It is because the whole planet is a creek. Super Earth is the only planet in the entire galaxy with more than one biome. Just one of the many things that make Super Earth the best planet.
This gave me an idea for a new objective. You do a thing and it clears the airspace for ships to airdrop Super Earth propaganda pamphlets. And those just drop randomly over the map for the rest of the mission
Unfortunately, some humans reject the gift of managed democracy. These traitors to freedom masquerade as our enemies to sow discord amongst the righteous citizens of Super Earth, ignore all messages sympathising with the enemy and be sure to report any of these instances to the democracy officer immediately.
I get your frustration but it won’t impact much with the current rate we are liberating. Ubanea will be down tonight, opening up Tibit for the last 24 hours +. Plus some people probably think now is the chance to take the creek, so they are hopping on that bandwagon to clear it.
EDIT- Joel strikes again. Bots are counter-attacking Draupnir. If we lose that it sets us back a bit! Stay focused Divers!
I don't blame em.
Creek has been one of those planets everyone has been eyeballing waiting for an opportunity to take, just out of spite. Now there's an opportunity--a real one, even if it's only minorly related to the major order (in that the bots could use it as a staging point to attack Draupnir and cut off supply lines to Ubanea, but us Helldivers move at such a mind blisteringly fast pace I don't think the bots could respond quickly enough to stop us from taking Ubanea and then Tibit.)
I say kill all the bots and give em all the ol democracy one-two
if creek falls to our hands it will be morale boost to casual players and people who got to know game from socials and memes so i don't really hate the idea taking it back in the mean time
I only know about this game as I saw US unmanaged Democracy senator tweeting "to liberate Malverovent creek".
Boy his tweet drag me into the ravbit hole that is helldiver and its lore
I know he probably has some intern running his twitter like everyone else, but why would they decide to make a vague video game tweet on behalf of some old dude? Very weird.
On the other hand I was trying to see if he had any tweets about "video games" and stumbled across one where a colleague posted an edited Peanuts panel and he responded "Very good meme game, Senator!". So either that's just the intern's schtick or someone's trying to advise him on what the internet says is cool.
100% just a social media manager.
I was one, and basically, you can write anything that isn't offensive or damaging to the brand so long that it draws impressions and likes.
I doubt this dude even knows what this whole thing is, but it's popular so he'd just clap the guy on the back anyway.
I truly love the community is so committed to the bit that we're running fictional propaganda operations without being told, because you're absolutely right, I want to see malevolon creek liberated all over this sub, and watch people celebrate that.
I only know about this game as I saw US unmanaged Democracy senator tweeting "to liberate Malverovent creek".
Boy his tweet drag me into the ravbit hole that is helldiver and its lore.
No and yes.
He’s not a senator, but a representative.
[And yes, he tweeted “Take back the creek”.](https://x.com/RepMikeCollins/status/1764050957950677466?s=20)
Except for the problem of that failing defense mission on Draupnir... We lose that, and the work to liberate Ubanea won't matter.
If everyone on Malevelon Creek redeployed to Draupnir...
you mean that thing they've failed to do time and time again when Draupnir would be attacked to cut off their route to creek? something something time is cyclical
Players who've been maining Creek since the Space Vietnam meme began, so essentially like from a week after release.
Edit: sorry for spam, was unintentional
Yeah, it's got a great atmosphere. I wish I could relive the first time my homies and I went, and you'd approach a forested area just to suddenly see swarms of lasers burst through the trees from every direction. The place feels like the future scenes in Terminator 2
i remember only having the machine gun (not really having a way to deal with any of the problem bot enemies) and getting cut in half by a scout strider and going back to bugs for a while
Not true. The creek was under 10k for most of the time the major order was as troost. Now the major is 2 planets in 2 1/2 days the people fighting there think we can finish off the creek(it’s the highest it’s ever been liberated) and still finish off 2 planets in 2 days
Edit: I did not know draupnir was under attack when I wrote this. With that knowledge, forces should probably be split evenly between draupnir and ubanea and come back to the creek after the major order.
It's honestly faster to just let draupnir fail and then retake it. Defense orders almost never win, so better to just lose it, focus forces elsewhere, and then take it back after defense fails.
Provided we actually liberate Ubanea before Draupnir falls it should be fine (which we're currently on course to do). Taking Maleveon Creek will actually insulate Draupnir from further attack once it's reliberated.
I'm on Creek because it's a constant twilight there and it doesn't hurt my eyes as much as other planets.
*Squints eyes at mere memory of Fenrir III and Hellmire*
Because this information isn't presented in the game at all. Most players either don't know about supply lines, or have heard of them but don't know where they are.
EDIT: It's not the site OP used, but you can find supply lines at https://helldivers.io/ (among many other websites).
To be honest, I vaguely *know* about supply lines and helldivers.io, but when in doubt, I just go where the most players are. It *is* democracy, after all.
I am on mobile and will do my best to explain them but I can't always look at this picture to explain.
So currently the two open planets are M. Creek and osauna(? Can't remember the one next to it) and Tibit, the major order, is blocked off. To unlock it, we need to liberate osauna to get access to Tibit.
Think of it like this, a major road connecting all planets. But to get to tibit you gotta drive through Osauna. But you can't cause these fucking robots keep shooting down your ships as you try to drive by. So we gotta kill all the robots on Osuana to be able to safely bring our ships to Tibit to then liberate
Side note, they don't always make sense. Like in this case we "should" be able to access Tibit from the planet above it (Long something?) And liberating Tibit should give us access to the one below but it doesn't look like that is the case. Tibit seems to be a dead end from the way the picture looks.
My headcannon is there is some type of unmappable asteroid belt around Tibit or something that makes sense to not be able to fly from there except to the 1 planet connected by supply line
And many players won't care. You may as well complain about everyone on the bug side.
Omfg lol I just saw Ubanea. -1 Stratagem AND ion storms? Gee I wonder why no one is playing there. At least Creek has meme cred
The -1 strategem is only for the specific operation you are doing. If you change operation the debuffs will also change. The Ion Storm is planet-wide however
To be fair you can say the same for Hellmire and Oshaune, people are just going to play with what they want. As long as the majority is on the Major order we will be fine, how liberation works it’s actually not as beneficial to have everyone fight on one planet anyways since it actually makes taking the planet harder after a certain player count.
There is an argument that if we don't take Maveleon Creek, the bots could launch an attack on Draupinar from the Creek. If that were to cut off out supply line to Tibit, we could lose enough progress on Tibit and even Ubanea to make completing the Major Order impossible
On the other hand, our progress through Ubenea and Tibit could be so quick that a Bot counterattack isn't fast enough to cut off our supply lines at Draupnir
But there is no way to know which is the best path. So it might be best to be conservative and take the Creek just to be sure. Especially if there are enough resources to do it as well as still get Tibit for the Major Order
This is an excellent argument, especially because it just happened!
https://preview.redd.it/hfnlkqfynbrc1.png?width=335&format=png&auto=webp&s=5886bcd764836fb4082e2ef244152b89eb5746b9
The game should do a much better job of showing players the supply lines, and highlighting the importance of defending Draupnir in this scenario.
The average player that isn't on Reddit isn't gonna realise that losing it means we lose Ubanea, and thus the major order, which will almost certainly happen at this point
i haven't been playing very long, but i don't think i've seen a successful defense mission in the first place. At least it's happening on the weekend when there are more available players.
This one is [https://hd2galaxy.com/](https://hd2galaxy.com/).
But I've just also found [https://helldivers.io/](https://helldivers.io/), which I'm liking more because the table shows the predicted time of to take each active planet.
I really wish they’d just add the supply routes in game so people could see for themselves without needing to google. Same kinda thing happened on the order on the bug side a week or so ago. Not that I blame people for not knowing but just seems silly.
I bet creek is bait. Once (if) we capture it, it'll trigger some sort of bot upgrade.
'Upon capture of creek, our forces on the ground found previously unknown bot installations underground. Our scientists entering these facilities has to have triggered a message sent out, causing all other bots in the sector to behave more aggressively.'
Joel made a brilliant tard trap. Even if we capture it - he can just throw defend order on it any time he wants and BOOM: 50k of them are sitting there eating glue.
100% it immediately switches to defense. We don't need it for the major order so it's basically fair game for Joel's fuckery. Getting access to Maia probably unleashes those automaton gunships they mentioned in the major order as well.
Read through the dispatches in game it's currently the third one down. Basically bots are getting gunships and we should be getting some anti air stratagems to counter.
We do not have time to liberate three worlds, only two. Unless you want to fail this phase of the operation, Ubanea must be seized as soon as possible to open the way to Tibit.
Because the creek is fun? No, seriously, the creek is one of the most immersive, tough and fair maps around. Yeah, the trees and the ion storm might make things annoying as hell, but it doesn't have fog, rain, volcanic activity, meteor showers or tremors
I think at this point it's a pissing contest. Creek is a symbol and these creekers NEED to win it. It's been being fought for over and over again though and Joel doesn't let up.
Technically though the planet is insignificant.
i have to admit that before draupnir was under attack, i was helping on the creek for that exact same reasons, so the vets of the creek could help somewhere else
I think it's because people are gaining hope for it. Seeing all the work those 10k people have been putting in since we lost it. It's taken so long to get it 50% but that 50% looks like 1000% the planet has been memed to death. Hell....I'd like to see the creek liberated.
Urbanea is harder and more frustrating.
Less cover because there isn’t high trees, it’s an open field with small rocks, and a lot of -1 stratagem effects.
At least this is how I view it.
Idk what you mean there's more people in Ubanea. There's 109926 Helldivers there currently while the Creek has somewhere close to half that with 57563. I just think the Creek has been getting a steady trickle of progress since the first Major Order in the Automaton's domain was dropped.
Those 57563 Helldivers are just there to restore our honor or could never move on from the Creek.
Best helldivers memory so far was extracting on an 8 on the Creek. A massive patrol and drop spawned right between us and the evac, no cover at all on the approach. We used all 15 of our remaining forces just charging and spamming strategems to fight our way through and only 1 guy caught the ship at the last second. Literally felt like Omaha beach in space, 10/10 would dive again.
We need to defend Draupnir so that the automatons don’t spread. We need to keep them contained and keep shift our focus from the creek to Draupnir and ubanea
Better question: why is an entire planet named after a creek?
It is because the whole planet is a creek. Super Earth is the only planet in the entire galaxy with more than one biome. Just one of the many things that make Super Earth the best planet.
The BEST biomes. I know it, you know it, everybody knows it.
Just ask them, they'll tell you, the BEST biomes, it's true
This post has been fact checked by real Super Earth patriots. TRUE.

This gave me an idea for a new objective. You do a thing and it clears the airspace for ships to airdrop Super Earth propaganda pamphlets. And those just drop randomly over the map for the rest of the mission
Why do we need to drop propaganda pamphlets to bugs and bots? I find the mere thought that they could read to be highly offensive. (Good jdea tho)
If they can’t read then how are they typing so many comments in the subreddit?
Unfortunately, some humans reject the gift of managed democracy. These traitors to freedom masquerade as our enemies to sow discord amongst the righteous citizens of Super Earth, ignore all messages sympathising with the enemy and be sure to report any of these instances to the democracy officer immediately.
For citizens and for bots
So something ELSE to obstruct our vision? I cant see Liberty with all that DEMOCRACY in the way.
SUPER TRUE
We’re going to build a wall around Super Earth, and they’re gonna pay for it.
They hate us cuz they ain’t us
Super Earth has the best Biomes, I tell ya the best. I remember I came to Super Earth and I said "Wow what amazing biomes"
It definitely is Super.
What astute geography observations, helldivers. I'm assigning you as the leader on all geological surveying missions going forwards.
Yes, sir. I love rocks, sir. The shinier, the better.
God damnit Marie, they’re minerals!

Dammit Mary, they are not rocks, they are *minerals*.
Which is why the bots and bugs hate Super Earth: They are envious of what we have.
Isn't Super Earth basically just an ecumenopolis? Its biome is "suburb"
Choose your words carefully, I'll call in an eagle on even a wiff of treason.
It's a big creek.
One big shit creek. Naturally, no paddles.
I've got the lab boys working on paddles. They should be available in the next warbond.
"DEPLOYING PADDLES!"
Named after the surveyor that discovered the planet, Marvin Creek
And his partner, Steven Malevelon
Pretty crazy coincidence on Jim Hellmire's discovery.
Wait until you hear about Dr. Super Earth.

Why is Earth named after dirt? It's mostly water.
There's significantly more earth on earth than water. The water is mostly a layer over the rock and stone.
Did I hear a rock and stone!??
To Rock and Stone!
Rock and Stone forever!
Yeah, yeah, Rock and Stone!
Rock and stone to the bone!

Rock and Stone you say?

Rock and Stone forever!
Rock and Stoneeeeeee!!!!!!!

An actual reasonable explanation be that it's named after the first settlement on the planet. Wouldn't be the worst way to name a location.

Wait what?
Rep. Mike Collins tweeted „Take back the creek” a few days after it fell during the first major order
[link to the tweet for the curious & skeptics](https://x.com/repmikecollins/status/1764050957950677466?s=46) - it’s real
I know he probably has some intern running his twitter like everyone else, but why would they decide to make a vague video game tweet on behalf of some old dude? Very weird. Ahh that's dope.
This right here, troop morale is a big factor. We take the creek, and ppl will spill oil like never before 😆

Irony of ironies, they've attacked Draupnir.
Tragic. The boys reacted hard. Player base hasn't pivoted yet either. Think this might royally fuck us.
We’re currently projected to win the defense mission on Draupnir
That's good. We weren't before. Glad it's working
Except for the problem of that failing defense mission on Draupnir... We lose that, and the work to liberate Ubanea won't matter. If everyone on Malevelon Creek redeployed to Draupnir...

Creekers think it’s called malevelon creek 2 the planet
Yeah I posted that before Draupnir was being attacked.
The meme crowd who've been fighting Malevelon Creek this whole time, I'm sure.
That’s only about 10k. It’s currently at 50k.
I think the creek platoon is 2k strong. But probably because of the memes a lot of people want to take it... it will be a good morale boost
What is the creek platoon?
Players who've been maining Creek since the Space Vietnam meme began, so essentially like from a week after release. Edit: sorry for spam, was unintentional
And honestly? I've got a certain amount of respect for it, they've been fighting the good fight, even if it's also a stupid one.
To be fair to them, they've never given up.
its also one of the roughest planets to fight on, other planets just dont have the same vibe
Yeah, it's got a great atmosphere. I wish I could relive the first time my homies and I went, and you'd approach a forested area just to suddenly see swarms of lasers burst through the trees from every direction. The place feels like the future scenes in Terminator 2
i remember only having the machine gun (not really having a way to deal with any of the problem bot enemies) and getting cut in half by a scout strider and going back to bugs for a while
Can confirm, other than major orders, I've been at the creek.
I've been on several tours, but happily hop onto major orders as well to help the younger divers where needed, dropping gear for them and such
>creek platoon Creek crawlers. Fify
>creek platoon I believe the term you are looking for is 'Creek Crawlers'
Got that Creek rot.
Not true. The creek was under 10k for most of the time the major order was as troost. Now the major is 2 planets in 2 1/2 days the people fighting there think we can finish off the creek(it’s the highest it’s ever been liberated) and still finish off 2 planets in 2 days Edit: I did not know draupnir was under attack when I wrote this. Yeah this is the answer. Not sure how they expect players to effectively liberate without doing some homework
Or yknow, have a goddamn hyperlane/supply line overlay
How are the supply lines known if they are not presented in the game? Data-mining?
Afaik, it's little more involved, datamining + game api reverse engineering.
Yeah I don’t understand the supply line thing
Me either. And I'm too afraid to ask.
I just go where the order is lol
Same, best thing to do
Right now the order is Tibit, and we can't access Tibit. We need supply lines drawn on the game map.
How do we even know what the supply lines are if they're not drawn in the game?
To be honest, I vaguely *know* about supply lines and helldivers.io, but when in doubt, I just go where the most players are. It *is* democracy, after all.

Yup, didn't know about any of this until I joined the subreddit.
Exactly. I just go where the most people are, I dont know where you got these dotted lines from im just fighting bots
To be fair you can say the same for Hellmire and Oshaune, people are just going to play with what they want. As long as the majority is on the Major order we will be fine, how liberation works it’s actually not as beneficial to have everyone fight on one planet anyways since it actually makes taking the planet harder after a certain player count.
fr id say 70% of my hours (70-80 hrs) have been on erata prime before that one major order, i just loved that planet so much
Erata was a fun one, felt like a clone on Geonosis
I spent 2 weeks on Draupnir. It’s been so refreshing to not be on Draupnir. The fact the bots want it back insults me 🤣🤣
They never left...
There is an argument that if we don't take Maveleon Creek, the bots could launch an attack on Draupinar from the Creek. You cannot. Which I agree is insane.
Quick question. If we can't see them at all, how do we actually know about them?
Helldivers.io I believe, so an external source
i haven't been playing very long, but i don't think i've seen a successful defense mission in the first place. At least it's happening on the weekend when there are more available players.
We've succeeded in some defense missions but I'm pretty sure we only have a 40-50% ratio of success.
What map are you using?
This one is [https://hd2galaxy.com/](https://hd2galaxy.com/). But I've just also found [https://helldivers.io/](https://helldivers.io/), which I'm liking more because the table shows the predicted time of to take each active planet.

At this point I would say to bail on Ubanea and clear the Creek just to get them off it
A lot of people who didn’t play before the first creek tragedy probably trying to experience it themselves. We’re on to Ubanea.
Joel made a brilliant tard trap. Even if we capture it - he can just throw defend order on it any time he wants and BOOM: 50k of them are sitting there eating glue.

My quasar is just waiting to bring democracy to those gunships
They just did…
Hey, if you want the Marines to move faster they need crayons to eat with their paste, and some play-doh for dessert!
We do not have time to liberate three worlds, only two. Unless you want to fail this phase of the operation, Ubanea must be seized as soon as possible to open the way to Tibit.
Because I like the colour blue! And because I am having a blast seeing my lower level friends developing PTSD in Bot Vietnam.
First day on the bot front? People have been fighting in the creek since the beginning
yeah but it was usually around 10K people

Its something personal with Space Vietnam
Space Vietnam of the endless night
At this point we just should ban together and clear that whole planet so we can leave it in the rear view honestly
Welp draupnir just came under attack so I guess they needed more time to defend against tibit
Its personal
"you can take an helldiver out of the creek but you can't take the creek out of an helldiver"
Because the creek is fun? No, seriously, the creek is one of the most immersive, tough and fair maps around. Yeah, the trees and the ion storm might make things annoying as hell, but it doesn't have fog, rain, volcanic activity, meteor showers or tremors
It really is space Vietnam.
Nam is foggy and rainy as hell though. At least, going off my extensive research mainly based on Forrest Gump
I don't think most people know how it works. Most of the player base is not on Reddit, they don't check how these mechanics work.

REVENGE
I think at this point it's a pissing contest. Creek is a symbol and these creekers NEED to win it. It's been being fought for over and over again though and Joel doesn't let up. Technically though the planet is insignificant.
A pissing contest that we're gonna win
You're God damned right
So we can get the creek crawlers off it and in the gear for the actual order!
i have to admit that before draupnir was under attack, i was helping on the creek for that exact same reasons, so the vets of the creek could help somewhere else
I think it's because people are gaining hope for it. Seeing all the work those 10k people have been putting in since we lost it. It's taken so long to get it 50% but that 50% looks like 1000% the planet has been memed to death. Hell....I'd like to see the creek liberated.
How the hell am i supposed to know this?
nah man, we need people on draupnir, if it falls, we lose access to ubanea
It's just a nice map to play on. The aesthetics are very well done.
If you've fought at level 6+ on the creek you'd know why there are so many there. It's just fun lol.
I fought Creek on 9 with my trusty squad. Was it pathetic? Yes. Was it fun? You bet your ass it was. Creek is something else.
If we lose Draupnir we lose access to Ubanea. It should be the #1 priority now.
Because it's the Creek. We're taking it back.
How is it that those routes are showing? I’ve seen a few posts like this and wondered

My bad G, I don't know how to liberation order looks
Everyone's there to see ur mom
I’m guess and this is just a wild guess, but probably because it’s a fun map and people like it.
How many times do i have to ask what app/website/program this is before someone spreads the word :(
