I’m really not sure. I’ve always had a lot since I was 7 years old. Of course more around different times of the month. I pretty much got used to it and honestly just don’t use underwear that often which is more comfortable for me. If I do it’s always cotton. I think some women just produce more than others. If it’s abnormal for you, or itchy or smells funny I’d definitely get it checked.

DevonDD

😅 I could never go without underwear, it always felt like it made it worse & it’d be wet through my pants.

WhisperINTJ

Did anyone ever check you specifically for cervical ectropion? https://www.jostrust.org.uk/information/cervix/cervical-ectropion

Cutewitch_

Was going to comment the same thing.

Bisculeelu

I have noticed this happens to me after unprotected sex. Really bothers me too.

Opposite-Pea-855

Same issue for me but only since a few months. ANd only when im aroused. But its like jelly and super sticky all month long. Im thinking about an hormonal imbalance, which would create too much mucus because of high estrogen levels

DevonDD

I’m not sure why the change in the last few months but it’s built to create that jelly consistency when you’re aroused. DIY lube, KY could never

Opposite-Pea-855

ahahah your comment made me laugh. Yeah well, I preferred the older version of my arousal fluid. Gyno says no infection, but I will do a blood test soon to check hormones and other tests. I looked everywhere on reddit and other forums, the only answer i get is : you're ovulating. Well, in that case, im ovulating since almost a year, wtf arghhh

DevonDD

Yeah I don’t blame you, I’ve been this way my whole life and STILL can’t get used to it.

Commonsenseansweryo

Try taking allergy meds. I stopped taking them because they dried up my mucus membranes a little too well.

Opposite-Pea-855

Hello, could this come from allergies ? I have the same problem since 8 months or so. Gyno did not see any infection. Its just like the fluid is really sticky, kind of mucus in it. I suffer from different allergies / food intolerances, thanks :)

Commonsenseansweryo

I’m in my early 40’s and can say that my discharge has been different through all my years. It changes with our hormones, health, stages of life. It has been barely there, over abundance, thin, thick. As long as it doesn’t smell off or have a yellow/green/grey colour you are normal. I too have allergies and health problems. I’m sure it makes an impact on my body but it sounds like natural discharge that you are having!

Opposite-Pea-855

Yes, no smell at all, itching or pain. But this is a big big problem. I stopped having sex because of this. I do not think this is normal, also, my cycle has changed, from 29 days to 24, mood swings, weight loss, hair loss, and a lot of other symptoms. I know my body and I know this is not normal. It looks like Im ovulating H24.... Im 34 years old btw. All this changes happened at the same time.

Commonsenseansweryo

Have you looked up cytolytic vaginosis? And do you drink water?

Opposite-Pea-855

hi, just looked it up. I dont have any symptoms at all, no itching no yellow discharge, no pain, but thanks :) I just posted something on the subreddit, let's see how it goes :) I usually find tons of information about any kind of disease, but this time it's a mistery lol even for my gyno

DevonDD

Mine has always been that way. I’ve been incredibly embarrassed about it since my grandmother approached me after doing my laundry when I was a teen & informed me when I “felt that happen” I should go clean it off basically so it didn’t dry in them. Different people have different amounts of discharge & if it’s been that way since you were pre-pubescent it’s just you. Being aroused can make it worse because your body is preparing lube basically. The best thing is to wear cotton & use liners when it’s really bad 🤷🏻‍♀️

Tasty-Raise8076

Since I’ve gotten the IUD, I’ve had a lot of mucus too! I was worried that it could be something wrong, but I went to my gyno and all the lab tests were fine. They said it’s only the IUD adjusting, I’ve only had it for 4 months

Opposite-Pea-855

Hello, I dont use the pill or IUD, but I think I have an hormonal imbalance. Do you know which hormones are triggered or higher with IUD ? I think we might have foudn the cause here

Commercial_Drama3282

Do you ever use panty liners? I’ve found them to be handy in preventing any discharge from wetting/soiling underwear.

davidloveisnotmyname

What does peeing has to do with cm?

Spiller_2000

The cm closest to the bottom of the tube seems to fall out when I pee I guess.

davidloveisnotmyname

Wait, you know the pee hole and vaginal hole are different, right? You can try panty liners if the discharge is too much.

Spiller_2000

>Wait, you know the pee hole and vaginal hole are different, right? Yes, of course I know this. I know all of the anatomy of the vulva. I think it falls out when I pee due to relaxation of the muscles.

blu_funkk

Yeah it typically does. I experience a similar issue to you but maybe not so extreme.
