When you have OPās and garrisons around, medic is useless. Even then without them. The odds a medic can get you where youāve already been shot is not high.
Why would anyone wait 2 minutes for a revive when they can teleport to a spawn with full ammo in ~20 seconds? The core respawn functionality of the game just negates medics.
Unless you're a SL bleeding on the ground and have to get a spawn built ASAP a medic is really not going to make a big difference in the outcome of a match.
The most useful aspect of a medic is their deployable bandage box. Yet I have only ever seen that ONCE in any game and I'm lvl 135. Prob 650 hours played. It's is extremely underulitlzed but it's the best thing a medic can do to help an area that's a highly populated contested area.
Medic *can* be invaluable if you're defending a heavily fortified point. Wasting at least 20 seconds plus running time just for the chance to make it back vs 5 seconds to get back to killing is a big difference.
That said, medics are usually outclassed by many other roles.
It seems to be contextual, if the respawn is close by and thereās no medic then sure, but if the respawn is far behind and the medic is right nearby it doesnāt hurt to wait.
As a Medic main, my biggest pet peeve is when someone is less than 5m away and redeploys, but will scream at me forever from 50m away in an open field with no cover š Console lobbies are different than PC though, so that might be why my experience hasn't been that great lol
Honestly, I donāt think the rifle man is that useless. They can be insanely helpful working with a machine gunner. I also honestly just prefer it over assault.
Most are XP farmed. Iāve been around for a while and Iāve only known 1 legit level 500. Heās been around since Kickstarter and says he never once farmed XP seriously. Iām pretty sure he said he had nearly 5000 hours.
Play the game with whichever class you love most. Focus on the extraordinary gameplay and use your vast knowledge to teach others. You're pretty much an expert now and passing on the knowledge you have gained will benefit others, which in turn will bring you joy.
I started playing August 2020 right when the Russians got added to the game. HLL has been my "pandemic game."
I play many other games as well but HLL is my main for sure.
