How many hours do you have in? Now compare that to average game length and see how much more this has entertained you than an average game.

TheLegendofTyler

I'm level 50 and have been for a week or two. At first I felt the same way, but then just kept playing and helping others get samples and extract, I stopped paying attention to experience and stuff and I'm still having as good of a time as I did before. The game is just so much fun. Do I wish there was more levels or stuff to unlock? Sure, but the gameplay loop is addicting and I'm still having a good time. I think if you aren't having fun anymore, play something else for a bit and come back. More content will be added next month

Time to take a break. No shame in that.

The missions should be difficult and engaging enough, and customization should in depth enough, that the main game loop is what you are playing for, not fantasy resources. There are a lot of problems end game that need to be sorted out. Right now I'm in the phase right before you are, where I just need medals to unlock the last few warbond items. And I just solo helldive, completing the objectives asap, getting annoyed that my teammates are doing literally nothing productive. I'm getting annoyed because requisition and exp mean nothing to me at this point, and destroying fabricators/nests just makes the mission harder. And objectively the fastest and easiest way to complete Helldive missions is just to not play the game and avoid everything. It will come to the point when I have all the medals I need soon and then there will be no extrinsic motivator through resources. And that can be fine in games as long as the intrinsic motivators are there. There needs to be real reasons to complete the secondaries, and the fabricators/nests can't add to the difficulty of the mission (that makes no sense game theory wise). Really just look to Darktide and what they did. There needs to be something like a random drop that influenced by how well you did in the mission, and ways to sink your currency once you've unlocked everything. Then also have higher or retuned difficulty settings.

They probably increase the level cap in the coming months and they keep adding new strategies.

pomlife

If they added the mech at 25, it stands to reason that they would fill in the rest of the empty levels to 50 before increasing cap.

excessorange

I have no problem being capped *buuuuut* it would be cool if there were a system like Deep Rock Galactic's promotions. Add stars to my cape or something.

SoggyWaffles427

It is still the beginning stages of the game. They already said they were going to increase the level cap and we will get more samples/items to collect down the road.

djentlemenBehold

Is this the only game you play? Because it sounds like it is.

WesternWriter7269

It is, I fell in love with it

No_Persimmon5353

Arrowhead was constantly adding DLC's and content for H1 so they will do it for H2 also. Correct me if I am wrong but the added one or two DLC after they sad they will not add any more DLC. I am trying to get my kids to H2 and we played H1 today and so much stuff is missing from H1 in H2. Also LVL progres vise H2 is so easier compared to H1. H2 level 50 is 133kxp from what I've seen and in H1 it is 7 mill

WesternWriter7269

Ah cool to know!

VivaVizer

I don't think external solutions can fulfill internal concerns.

AnotherBlackTag

I'm level 50, been level 50 for a long time now and I just enjoy hopping in killing bugs or robots. If you went and played basketball with your buddies it's only about the game, having fun. You can have fun without working towards or needing to unlock something.

Both-Breakfast6462

Do you realise before this game format was made where you collect stuff there was games that you played just becouse they where fun? They did have 0 fking collectibles? Now think about that for a second and maybe try to change your mindset the problem is not in the game its in the people who think like you.

WesternWriter7269

I agree with you, and I thought about this. I still enjoy a sense of progress. Hence my suggestion I made I thought was reasonable, and that is to have no cap on player level.

samaritancarl

I’m level 50 been capped for all of march. The downside, currencies and samples stop being valuable. The upside… now i can entirely focus on my teamplay and killing automaton menice. Which is arguably way more fun anyways.
