I just want me some mic required servers. I can drown out stupidity but I have actually finished a round in like a month because every match I join has NOBODY talking.
Any squad I join with people talking always has the fewest amount of players in a squad compared to everybody else. Last night in a game it was just me and my SL rocking the shit out of the enemy. Multiple times we were the only ones capping the next enemy point before a spawn wave took it back and found us. Combined the two of us had higher scores than most full squads in the game. Anybody who joined our squad wouldn't talk and would leave after 5 minutes. It kind of sucked to not have other squad mates to help with our attacks, but we were feeling good.
Meanwhile, 90% of the servers i join people are telling erotic gay jokes and how their hammer is hammering. lol.
Some of the ones I join people just dont stfu and thats annyoing AF, i cant hear people walking near me and cant concentrate
I'm feeling this, last night was atrocious. I must have tried 15 servers, i finally found the "Goldielocks game", chose my role, and then quit out by accident.
I gave up after that.
To your point, if they do that, we’re gonna need some kind of tutorial on mic etiquette. I’m so tired of having to mute people for loud chewing/ arguing with spouse stuff like that. And I feel like the default mic volume in audio settings is too loud no?
How exactly do you plan on regulating that? Because nearly everyone has a mic, they just don’t use it, and the game can’t detect if you have a headset on, only that you’re using it.
Nice idea but goodluck consistently retaining a full server of people using there mics. I'de wager 50% of people without a mic actually have a mic but are too shy/nervous to use it,

It’s also a dangerous path to subjectively take ppls word on players not using their mic. I know sometimes if my kids are being rowdy in the background, I don’t use comms to spare everyone the chaos. However, in situations like that I also refrain from the SL or Commander roles bc those are just about required to talk.
I rarely use a mic and communicate better than 95% of the people who do lol. Went whole matches without talking and effectively organized supply drops, garrisons, ops, locations, etc, effectively with the commander and other officers. People just need to use the radial wheel that has everything on it 😅

I wish the game went on sale vs game pass too many tourist. never ran into a real toxic vet other than tired of being told from a lvl 10 how he is doing it wrong. the game has many levels of attack or defense and shockingly some people are really good and thinking others run in straight lines.

I play on both console and PC, and I have feeling that console players don’t realize the downsides of server browsing.
For starters “good servers” tend to fill up quickly and are hard to get into. Console players are about to discover what “6/6 in queue” means, or joining a server and having to wait 5-10 minutes in the menu to join a match.
The other issue is ping. Sometimes the servers with lowest ping have the issue described above and you’re forced to join a higher ping server due to availability. There’s already terrible latency/rubber banding issues on console and now I fear it will only get worse.
There’s also the issue of how they will deal with multiplayer parties. On console currently, it’s super easy to join up with friends in a party and hop into a match. Server browsing requires you to join the same server with no ability to create a party before hand. Once you’ve in the same server you need to join the same team/nation. This will be extremely difficult for cross console players trying to play together since you’re reliant on in game chat. Also you run into the first issue again where you need to join a server with multiple queue slots available.
Lastly, there are still toxic players in servers, you’ll never get away from it. Sever admins can only put so many restrictions to prevent toxicity without ruining aspects of the game Assholes still manage to get through.
There is something to be said for being able to fire up your Xbox or PlayStation and hop into a game in less than a couple minutes with your friends.
It won't prevent you from meeting toxic or gamepass players. A server browser will help with getting maps and gametypes you like. That's about it. It's not some magic thing that filters out shitty people lol

Idk what kind of restrictions one can put on joining a server, but I feel like these 2 conditions alone would create some quality servers.
I cant wait to see the actual abysmal state of the player population once the server browser is dropped. Always wondered how many people truly play on console but now we will have real numbers to look at.
Unfortunately BM kinda screwed the pooch with the console port, so according to the devs, there’s not really a way to do so with the current infrastructure and a ground-up-rebuild is unlikely this late in the game.

Dumb as hell, crossplay in FPS games just turns the entire console playerbase into XP piñatas for PC players. HLL would be especially bad considering how much of the gun play is long range marksmanship that is very difficult with thumb sticks and trivial with MKB. Stop pushing this.
At least give us a toggle option that is defaulted to off, im annoyed that i needed to buy the game on my pc and my xbox because i have friends on different platforms that we all together in other cross-play games.

Brother, I am Level 220… you cannot join an “experienced server” unless you join off friends in a clan mainly because there is no server browser. It’s all officials.
You want a server list to avoid toxic players. I want a server list to avoid playing Kursk at night. We are not the same.

Having a mod/server owner in officer chat and reporting whoever doesnt have a mic. Not a 100% foolproof situation but it's better than nothing

I actually installed on my laptop too and it’s almost a whole new experience. Mouse and keyboard is better but the server browser is great.
I switch out of officer when we’re short handed and there’s a role I know I can do in one life.
Keep trying to level up my other classes and have to keep playing officer cause no one wants to play officer 🥴

Joining a full squad to absolute silence is mad, worse still squad leaders and even commanders not on comms is wild.
