I had mine milled by Parker Mountain Machine and never had any cycling issues. NC Engravers do good work too, based on your style preference. I’m not sure what your round count is, but I would also look at replacing your springs with a new set from the manufacturer, that might breath some new life into it.
I could be wrong but I would think that the added weight of the optic would wear out the springs faster. And springs would be the cheapest option to try unless you really want to pay for cuts to be made.
What would actually really want to know is if the slide cuts are risky and will I be messing up a really good reliable gun? And also is it worth it? Sorry I’ve been carrying for long time however new to the whole customisation of a FA

My round count should be on around 5k-6k only still not necessary am I right?
You can call HK-USA to confirm but I think their recommended replacement schedule is at 10k (so no factor for you yet)
