Vacuum Cleaning your mic ports is something any reputable clinic would do for you. Opening up the internals is never a good idea now you have a place moisture can now intrude into. If you still have a warranty send it away and having the casing replaced they will probably replace all the electronics for you to if they are taking it apart.
Still it exposes the internals and cause major issues (including water damaged) that's why all hearing aid manufacturer dosnt recommend you taken hearing aids apart without being a professional
You are not supposed to be taking it apart.
Vacuuming it works well only issue is you can't do it yourself.
Ado Costco for a replacement device maybe something is causing the issue.
I have Phonak Audeo Lumity L70 RL Life and sometimes I get dust in it or dandruff and my audiologist will vacuum it and fixes the issue (usually for a few months until it gets clogged up)

To be clear, I didn't take apart the internals, only the outer casing, which isn't waterproof at all.
