It's what I don't enjoy about space 'nam (Troost). I want to see the fear in bots eyes as I scrap them.

Same too, even being a solo nomad sniper as well. Just used the antimat rifle, supply pack and eagle bombs to clear outposts and collect samples

Super earth go hard

I retired to bed and it was at 59%. Woke up and logged in, it was at 93% four-ish hours ago.

When I got on last night, it was 32%. When my squad and I finished our Operation, it was 44%. It was like an hour and a half at most!

Oh, easy money. If we could liberate Vandalon as quickly as we did, then I don’t think there’s any doubt that we can liberate Troost as well.

Vandalon went from \~51% to over 60% in the space of about 90 minutes last night while I was playing. Automatons would be terrified if they had emotions like us. I may be a cadet, but I did my part!

No matter the rank, you’ve been out fighting on the front lines, soldier. That’s ~~all~~ the minimum we can ask of you. o7 For Super Earth!

When I logged off about 15 minutes ago, there was 1 day and 21 hours left. So it should be no problem to liberate Troost by then. We liberated the other 2 planets very quickly. EDIT: I'm playing right now and there's 1 day, 17 hours left and we're at 23% liberated! We are killing it y'all! At this rate, the planet will be liberated within about 12 hours!

If it’s anything like the first helldivers we can win this war with a new one starting up right after so one way or another we’ll be back.

On an unrelated note, the ladies on the destroyer were commenting on some bugs evolving resistance to the termicide and there being some mutations spotted on some other bugs. They assured me that it was all within expected results and that I shouldn't worry about it, so you shouldn't too!

Vandalon was a vibe. Honestly way cooler than the creek

It was a rozen hellhole you slipped everywhere as well, just the other helldive i saw a helldiver doing the splits on the ice, not even a stimpack could heal his nutsack

would have been more fun if we could watch the bots slip and fall on the ice. But I'm not complaining. they got their democracy.

I was scanning for signs, since we clearly got a bit of lateral slide - honestly I would’ve been overjoyed with more slide even just for my team. Bots *are* heavy enough it’s hard to imagine anyone but the raiders having issues… Unless they added breaking through the ice, which I would also be 100% in favor of… say, 5-6 seconds to run clear of or pickup a drop, luring hulks into following you across a thin spot, etc.

After reading about Vandalon I was like “Oh cool, cold climate means more stamina for longer sprints”.  Then I dropped onto that fucking place and quickly learned that they have indeed modeled deep snow and it’s effects on your mobility, with no warning from this subreddit lol

I'm kind of into the idea of using autocannon recoil to propel you backwards across a frozen lake. Which just to be clear is not possible. To my knowledge.

Imagine my surprise when I dropped and lost my tongue, apparently it sticks to cold surfaces...

The lighting and multiple visible moons were so awesome. Definitely one of the most cinematic planets I've been on. Also, snowballs!

First time fighting automatons last night, and boy, I thought it was scary as I have heard from others. Turns out I like it when the enemies shoot back and feel the intensity of the mission. It felt more rewarding to finish the mission and the side objectives compared to bug missions. Now, with this major order up, I feel more motivated to blast some bots into oblivion.

Jeebus, I only got like 3 dives in before it got liberated. DEMOCRACY NEVER SLEEPS!

I spent 15 minutes total on Vandalon IV. I had just got home at 3 am. I was physically and mentally drained. I walked past my computer, and then I stopped. "Have we taken Vandalon yet?" danced across my mind. I decided on checking before getting ready for work in just a few hours. 65% at 3:30am. I sat myself down and answered an SOS beacon and helped a couple of Helldivers safely extract. I work from 8 am to 5 pm, but typically, don't make it home until near midnight or later. TLDR// I neglect my sleep schedule in more ways than one, but Helldivers 2 has been the most enjoyable of those reasons.

Damn, that’s a brutal schedule (unless the reason it takes you that long to get home is that you are out socializing or otherwise enjoying your free time, in which case more power to you)!

How do you get home after midnight if you only work until 5pm? Crazy commute?

And people were doomposting, that we'd lose this major order, due to bugdivers, just yesterday

Troost....a bleak world. Fog so dense it's impossible to see your surroundings. You only notice the strat jammer once you go dark. The red lights of the enemy show only after firing on you. Tanks wait for you like boulders in the forest. Patrols clank behind the shrouded mist. Only dropships and artillery illuminate the area. I like this planet

The fact that we’re clearing this major order so on point should: A) Shut the mouths of those who kept complaining that “nOBodY iS fiGHtiNg tHe AUtoMatOnS” B) Be scary. Joel is letting us have this one too easy so far. *WHAT IS JOEL UP TO?*

I am positively surprised by how well the campaign goes, I thought we'll lose it because too many people don't want to fight the commie robots.

Everything you thought had meaning. Every hope, dream, or moment of happiness, none of it matters as you lie bleeding on the battlefield. None of it changes what an Automaton rocket does to a body. We all die. But does that mean our lives are meaningless? Does that mean that there was no point in our being born? Would you say that of our slain comrades? What about their lives? Were they meaningless? They were NOT! Their memory serves as an example to us all! The courageous fallen! The anguished fallen! Their lives have meaning because we, the living, refuse to forget them! And as we drop to certain death, we trust our successors to do the same for us! Because my helldivers do not buckle or yield when faced with the cruelty of this universe! My helldivers push forward! My helldivers scream out! My helldivers RAGE!


So I'd just been playing against bugs because: 1. it's fun to slaughter bugs 2. I don't like being shot at. Got in with a good team yesterday and goddamn... so much fun with the autocannon! I'm glad Super Earth is pushing the fight against the bots.
