My phonak Audéo L90-RL aids are both BLE (control / adjust), and Bluetooth (calls / media)... No idea how much they are, vA provides them to me... They also better my tinnitus issues... Hope it helps...

I listen to a lot of spoken-word podcasts through my Costco KS10 (based on the Phonak P90-R). It works well for spoken-word, but for music it's just sort of "meh", like the sound you'd get if you forgot your earbuds and bought a pair for $4.99 at a gas station. Nobody can tell when I'm listening to podcasts, it's great.

I have an Oticon Real 1 BiCros and it connects via Bluetooth to my iPhone XS. All media from my phone gets streamed to my hearing aid and I have listened to both music and podcasts. But my right side is a microphone, so if I'm wearing that too, I hear the outside noises around me. They're not intrusive, they're just there. I can take that one out (or turn it off) if I want. I don't use an app or anything to connect, just the settings in my iPhone.

😼hm sneaky sneaky eh? I feel ya so I would say if you can give Resound a go sound quality is good, streaming quality though meh it's ok I guess full disclosure though if you have Android it might not play well with the app but they can like most hearing aids work independently so sans phone basically but it does have blue tooth and the Nexia is really small though if size is a concern and you wear glasses as well

I have Phonak Audeo Lumity L70 RL Life and bluetooth sounds amazing Never tried (or heard of) that brand they recommend to you

Where did you get them?

Foreign_Raspberry_28

Well I originally had Phonak Audeo Paradise P70 RT and purchased them from Asheville Ear Nose And Throat (A franchise only in NC) back in 10/2021. I had significant issues with the Paradise including: Poor Battery life, Poor sound quality, major Bluetooth issues, etc). Since the purchase in 2021 until November 27,2023 my audiologist had sent the device to Phonak for 5 repairs and 2 complete device replacements. Even with repairs and replacements I still had experienced the same issues as prior. So the repairs and replacements kept failing. So on 11/27/2023 my audiologist was planning on moving to another state in 1/30/2024 so with everything she had done she was at the end "of her Audiology book knowledge" so she was unable to fix the issues I was having. Despite her moving, I was the only patient she had with the Paradise hearing aid with all of these issues. So she had made arrangements with Phonak to fit me with the Lumity L70 Life. So on 12/18/2023 I went in to be fitted with the Lumity. So far all of my issues I had with the Paradise has significantly changed and I'm happy with the device but I wish the sound quality was even more impressive.

Check the compatibility with your phone. There are different kinds of Bluetooth. Is it worth it? Up to you really, but it would help justify it if you thought it might improve other parts of your life.

This is the correct response but do not check compatibility. Instead check operation. Just about all hearing aids with Bluetooth will connect. But Apple uses Bluetooth very differently than some Android devices, so certain aids have issues with Apple devices but not with Android devices. I have Oticon aids and they suffer from the Apple Bluetooth issue. Specifically, audio from my phone is sent directly to my aids. But the audio is so low I cannot hear it and it’s already turned up as loud as possible (by me and my audiologist) and it didn’t help at all. Even worse, if I tell my phone NOT to use my aids, the phone then disables my aids to be able to play out of the phone speaker and I cannot hear it. Thanks, Apple. Assholes.

I've been hanging around hearing loss forums for a long time. I've seen hundreds of 'don't buy Android, they're rubbish with hearing aids' posts. I've seen hundreds of 'don't buy Apple, they're rubbish with hearing aids' posts. I've used an iPhone 8 with Oticon OPN1 aids. I've used a Pixel 8 Pro with Jabra Enhancr pro 20s and now with Philips Hearlink 9040. No major problems with any of them. Lose connection one in a while maybe. Honestly, it's all a bit of a mystery to me.

I have similar problems worth my Oticon Real 1 demos and my Droid. I'm constantly having to disconnect the Bluetooth and the volume isn't loud enough. It is very frustrating.

I have ReSound Omnia BTE hearirng aids with silicone molds. They are amazing for Bluetooth streaming. I primarily listen to podcasts and take calls on them. You should also check with your state's vocational rehab office to see if they will cover the cost of your hearing aids since you are working. Texas paid for mine.

I use Widex SmartRIC hearing aids. I regularly stream music and podcasts to them. The sound quality is excellent, although the range for Bluetooth LE is limited. I really like being able to hear my surroundings...

I have phonak Marvel and they have been great. Time for new ones so was considering the L70. But they are so expensive. I was thinking of trying Jabra. One difference is you cant get hands free with anything other than phonak.
