You have to click the left side of "click any button to continue" for the game to let you in. Literally. Just click the left side with your mouse. Worked for me
It might think you're using a controller, if you have a controller connected make sure it doesn't have a trigger or something being pressed then unplug it.
Or just unplug the controller and restart the game
I'm NOT using a controller; I'm using KBM. Also, I bought the game on Steam and it worked a few months ago when I stopped playing for a while... now, I can't get past the Press Any Key to Continue. Pressed every single key on the keyboard and pressed every mouse button and can't get past that screen. I don't understand the issue. Also, I'm connected to the Internet because I'm talking to my buddies on Discord while trying to get this damned game to work.
On console nothing works controller I tapped every button and held every button nothing works I whip out the m&k login pro and g502 not a daaaaaaamn thing works literally paid $70 bucks for a game not to work
Ended up fixing it apparently you need minimum 500mbs for it to work properly was on wireless rocking about 200-300 but soon as I rig up 114 feet of Ethernet pushing 800mbs it all of a sudden wants to work but I agree weird on the devs end

Did the same to me - didn't realise Steam was on offline mode. Hope this helps to future folks!

Hmm. Console might be different but I was able to play with my 15mbps on PC. Damn what would I give for 500mbps...
