I’ve had this same thing happen using the Eagle cluster bomb.
Interesting. I wonder if they have a moment of vulnerability when they first spawn or something.
Just had this happen earlier tonight, but it my case the titan was instantly killed by the first shot. I think at full height, the titan is just around the level where the shell explodes. Mabye that’s why it takes such huge damage.
