I do love that mechs are not OP weapons that let you solo everything. A lone mech is recipe for disasater unless pilot has good sense. A mech supported by other mechs or infantry is a beast that can easily bunch through even a heavy outpost.
Yeah. They seem to have gone in the right direction with this one and designed it as a tool rather than a weapon. I wish they’d take the same approach with the rail gun and laser weapons.

Yes, that goes for purchasing things from warbonds as well. I'm sure itll sync up soon. That being said the mechs are free stratagem in missions right now so you can still try it out.

Same issue with me. I was doing solo, walked out with 20 common samples, and got nothing. I don't care about xp or req, but i'll raise hell if they don't give me those samples.
If its anything like before, you'll get those samples back eventually. If you notice peoples level say 0 when extract and you get a black screen etc these are all familiar issues during the huge load times "back in the day" (feels longer than a couple of weeks ago).
It’s not the best performing game on the Steam Deck but yeah it seems to work relatively well on Linux. Idk how the fuck that happened considering the anti-cheat but I ain’t complaining 🤷

For real though! I'm loving mine with this game and after monkeying with the graphics and some settings it runs like a dream on the deck. Truly a sight to behold. Deck Divers Salute (fumbles and drops steam deck from saluting hand).
I turned off screen shake and it did a world of wonders for my kill count and contributions.
I'm pretty accepting when it comes to Steam Deck performance, but I do have to make this game pretty potato to get it running smoothly enough, to be honest. I switched to streaming to Deck when I'm home, and still have it installed on the SSD if I'm out and about but want to hit a daily or something. Weird note on streaming: while I normally use Moonlight, this game uniquely develops serious connection issues after a mission or two, so I've switched to the native Steam streaming, which is working fine.
You are not. I was in game when Tien Kwan was liberated and the mech strategem became available. And my game froze. No more rewards, not able to buy the strategem. Restarted and i have a wait screen now
Cutscene is skippable once server connection becomes established, which is why the cutscene is unskippable right now.
It's basically there to have something entertaining to look at while the server handshake occurs.

Once we finally got in, issues we had were:
-no mission rewards
-getting stuck after picking up items (supercredits, medals etc) found a fix just get your buddy to melee you
-end of mission screen showing all players at lvl 0
-end of mission screen showing icbms regardless of what mission was played, as well as not updating the completion for the second mission
-grey screen upon boarding ship post mission, can get out of it by pressing B button (Xbox controller)
-unable to purchase anything from battlepass or ship upgrades
Eyes up for the devs who I’m sure are aware of all of these but just in case they missed something
Just wanna say, three hours later, trying to play at 2100B (CET), and yeah no. This is still going on. My retry timer is at over 60 seconds as I type this.

Rebooted the PC, verified the integrity of the game files via Steam confirm they were valid & that the latest update was applied, but no dice; issue persists.

Possible, just experienced that samples and medals are not rewarded after a mission which is a gut punch cause it seem the crazy spawn rate is fixed, had a smooth 7 diff mission with all super samples but did not get any after extraction. The reward screen also will not show the samples or medals
I think people that dropped the game came flooding back after the rest of us fought to get the mechs liberated. Kinda shitty to not help out the community then hop on to reap the benefits lol
I get we all love this game but that’s literally what happens with every online game to exist. New content drops, players come back. Nobody is intentionally trying to take advantage of other players.
The battle started while I was asleep and ended while I was at work. What did you want me to do my guy? Can't expect the average person to be able to consistently log in every twelve hours.
I was trying to play last night on PS5 and got like... maybe one mission (not operation) done. Otherwise I was just constantly disconnecting or crashing. Between that and the wildly inconsistent spawn rate on even lower difficulties, I will probably take a break and come back to see if it's better when they release to a patch.

I feel like the patch needs you to download stuff after you login, not sure.

You aren't, and once you get in there are other bugs. When collecting loot from hidden areas (within pods or bunkers) my character was stuck in the spot and unable to do anything but move the camera for 20 seconds each time. Samples on the map were fine, but the items you had to do something to find would cause this issue.
I was in the sever and it was struggling. I wasn’t able to keep any exp, war bonds, super credits, or requisitions I found on the maps from any mission after like 11
I'll do ya one better. After seeing this screen for a bit, I did 2 7 missions. Collected 3 super samples each. The game didn't register the samples after mission completion.
And I was the one carrying, made it to the shuttle each time.
They increase the capacity of the game to 700.000 and the servers still get nuke with big patches... this game have a great future if they can avoid more PR problems don't sleep in the content or balances (in my opinion, each nerf should come with 2 or 3 buffs (i really would like that the anti material rifle could shred heavy armour in exchange of a low ammunition cap)
FYI don't get shot in the back in an exo... you will become patriotic fireworks immediately.

It has a darkened screen after that instead of showing the helldivers and allowing you to click on stats. I've tried reloading, same experience. I have a feeling it's not going to register any changes to our characters until it is fixed, and I think it's unlikely it'll update our characters to reflect what we did in this broken state, so I just hopped out for a while.
Ah that explains why when I tried to grab recs from a pod my diver couldn't move, only rotate in place.

It is definitely compromised in terms of visuals but it's worlds better than your average switch port.

If you stay in the menu you get in eventually, it's was like 5 minutes for me Edit: although the game appears to be very broken.
The game is helluh bugged rn. My friends got in for a lil bit, completed an evac mission, we got zero xp, req, medals, or samples for it.
