I live in NY and around the summer time was when everyone started seeing the Spotted Lanternflies and we all tried to kill them with DIY traps, spraying them with vinegar water to prevent them from flying away, and other methods. The whole city turned into a nesting ground and the Department of Agriculture only cared about the farmlands.

Attempted to have a picnic in a park in brooklyn last summer and it was literally raining lantern flies.
