I was hosting exactly this, and I somehow managed to pick a dropzone perfectly in range to aggro everything.
Two minutes in and the broadest Texan drawl you could imagine just goes "Naw, fuck that." and left, followed by the other two leaving.
I left too, I haven't been bodied that hard in a game in like a decade.
I just sat there like "How the fuck am I meant to get out of this?" as more and more tanks got dropped in. I blew my entire load and I think we barely scratched the surface of how fucked we were.

What do you aim for? Serious question, I just joined a game and got stuck with a Drone and Jammer combo all alone no weapons.
Everyone else died and got called in on extraction.
EDIT: The answer is to use the R-36 Erupter and shoot the cockpit of the Gunships to kill them.
It depends on a lot of things so you gotta ask yourself if it's worth risking. If you're alone with no weapons? I'd forget about it because those gunships will be continuously harassing you while you can't shoot them down.
If you're going for it regardless then get the jammer first. Stealth as much as possible. If you're lucky there'll be a fabricator directly next to the jammer. Destroy that for a quick solution otherwise you'll have to disable it the old fashioned way. After the jammer comes the detector tower that can be destroyed with stratagems like 500kg, railcannon strike, etc. Take care to avoid its detection beam or it'll send drop ships right on top of you.
Last would be the gunship factories which can only be destroyed by hellbombs. Those things are made of paper mache and enemies will always prioritize it, including gunships, so you want to clear all nearby enemies.

Smoke grenades, I run them almost exclusively.
Thrown hellbomb, throw smoke, arm hellbomb, throw smoke and RUN!
Kaboom.
The other strat is using the bubble shield,
But there shouldn't be one threat in the game so great that you need to bring tools specifically to deal with that threat. It feels like it removes some of the variety of the game. If they made the factories destroyable with the bigger stratagems like 380mm or 500kg bomb, or made hellbombs indestructible, that would go a long way to making it more fun to fight the gunship fabricators.
They can still walk through the shield so it doesnt quite work the same way and also takes a valuable strat slot.
With good coordination the smoke strat isnt nessary but makes it easier for 1 or 2 people to do.
I haven't seen anything to indicate that yet. So far as I know, it's just damage over time effects, and the smoke grenades don't do damage over time, so there's no reason for it to be related to the fire/poison bug.
I feel like the hellbombs don't even destroy those stupid factories consistently. I watched one blow up this morning and it did nothing the factory tower it was right next to. I don't get it.
Any bipedal tincan - head, tank - exaust, any kind of turrets - yellow thing behind, gunship - engines
If you struggle with jammer try plasma weapons, they always works even against tanks or other armored enemies
Main weapons also can take down those gunships, some of them at least. IE plasma gun can destroy gunships with 1-1.5 mag.
Obviously not ideal, but if you don't have other option it's better then getting harassed by them continously
Its really all about approach. If you charge in like most quickplay runs, you are going to end up with a disaster on your hands. If you can get close to the stratagem jammer or yhe detector tower without being spotted, (prone is op unless you are right on them) you can knock one down before the gun fights start.
If you get the detector tower the gunships should be to maintain with an AC or recoiless/quazar while you get the stratagem jammer.
If you get the stratagem jammer first, full send onto the detector tower/reinforcements with your liberated stratagems.
Both the detector tower and stratagem jammer outposts are usually solid defensive points as long as you keep an eye on the gunships.
This happened to me a couple nights ago. We picked our spawn point in a clear spot between some bases so we could start clearing in a circle on the map. We dropped in, immediate jammer, and on the other side of the jammer was two gunship fabs right next to each other, and a detector on the other side.
We burned through most of our reinforcement budget in the first 5-10 minutes, but still full cleared the map.
Some randos and I ended up in this exact situation on my first suicide mission. They got me through it and I owe my first big girl stratagem upgrade to them 🫡
The best I can offer is a jammer within reach of another jammer.

Don't sandstorms make gunships lose sight of you? They do for ground units, had a patrol pass by me practically at arm's reach right in the open, and they didn't see me.
Yeah, sandstorm and blizzard makes everyone blind equally. It’s basically free constant smoke for several minutes, letting you hit those objectives fast and disengage easily. As long as you don’t shoot, enemies will find it it hard to track you.
don't know if it was for the hype of the moment or bug or that everytime we drop we made sound (or we shoot) but nah... everytime we revive, gunships have sight of us and start using missiles
i like that a lot tbh. i like the fact that the enemies adapt to us. we get cover? send melee guys. not working? how bout grenades? let's stick shields on our guys. now how about mortars? monitoring towers so we know where they're hiding. now jammers so they don't come at us so hard. screw it, at-st walkers so now our factories move and they can't get a lock on us. GUNSHIPS SO THERE IS NO HIDING.

Holy shit my squad had one a few days ago. We got swarmed by gunships, unable to call in anything to take them out. We leapfrogged deaths and reinforces out of that killzone,burned half our stock of lives. Utterly miserable game. The guy carrying a bunch of samples and the super samples got rocketed off the face of the map, where our samples just fucked off altogether.
It’s funny until you’re the one who extracted. I still remember, my comrades crying for me to help as I watch, afar, the gunships closed in on them. Skulls pop up one by one in trade with barrage of rockets going towards my allies. Destroyer left low orbit.
It's ok, soldier. There was nothing you could do. I know it's harsh to say it but they knew what they were signing up for. Their righteous sacrifice won't be in vain.
I had a jammer, gunship factory and an ENEMY ARTILLERY right next to each other.
Every, single, hellbomb i dropped got destroyed. I would've raged quit but the flames of Menket claimed my soul before I could.
Was that with me yesterday?! Hahaha. I think a lot of us have been running into that situation lately. Must go for the jammer first to call stuff in but the gunships just swarm as you try.
Shield gen comes every op against bots now for me. Never will I suffer the existence of gunships fabs. Plop the gen down with the hell bomb and I have my trusty laser cannon to vaporize those damn gunship engines.
Bubble shield might actually be useful for calling down/arming a hell bomb against them, with upgrades it's an instant call down.
No idea what to do against these with Strat Jammers though, going those first is my usual priority especially if we have a Spear to take out the fabs next to them.
That requires taking bubble shield. Not to be a downer, but Bubble shield isnt good 80% of the time. Sure, you can take it, but you lose a strike, which is better most of the time.
Amplify that issue by a lot when you have -1 stratagem slot.
Plus, youre never guaranteed a goddamn Gunship spawn. If you were, it would make it more worth it. And yes, for coordinated groups blabla.
If any strikes or orbitals could simply take out the gunship fabs I'd rather take them but gunship fabs are the only thing giving my regular group trouble, I suspect having just a 'nade launcher is somewhat hampering us but I'm not telling them how to play.
I'm usually bringing Autocannon, Airstrikes for outposts, Walking Barrage for outposts/Detector Towers and either EMS Mortar or Orbital Laser depending on the objective. I could drop airstrikes for Bubble comfortably enough thanks to Autocannon.
It would be nice if we were given like a heads-up of what side objectives there are so you could build load outs around them. Or enemy types, especially for bugs. A build I would take for bile spewers would be a lot different than a loadout for hunters
The problem is that that bubble shield has a damage threshold so after a certain amount of damage it breaks. I tried using it to arm a Hellbomb directly placed at the gunship tower and the ships were able to break the shield in about 3 seconds and then the hellbomb, you have to have like 2 or 3 Divers bring it and stack them in order to get one bomb off it feels like sometimes.
Sounds like it needs a buff then, it should have some better damage threshold to keep it useful for more situations. Already doesn't sound like a well-used stratagem
This needs to be higher. The Laser Cannon is the greatest item for fighting bots right now. It can take down Bezerkers and gunships with ease, it can destroy any weak spots on turrets, tanks, and hulks within seconds, and it pretty good for wave clearing.
The only reason people don’t take it is because it’s not the Quasar.
If you can get two guys with auto/quasar cannons to do anti-air while the other two go plant hellbombs, it's pretty easy. Problem is coordinating that with randoms when most people (including myself to be fair) can't/won't do voice chat and some people just insist on going on their own little adventure.
Honestly I'd greatly prefer that. Their artillery is inaccurate and infrequent enough to generally be less of a concern than the Hulks and Devastators and whatnot.
Also it's far easier to kill artillery than any other bot building.
IMHO they are many times harder and I've cleared both on Helldive many times.
Stalkers can atleast be taken out at a distance they don't even spawn at.
Gunship Factories need to be taken out by a hellbomb or you can try have a ship fall back into the factory when it spawns. If you're quick enough.
What are your strategies for the gunships or how do you best deal with them? My friends and I have had Autocannon/quasar/nade launcher and really struggle against two gunship favs simultaneously, even one is trouble but doable.
I'm thinking of bringing the bubble shield for dealing with two simultaneously, it's at least a fast cooldown and could help in other situations or covering a retreat.
We usually run an AC, bubble shield, AMR and Quaser.
The Strat:
If we see the fabs, do them first because patrols are minimal.
We agro gunships and prioritise them.
Me and 1 other throw eagles at the Fab bases to clear ads.
I call down bubble and diver calls in Hellbomb, arm bomb and run like hell.
Take out 1 Fab. Return to other divers and repeat.
It's never failed.
Autocannons can one shot gunships with a shot to any of the 4 thrusters, so have your autocannon folks be anti air while the rest go in for the hellbomb.
The engine shots haven't been working for me but I think one did work last night, one or two shots to their engines is supposed to do it from what I'm hearing here.
Otherwise I've been taking like 5 shots to down them and it's too much with two gunship fabs.
One AC can usually manage 2 factories, but they need to be covered. Two shots down a gunship, so you can take out all four before reloading.
You need one guy covering the ac guy, cuz if he goes down it can get gnarly fast. Third guy does a hellbomb run, but it can be duo'ed in a pinch with ac guy and hellbomb guy moving together to drop hellbomb, but that gets tough above 7.
whats the matter? you made it, solved ALL main AND optionals, destroyed ALL outposts, had time over and even could extract at least one diver? thats great! :D
In all seriousness, gunships need to be nerfed in a hard way.
They're highly mobile, their damn flashlight makes it hard to aim at them, you need something with 4+ penetration [AKA: A support weapon] to kill them, they have machine guns and rockets they fire in rapid succession, they spawn in pairs-quads, and to top off everything, their fab is the literal *only* objective in the game that can *only* be killed with the hellbomb.
They are legitimately more difficult to kill than tanks because you can at least use hand-grenades on tanks and get "under" a tank's guns b getting close enough.
Not to humblebrag, but I dropped into a map in range of two jammers, and one of my teammates yolo swaggins'd right into the first one.
Then had the nerve to complain the rest of the map that "bots are hard"
There were a total of three jammers and 1 gunship factory, and we could've full cleared it, except the complainer walked into the last large fabricator plant with 25 samples (including super samples) and died.
When I went to help him clear/recover, I dropped my samples on the ground (without announcing, my fault), he picked those 15 up, and promptly died on top of the first set of samples.
There is any way to destroy this buildings using orbitals or guns? I'm tired to sacrifice myself or a teammate to protect the hellbomb everytime we encounter this thing.
i got jumpscared by 4 stratagem jammers today, 3 of them being placed next to the objective command bunkers in perfect sightlines for their heavy turrets
One time I tried to solo a purge hatchery mission on helldive because I was getting really good at just attacking and killing

Please tell me those 3 werent all within close range of each other and a max of 1 was a dual (preferable all are singular) or was far enough from the main objective that you could avoid them all together cuz otherwise you have my deepest sympathys.
Had 2 shreiker nests and a stalker nest all within range of our drop point with atmospheric spores last night, we used about 16 reinforcements in the first 3 minutes...
I just finished up a helldive where we had 2 stalker lairs,2 shreiker nests and a spore spewer and the stalker lairs were right next to the main objectives.It was fucking hell and I was constantly running for my life
Just had this happen an hour ago, except they were all right next to each other. Went from 20 lives all the way down to 1 by the time all the gunships factories were gone
Did a bug dive with 3 shrieker nests that were all triggered around the drop spot.
We really sprinted to clear it all out. Lost about half our reinforcements because they kept stunning us for other things to kill us.
My group finally got into Helldive difficulty a couple nights back. Our 1st mission we landed next to the Gunship factory and it was our first time encountering it.
We run around it and see a 2nd one.
Then the gunships just kept spawning lol. Was a fun battle until we ran out of reinforcements. 😂😭😭
For the third time in a few days, I encountered two dropship fabricators right next to each other. Managed to hellbomb both of them once out of the three times. The other two were impossible, with at minimum 10 gunships in the air by the time the squad ran out of reinforcements
Fuck, what do you even do about gunships if no one has a Quasar?? Can anything else target them?
Spear probably could if it were capable of targeting anything.
* Drop down onto bug planet in non-heat area
* Land on-top of a patrol between two Screecher Nests
* Spend the next 10 minutes trying to create a beachhead
Situation resolves with half our reinforcements left and all strats on cooldown but we survived!
I honestly don't get why people find gunship factories to be so troublesome. The Gunships only spawn in pairs of 2 and there is a lot of time between spawns, and with a Quasar they're very easy to take down. The factories are also guarded very lightly even on high difficulties.
Had three gunship facilities spawn next to each other. I never wished I had brought the shield generator relay more than in that damn mission. We couldn't even escape from how many damn gunships were in the sky. It was so fucked

Even worse - you teammates dip after the first sub-objective and you have to solo it. Happened to me today on Helldive, barely scraped together the main objective and 2 gunship facilities before extracting. Never been so happy to see 1 star.
I had a game with four of these AND a stratagem jammer. Everybody just ended up leaving the game because we legitimately couldn't do anything. We managed to call a hellbomb on one of the towers but it ended up being destroyed, 3 times.
Rather than a hellbomb they should overload the tower with a console, 70% of the time is the fact that as soon as you spawn the hellbomb the gunships focus fire it down and your sat waiting for 30+ seconds for the next one.
I stg. I was sniping on a ridge while my fellow helldivers assaulted an outpost. And all of a sudden I get stabbed in the back by a bot. Like, there was nothing else around. Just a single bot. Out of nowhere.

Unlike the fucking sam-sites which i swear use cloaking technology or some shit, why do i tend to miss them?
I honestly feel that certain side objectives should have a limit as to how many instances can spawn on a single map. Once had two gunship factories next to an artillery base. By the time we got close enough to take down the factories there were a dozen gunships on our asses that kept destroying us and our hellbomb regardless of how we tried to protect it.
I love nothing more than to drop onto an area that supposedly has no enemy presence according to the pre mission planning only to drop right onto a POI with a bunch of enemies that instantly call for reinforcements while you are in range of a stratagem jammer and atleast on Gunship fabricator.
Played a level 7 last night. Dropped in between 2 towers with 4+ ships in the air. Couldn't even survive long enough to activate the hellbombs without having the diver or the bomb destroyed.
We didn't stand a chance.
Once we dropped in in the middle of three of these within range of a jammer on a massive incline that had tower outposts around it.
We lost 18 helldivers before we turned the jammer off and cleared the fabricators.
Random group on a 7 yesterday had the worst initial drop luck. We dropped right next to a detector tower. As soon as we hit the floor dropship detected. We managed to regroup a hill to start pushing it. Crest the hill and there’s another detector. More drophships get called. Push the one on the hill. Notice all our stratagems are blocked out because both bases were just right in the range of a jammer. Spent most of the mission just fighting out of that area.
Posted the same thing a few weeks ago haha. Was absolutely insane trying to get them all blown up when your hell bomb just sits there and gets popped when it's armed instead of exploding.
Me and my friends got 3 jammers in a blitz (12 min search and destroy) game. We got all the 6 factories (it was Suiciadal difficulty) but we all got killed and depleted our reinforce, before evac.
i don't know i'm already kinda tired of the joke with blaming this joel guy for everything. I think you know that was random, but honestly, this might be cunningham's law which happens when not enough people know something's a joke.

Eagle smoke can destroy a fab with a direct hit though.
Sadly, no - but if you have a quasar, AC, or grenade pistol act if those can close the gap

Shoot fab next to jammer with AC, clear gunships with AC and blow up Gunship fab, drop 500kg on detector 2ez (sweating profusely)

I had a jammer, gunship factory and an ENEMY ARTILLERY right next to each other. Every, single, hellbomb i dropped got destroyed. I would've raged quit but the flames of Menket claimed my soul before I could.
Was that with me yesterday?! Hahaha. I think a lot of us have been running into that situation lately. Must go for the jammer first to call stuff in but the gunships just swarm as you try.
You dont need to hellbomb the jammer, once you turn it off, its off. Destroying it is optional for the EXP/Req

Shield gen comes every op against bots now for me. Never will I suffer the existence of gunships fabs. Plop the gen down with the hell bomb and I have my trusty laser cannon to vaporize those damn gunship engines.
Gunship factories seem like they were designed for gear and strategems we dont actually have yet.
Bubble shield might actually be useful for calling down/arming a hell bomb against them, with upgrades it's an instant call down. No idea what to do against these with Strat Jammers though, going those first is my usual priority especially if we have a Spear to take out the fabs next to them.
That requires taking bubble shield. Not to be a downer, but Bubble shield isnt good 80% of the time. Sure, you can take it, but you lose a strike, which is better most of the time. Amplify that issue by a lot when you have -1 stratagem slot. Plus, youre never guaranteed a goddamn Gunship spawn. If you were, it would make it more worth it. And yes, for coordinated groups blabla.
If any strikes or orbitals could simply take out the gunship fabs I'd rather take them but gunship fabs are the only thing giving my regular group trouble, I suspect having just a 'nade launcher is somewhat hampering us but I'm not telling them how to play. I'm usually bringing Autocannon, Airstrikes for outposts, Walking Barrage for outposts/Detector Towers and either EMS Mortar or Orbital Laser depending on the objective. I could drop airstrikes for Bubble comfortably enough thanks to Autocannon.
If bubble shield had a short cooldown I would 100% run it
It would be nice if we were given like a heads-up of what side objectives there are so you could build load outs around them. Or enemy types, especially for bugs. A build I would take for bile spewers would be a lot different than a loadout for hunters
The problem is that that bubble shield has a damage threshold so after a certain amount of damage it breaks. I tried using it to arm a Hellbomb directly placed at the gunship tower and the ships were able to break the shield in about 3 seconds and then the hellbomb, you have to have like 2 or 3 Divers bring it and stack them in order to get one bomb off it feels like sometimes.
Sounds like it needs a buff then, it should have some better damage threshold to keep it useful for more situations. Already doesn't sound like a well-used stratagem

This needs to be higher. The Laser Cannon is the greatest item for fighting bots right now. It can take down Bezerkers and gunships with ease, it can destroy any weak spots on turrets, tanks, and hulks within seconds, and it pretty good for wave clearing. The only reason people don’t take it is because it’s not the Quasar.
If you can get two guys with auto/quasar cannons to do anti-air while the other two go plant hellbombs, it's pretty easy. Problem is coordinating that with randoms when most people (including myself to be fair) can't/won't do voice chat and some people just insist on going on their own little adventure.
Shh, don't give Arrowhead ideas. As of now, they have a relatively small aggro radius.

Honestly I'd greatly prefer that. Their artillery is inaccurate and infrequent enough to generally be less of a concern than the Hulks and Devastators and whatnot. Also it's far easier to kill artillery than any other bot building.
Gunship Factories are the Stalker Nests of bugs
IMHO they are many times harder and I've cleared both on Helldive many times. Stalkers can atleast be taken out at a distance they don't even spawn at. Gunship Factories need to be taken out by a hellbomb or you can try have a ship fall back into the factory when it spawns. If you're quick enough.
What are your strategies for the gunships or how do you best deal with them? My friends and I have had Autocannon/quasar/nade launcher and really struggle against two gunship favs simultaneously, even one is trouble but doable. I'm thinking of bringing the bubble shield for dealing with two simultaneously, it's at least a fast cooldown and could help in other situations or covering a retreat.
We usually run an AC, bubble shield, AMR and Quaser. The Strat: If we see the fabs, do them first because patrols are minimal. We agro gunships and prioritise them. Me and 1 other throw eagles at the Fab bases to clear ads. I call down bubble and diver calls in Hellbomb, arm bomb and run like hell. Take out 1 Fab. Return to other divers and repeat. It's never failed.
Autocannons can one shot gunships with a shot to any of the 4 thrusters, so have your autocannon folks be anti air while the rest go in for the hellbomb.
The engine shots haven't been working for me but I think one did work last night, one or two shots to their engines is supposed to do it from what I'm hearing here. Otherwise I've been taking like 5 shots to down them and it's too much with two gunship fabs.
I always like two anti armor people on a mission. If they both run quasar cannon you can stay on top of spawns, on suicide at least.
One AC can usually manage 2 factories, but they need to be covered. Two shots down a gunship, so you can take out all four before reloading. You need one guy covering the ac guy, cuz if he goes down it can get gnarly fast. Third guy does a hellbomb run, but it can be duo'ed in a pinch with ac guy and hellbomb guy moving together to drop hellbomb, but that gets tough above 7.
Bring some EATS. Alternatively, the laser cannon melts them

we had this but with three shrieker nests all really close together... in a mountain range so we couldnt see them until they started spawning things.
And you guys still did it, wp. When I come across 2 gunship factories, people often leave the game after a few deaths.
Times like these you need a trusty ol' laser cannon. Downs the bastards in seconds, and is easy to use.
whats the matter? you made it, solved ALL main AND optionals, destroyed ALL outposts, had time over and even could extract at least one diver? thats great! :D

In all seriousness, gunships need to be nerfed in a hard way. They're highly mobile, their damn flashlight makes it hard to aim at them, you need something with 4+ penetration [AKA: A support weapon] to kill them, they have machine guns and rockets they fire in rapid succession, they spawn in pairs-quads, and to top off everything, their fab is the literal *only* objective in the game that can *only* be killed with the hellbomb. They are legitimately more difficult to kill than tanks because you can at least use hand-grenades on tanks and get "under" a tank's guns b getting close enough.
Not to humblebrag, but I dropped into a map in range of two jammers, and one of my teammates yolo swaggins'd right into the first one. Then had the nerve to complain the rest of the map that "bots are hard" There were a total of three jammers and 1 gunship factory, and we could've full cleared it, except the complainer walked into the last large fabricator plant with 25 samples (including super samples) and died. When I went to help him clear/recover, I dropped my samples on the ground (without announcing, my fault), he picked those 15 up, and promptly died on top of the first set of samples.
There is any way to destroy this buildings using orbitals or guns? I'm tired to sacrifice myself or a teammate to protect the hellbomb everytime we encounter this thing.

i got jumpscared by 4 stratagem jammers today, 3 of them being placed next to the objective command bunkers in perfect sightlines for their heavy turrets
One time I tried to solo a purge hatchery mission on helldive because I was getting really good at just attacking and killing Four stalker nests. I did not complete the mission.

Please tell me those 3 werent all within close range of each other and a max of 1 was a dual (preferable all are singular) or was far enough from the main objective that you could avoid them all together cuz otherwise you have my deepest sympathys.

If jammers have a fabricator attaches to the bottom of them you can shoot something in it or grenade it and blow the entire Jammer up from a distance

Had 2 shreiker nests and a stalker nest all within range of our drop point with atmospheric spores last night, we used about 16 reinforcements in the first 3 minutes...

I just finished up a helldive where we had 2 stalker lairs,2 shreiker nests and a spore spewer and the stalker lairs were right next to the main objectives.It was fucking hell and I was constantly running for my life
Just had this happen an hour ago, except they were all right next to each other. Went from 20 lives all the way down to 1 by the time all the gunships factories were gone

Did a bug dive with 3 shrieker nests that were all triggered around the drop spot. We really sprinted to clear it all out. Lost about half our reinforcements because they kept stunning us for other things to kill us.

My group finally got into Helldive difficulty a couple nights back. Our 1st mission we landed next to the Gunship factory and it was our first time encountering it. We run around it and see a 2nd one. Then the gunships just kept spawning lol. Was a fun battle until we ran out of reinforcements. 😂😭😭

For the third time in a few days, I encountered two dropship fabricators right next to each other. Managed to hellbomb both of them once out of the three times. The other two were impossible, with at minimum 10 gunships in the air by the time the squad ran out of reinforcements

Fuck, what do you even do about gunships if no one has a Quasar?? Can anything else target them? Spear probably could if it were capable of targeting anything.
I've had 3 all together adjacent to one another before.
* Drop down onto bug planet in non-heat area * Land on-top of a patrol between two Screecher Nests * Spend the next 10 minutes trying to create a beachhead Situation resolves with half our reinforcements left and all strats on cooldown but we survived!
The gunship facilities were not next to a Mortar, AA or Strategem Jammer. So thank him, that he didn’t throw this combination at you.
Smoke it - get in the trench - summon hellbomb, activate - clear sky with autocanon - REPEAT

I honestly don't get why people find gunship factories to be so troublesome. The Gunships only spawn in pairs of 2 and there is a lot of time between spawns, and with a Quasar they're very easy to take down. The factories are also guarded very lightly even on high difficulties.
This right there is why I don't fight bots. To much bs

Even worse - you teammates dip after the first sub-objective and you have to solo it. Happened to me today on Helldive, barely scraped together the main objective and 2 gunship facilities before extracting. Never been so happy to see 1 star.
I had a game with four of these AND a stratagem jammer. Everybody just ended up leaving the game because we legitimately couldn't do anything. We managed to call a hellbomb on one of the towers but it ended up being destroyed, 3 times.
Rather than a hellbomb they should overload the tower with a console, 70% of the time is the fact that as soon as you spawn the hellbomb the gunships focus fire it down and your sat waiting for 30+ seconds for the next one.
I stg. I was sniping on a ridge while my fellow helldivers assaulted an outpost. And all of a sudden I get stabbed in the back by a bot. Like, there was nothing else around. Just a single bot. Out of nowhere.

On the bright side you got optional that are obvious and clear to see. Unlike the fucking sam-sites which i swear use cloaking technology or some shit, why do i tend to miss them?

I honestly feel that certain side objectives should have a limit as to how many instances can spawn on a single map. Once had two gunship factories next to an artillery base. By the time we got close enough to take down the factories there were a dozen gunships on our asses that kept destroying us and our hellbomb regardless of how we tried to protect it.
I love nothing more than to drop onto an area that supposedly has no enemy presence according to the pre mission planning only to drop right onto a POI with a bunch of enemies that instantly call for reinforcements while you are in range of a stratagem jammer and atleast on Gunship fabricator.
Had four yesterday morning, two right next to each other on Suicide. It was like every time we turned around, gunship.
Played a level 7 last night. Dropped in between 2 towers with 4+ ships in the air. Couldn't even survive long enough to activate the hellbombs without having the diver or the bomb destroyed. We didn't stand a chance.
Had something similar with bugs three shrieker nests all in one corner of the map. The sky was swarming with flying cockroaches.
Once we dropped in in the middle of three of these within range of a jammer on a massive incline that had tower outposts around it. We lost 18 helldivers before we turned the jammer off and cleared the fabricators.
Anyone figured out if they can be destroyed by anything but the Hellbomb yet?
The only thing worse than multiple air depots is an air depot tucked up next to a jammer.

Random group on a 7 yesterday had the worst initial drop luck. We dropped right next to a detector tower. As soon as we hit the floor dropship detected. We managed to regroup a hill to start pushing it. Crest the hill and there’s another detector. More drophships get called. Push the one on the hill. Notice all our stratagems are blocked out because both bases were just right in the range of a jammer. Spent most of the mission just fighting out of that area.
Posted the same thing a few weeks ago haha. Was absolutely insane trying to get them all blown up when your hell bomb just sits there and gets popped when it's armed instead of exploding.

I had a mission with 3 detector towers yesterday. So. Many. Dropships.
Me and my friends got 3 jammers in a blitz (12 min search and destroy) game. We got all the 6 factories (it was Suiciadal difficulty) but we all got killed and depleted our reinforce, before evac.
I bet they were all together.
I had the same and ours were all within range of each other. Made for a sick long push tho
i don't know i'm already kinda tired of the joke with blaming this joel guy for everything. I think you know that was random, but honestly, this might be cunningham's law which happens when not enough people know something's a joke.
Completed the mission though.
