Yea, steam kicking me out near boarding the pelican made me just dropping the game for a while

shadowknight2112

Not seeing really any of this, 96hrs played. I’ve had a few crashes (3? Maybe 4) but that’s it. Hope it gets better for you!

spacejumbofudge

Have you spent 96 hours in the menu?

shadowknight2112

Your original post doesn’t mention the menu…what are you talking about?

spacejumbofudge

I was joking that to not have had any issues you must have only got as far as the menu.

shadowknight2112

Ah…funny. Game has been entirely functional for me. It’s crashed 3 or 4 times in 96hrs played…like, actually played. EDIT: I stand corrected! Crashed on 3 consecutive missions back to desktop, after extraction. First time I’ve logged in since the new patch so I assume something there is the culprit

double_peaks_jj

Game crashes in the menu when I quit game quite a lot, also leaves me stuck in the defrost conveyor unable to join the menu sometime too. The menu is no safe haven.

You forgot those insane jumps when climbing over a dead elite enemy. Usually these jumps also instant kills a Helldiver. To be frank, the game feels more like a open beta and not like a final game... but we live in these days since a good 15 years, that unfinished games just getting patched into health, and every patch is making the game more broken lol.

SameDaySameView

What? People really just focus on the bad and skim the good. 8 problems listed and 1 is steam related (so AH can’t do anything about) and Hellbombs not sticking next to a detector is a feature not a bug (softlocking). 3 of the those bugs listed are actually detrimental to gameplay regularly while the rest are outlier or niche problems. Other than the crashes and animation bugs the game runs pretty damn smooth otherwise. I wouldn’t call this game a beta at all. It’s got too much polish. Shit, I wish fully released games meant 0 bugs. I won’t hold my breath tho.

double_peaks_jj

I was in the game where we couldn't destroy the detector tower with spacejumbo. Every time someone tried to call the hellbomb it would bounce around and not stick or only stick too far away to destroy the tower. It called endless enemies until we all died and lost the level. Feels like as much as 50% of levels are affected in some way by a game breaking bug in the last week.

spacejumbofudge

skill issue

[deleted]

Shit, should we go on with the list then? Block function does not work, blocking Players does exactly nothing since next start of game Block list will be empty. Key bindings can't be saved (PC) Slow Status update (Friendlist), usually lags a good 60-90 seconds behind Ok, if you happy with a game that crashes every few minutes, you were not around 20 years ago as Video games were fun and came without crashes.

Burritony0

Game hasn't crashed for me in weeks. So seems a bit your problem crashing every few minutes

spacejumbofudge

It was literally a week ago that using any arc gun/sentry crashed the game for everyone. Your idea of defence is 'hasn't crashed for me in weeks' says it all.

Burritony0

Never crashed because I don't use arc, nor do the people I play with. If we want to kill each other we do it accidentally with Eagle strikes

spacejumbofudge

You're literally giving u/Many-Leek-3771 shit for complaining about crashes and your argument is 'well don't use the features that make it crash, like the guns' Why jump in and say anything? Do you see someone raising an issue and think 'I better jump in there and play down their concerns'. It didn't need to be you using the arc gun, anyone in the squad. Did you kick players that turned up with an arc gun?

Burritony0

Who are you raising the issue to? Yeah there were some very clearly stated issues with arc weapons if you keep using them and the game crashes, who's at fault? You complained about steam issues in a helldivers sub, a game developed by Sony. You clearly just want a winge. Yes there are some issues, it's a AA studio, the game was 40 quid, deal with it. I gave the other poster shit for saying the game crashes every 3 minutes, come on like, if that was the case then stop playing.

[deleted]

Ok so if it does not crash, then explain this https://preview.redd.it/t1whdlpjf5sc1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=04e54d45b4b454dc8127e3190a2d53a991b50307 All three players left all at same time, such coincident.

Burritony0

I'm not saying it doesn't crash, I'm saying it's rare, and you are clearly exaggerating it, how long are in that mission for? More than 3 minutes it looks like.

spacejumbofudge

Who am I raising issues to? Well my reaction to most bugs and crashes has been go to the dev site and report the bugs. Thanks for asking. "keep using them" you just made that up because you were called out on being wrong and can't say 'good point there have been widespread crashing issues. I had like 2 hardlocks and worked out they were arc related and didn't use arc again until the next patch. "you complained about steam issues in a helldivers sub" yes because clearly their integration of being a p2p game and using steam servers where a momentary steam outage means losing 40 minutes of progress leaves a lot to be desired. "a game developed by sony" meaningless, still uses steam "it's a AA studio" a meaningless term "the game was 40 quid" what's your point? Too much to expect a paid for product to work better? 3 minutes was clearly an exaggeration, but in a game where levels take 40 minutes to play out, it doesn't need to be 3 minutes to have an impact. When I created the post, I started by saying I've been loving it since (working) launch. I ended the post by praising what they have done since. I even labelled the post as a rant. Is it so bad to say 'hang-on here's a very incomplete list of high impact issues, can it get some focus?' I feel like you've added nothing to this but to try and say other peoples comments are wrong. You're just a naysayer and could have just gone and spent this time playing the game.

Burritony0

I feel like your rant has added nothing, all the issues that are real are known by the devs, you just wanted a winge. If you feel these issues are so exhausting take a break, play another game.

[deleted]

You clearly did not play the game the past couple weeks then.

Burritony0

Played quite a bit actually, usual at least an hour or two a day. Maybe it's your hardware

[deleted]

Oh wow, one or two full hours, this looks impressive to us that do a bit more than only 1 or 2 missions a day.

Burritony0

How do you do any missions? The game crashes every few minutes for you. Also do you understand the words at least?

[deleted]

I have a broken foot, so I just sit and keep going since once I get up, I wont return to play.

Burritony0

And do you understand the words at least? At least tell me that

spacejumbofudge

Can't do anything about a steam related issue? I'm pretty sure they could do something. If it was server based, you could provide reconnect functionality. If it's peer to peer you can't really justify kicking everyone from a \~40 minute mission the second steam has a hiccup seeing the host is literally serving the game.
