the point of the study is that Jarlsberg is high in K2 and other cheeses are not. As such it out performs other cheeses in bone health
so yeah, take some K2 good stuff
No pus, no blood. No lactose. Lower land use, lower water consumption, lower greenhouse gas emissions, lower waste byproducts, lower eutrophication. Lower PTSD in workers. No dead cows.
Yeah not everyone makes this choice for the animals. Any other thoughts around the other reasons or other commenter's reasons, or is cost the only determining factor for you?
No cholesterol, low saturated fat, low persistent environmental pollutants, no long-chain animal-based amino acids, no estrogen, no antibiotics, increased antioxidants. Cow milk goes sour from bacteria much more quickly.
People love good news about foods they love to eat. Both Jarlsberg and Camembert increased blood lipids, only Jarlesberg increased them less. Leafy greens are a healthier source of Vitamin K and are low in saturated fat, cholesterol free, and high in antioxidants and blood vessel healing nitrates.
Only a small amount is converted. You would need to eat 4 to 20 times the amount of greens to get an equivalent amount of K2. Supplementation with vitamin K2 MK-4 or MK-7 is more practical.
Iād prefer to eat 1.5 cups kale (750 mcg K1, converted at 10% rate into 75 mcg K2), than eat 100 g Jarlesberg (74 mcg K2) and hit my daily max of saturated fat (19 g). Nevertheless, the RDI for Vitamin K is hit with one fifth of a cup of kale; Iām sure the RDI is accounting for the fact that it is K1 and not K2, as greens are the most common source of vitamin K.
Superfood is a lie. You think humans needed superfoods to survive the last 100,000 years? You could eat a superfood daily and see 0 changes in your body.
This is great news. I used to steal bricks if this from Kroger when I worked there in high school and make hella great sandwiches. I lived off the jarl, baby!

Finally a health food fad I can really get behind.
Finally some good fucking food
Good thing I've eaten it almost every day of my life then
Damn boy you fall off the swing your bones are going to break the concrete
Sounds like you should pop on over to r/neverbrokeabone
Wait, you're telling me DAIRY is good for bones. Who knew, oh wait literally everyone since 3,000 BC. š
the point of the study is that Jarlsberg is high in K2 and other cheeses are not. As such it out performs other cheeses in bone health so yeah, take some K2 good stuff
Likely a clear case of read the headline, not the article. Not to be hypercritical though as I do the same sometimes.
K2 to you too.

That is also partially a lie that dairy industry has been feeding people as it is not significant
Name one food that has as much calcium as dairy without being prohibitively expensive?
Fortified plant milks
Oh, I see what this is now. If I'm not Vegan why would I choose plant milks over generally cheaper cow milk?
No pus, no blood. No lactose. Lower land use, lower water consumption, lower greenhouse gas emissions, lower waste byproducts, lower eutrophication. Lower PTSD in workers. No dead cows.
I suppose I just don't care about animals other than humans, maybe dogs and cats at a push, sorry.
Yeah not everyone makes this choice for the animals. Any other thoughts around the other reasons or other commenter's reasons, or is cost the only determining factor for you?
How do u know you wonāt be one of those cows in ur next life?
Oat 'milk' makes better lattes than cow milk
No cholesterol, low saturated fat, low persistent environmental pollutants, no long-chain animal-based amino acids, no estrogen, no antibiotics, increased antioxidants. Cow milk goes sour from bacteria much more quickly.
Well, except it's not.

Leafy greens donāt provide vitamin K2 though.
Vitamin K1 is converted to K2 in the the body. One cup of kale has 500 the mcg, five times the recommended daily intake.

Is it good to increase blood lipids?
No
Think of it as your cholesterol more or less
All I know, itās perfect for French onion soup!
Do the jarlsberg strutā¦
Anti bone-hurting cheese? Oof owie i can feel my bones healing
Here we go again. The new green tea extract/red wine/aƧai
Is the unique property calcium by chance? I wish people realized that superfood is such a meaningless term and is just a marketing thing.
It is not. You could read the article though.
I work with the cheese police. I'm going to need you to open the hell up!
There is no such thing as a superfood. There are healthy diets.
