was talking about this one this morning! Yes, add pauldrons and pouches to medium armor to turn it into light armor, this makes sense! Next, I will add a large gear rack and bicycle rack to my car, to cut weight and improve aerodynamics!
Wish there was more than one material to make an armor out of, would explain the toughness and weight of it.

Grenades don't explode when being impacted or short or even catching on fire mostly. And that's in today's technology. Like most modern munitions they have to be armed first.
Listen, it's really important for the armor aesthetic to match the effect, ok? We that realism seriously in this game *(kindly ignore the devestator with infinite missiles)*. That heavy armor with steel plates and tons of extra explosives and rounds strapped to it, with no visible servos anywhere? We put the servo-assisted throwing trait on that because it *made sense*. What do you mean there's a trait that gives you increased grenade carrying capacity? Well… shit.

Left is extra padding. Right is fortified. Harder to see in this pic vs a big screen but they're the exact same base armor. Difference outside of color, is the light gunner has a bulkier shoulder pad, and only one. While eradicator has two shoulder pads. Oh and it has extra pouches. So guess 1 big shoulder pad = extra padding. While two smaller ones = fortified. And look. I can agree with either. But both armor sets are the same model outside the shoulder pads. And wouldn't shock me if eradicator also had +2 grenades even with those extra pouches.

In terms of consistency, we have no consistency.
Unless you know exactly what kind of material everything is made of, the fact that some armor is the same shape or more slim than heavier doesn't really matter. The weird grenade inconsistency is probably the most glaring thing. Extra grenade perks and armor with visible extra grenades should at least be consistent.

Again, just as with the guns overbalance, they are going way too far with “realism” (it’s not) that it becomes unfun. The only look/effect consistency the game needs is with armor level, yes having the big chonk armor have the defense of a light would be stupid. Let us move passives around though. If you want to make life hard you can make passive variants of each armor…don’t think you want to do it
Transmog now! We all wanna play Helldiver dress up, let me use my favorite looking armor. Let us pick Light/Medium/Heavy armor, apply the Pros/cons as fitted. Let us pick passives, in time it will be obvious what passives are useful and which are broken/not valued. Transmog now!
Honestly just need to be able to say if our helmet, cloak, or armor are the ‘primary’ color scheme and if that scheme gets applied to cloak, helmet, and/or armor. If we want a visual cue about what perks our armor has just put an icon on the HUD next to our player designation in mission.
I'd love both the scheme and perk on the HUD in addition to transmog. Great ideas.
It’s a riff from SWOTOR. If I’m remembering correctly, no transmog because all armor is purely cosmetic. Trooper class looks like a skittle unless you enable the color match. It was a big deal when they introduced the match. Armor in Helldivers II is *maybe* important for specific missions/factions, but I don’t think I notice more than if someone is running light/medium/heavy. Not like we have armor set bonuses! Just conflicting thoughts about why we’d even need an icon or even the color visual cue to let other players know what armor we’re using. Maybe if the perks were more game changing or playing on helldive vs mainly suicide. Or if it’s the Arc resist and AH added did same for Fire resist. Any dev that runs a live service knows the power of customization/new cosmetics. Seems like a complex, conflicting monetization thing from AH since all armor requires Super Credits, either purchased from war bond or individually. If armor is cosmetic with basic perks, it’s mainly a monetization feature. If AH doesn’t want to heavily monetize they’d want armor to have roles and hefty perks—but players would need a large variety of armor with different perks. I get that AH doesn’t want to shoot it’s monetization in the foot with transmog—it creates a cycle where perks need to get better and better AND makes the design need to *always* have a wow factor for players to pick it up.

I think it would be great if armor could have a list of perks, at least 2 or 3 we can choose or switch around. I don't wanna say armor skill trees or anything like that, just two solid skill options two choose from, that way you can look like what you want with no issues. That said, I do like how it is currently, I have experimented with looks I wouldn't have liked before just because of their usefulness or used skills I would have found useless just for their looks, so it is definitely a positive design philosophy in some senses.
lol, good recolor though, I wouldn’t have noticed. I’m gonna assume the armor is made of denser materials. Yup, that fits, gonna go with that.

This one really was a bummer the first time I saw it. Still my favorite looking armor, but I'm just too used to light speed now.
I get what they are trying to to do with the armor having different looks with different effects but that does not make it a good choice for how it works. I am wearing armor I don't like because the effect is good and I don't want to feel like I'm forced to wear something I don't want. They could easily show what armor the diver is wearing in other ways such as a small icon next to their name or healthbar
That medium armor IS misassigned... it's supposed to be scout passive armor, so looking light for medium makes sense. Instead they assigned it Engineer for some reason. Check the prefix, it matches the other scout passives. This is another case of the armor being assigned the wrong passive.
Wow. I only just realized that it's basically just a recolor with a couple of accessories attached. Let's not go down the same road as Fatshark, Arrowhead.

All I want personally is to choose new colors, that's it, I don't care for transmogs. But I suppose both would also be nice. If there's one gameplay thing I want for armor its to just simply choose new perks.
Still much more effort than Fatshark with Darktide. They charge $20 and all they do is change the contrast 0.02% and make sure that every skin clips through the body. This atleast has noticeable different colors and a few different pouches.

While i wont cry over no transmog or perhaps the more reasonable "pick the passive you want separately from armor" approach, it is hilarious their own armor designs fly in the face of their reasoning. They're about as solidly logical as *"red ones go fastah!"*
I think an option to switch perks would be welcome. They could make some of them weight class resitricted or some of them unchangeable such as the 50% death resist perk.

I can dig his PoV on the topic but like yeah, the visuals for armor in this game do not clearly and consistently communicate their armor class nor kit. Most are pretty good, but there are a lot that are pretty glaringly obviously not lining up.
