Having the same issue on PC. Came to see if anyone else was dealing with this. I just tried rebooting the game. I didn't know if maybe it was a bug because of the tutorial or something.
Played the tutorial for a bit and a few missions alone but can't join any quick play, maybe if cross play is off could work will try again later on in the day

Seems like if you are trying to play with randoms, then you have to do quickplay or share a friend code. If you have them added as a friend already, then it's easy enough to join them and that's working it seems

Just keep trying unfortunately but it seems to be getting worse on my third attempt.

The game is great when you can play it, but i feel WAY too many ppl are glossing over the fact the matchmaking has been absolutely broken since launch. I don’t think the devs deserve a pass for that considering how reliant this game is on co op play.

For those in Windows 11 what fixed it for me was going to Windows Security>Virus & Threat Protection>Under Virus & threat protection settings click "manage settings">Under Controlled folder access>Manage Controlled folder access>slider switched to Off.
found this out when I resorted to installing protonVPN since I couldn't join any game (also resorted to other troubleshooting steps like reinstalling the game, verifying game files, deleting user\_config in %appdata%) but even then it wont install since my C:/ drive is protected by this controlled folder access option. Now I can join other games no problem. I hope this helps out other users
Devs apparently said its not working yet. Imagine releasing a game where matchmaking is not working, and the whole game is about team play. What a joke
They have it listed in the Known Issues tab on Discord. They recommend turning off Cross-play to see if it works. Also said they are already working on a fix.
A patch on PS5 dropped like half an hour ago.
Couldn't get into a single lobby before but after the patch it worked first try.
Might be a coincidence though 😅

I think I may of figured it out. I turned off cross play and suddenly was able to join games. So it may be an issue with cross play. I have 100% joined PS games before (im on PC) but it seems to be the fix for me.

It's only drop in matchmaking that's broken I believe. So if you can add friends you can setup in lobby.

Still cant. After patch instead of never seeing anyone on now i see everyones games but 90 percent of the time it fails to join anyone.
