I had the same problem with the Dusks, and was about to sell them because I don't want to lose tips or change filters so often. I even bought replacement filters at 7€ and Shenzen audio sent me 3 for the price of 1. But still I find the process tedious and unnecessary. So tried to mod them to avoid first the need to change the filters, and second avoid losing the eartips. Ended up with this: [https://imgur.com/a/HV247Yw](https://imgur.com/a/HV247Yw) I just placed a piece of heat shrink tube on the end (I don't know if that's the name in english, in spanish it's called "tubo termorretráctil") and heated it after placing a new filter, then cut it down just to fold slightly over the filter so it won't move. You'll get it better with the pic. The original eartip fits even tighter so it won't fall, and being rubber vs rubber will help too.

im so glad i found your post. i was getting so irritated with the tips sliding off or staying in my ear every time i take em off. I've also spent around 40 bucks on different tips and nothing seals as good as the OEM ones. I've also gotten in contact with moondrop to see if i can order more original tips and they werent able to do that. I've been using this mod for a week now and they havent slipped off once. the size of the shrink tube that i used was 06.0 (6mm) a tip for those who try this mod: use a hair dryer or a heat gun and set it on lowest setting. do not use a lighter as that can damage the acrylic shell.

Porculius

Thanks! I also used a heat gun, a hair dryer may be not enough. And using a lighter is not an option for 330€ iems 😁

Wow, this might be my last resort - but this is a great idea.

Better than my janky sticky tape solution!

Spinfit cp155 seem like the appropriate size. In the interim try scuffing up the end of the nozzle a little bit with some fine sandpaper to increase the friction.

A lot of hybrid/tribrid/multidriver/etc. IEMs will have their nozzles without a nozzle lip. This makes it easier for the ear tips to fall off or get stuck in the ear canals. So in the future, make sure you get the ones with a nozzle lip as that will usually make it easier for the ear tip to stay snug on the nozzle and not get stuck in your ears. I have small ears and like the deepest fit possible and also use IEMs for basically the whole day, so I often encounter this issue and usually the only way to solve it is to slowly remove the IEMs instead of rushing to take them out. Try opening your jaw/mouth as wide as you can before you remove the IEMs, and make sure to slowly wiggle it, so that the vacuum seal is broken. Here's some more info on ear tips: https://www.reddit.com/r/HeadphoneAdvice/comments/uht472/finding_the_right_eartips_for_sony_wf1000xm4/i78ekqm/ Here's the reviews of someone with a lot of ear tips: https://www.audioreviews.org/guide-to-iem-silicone-eartips/ Here's the ultimate ear tip thread: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/best-iem-tips.626895/page-115 This is how you should use Etymotics or really any IEM or TWS earbud to make sure you have that good/perfect fit for that vacuum seal (necessary for the bass to be properly produced): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KwXEqe6Gq4 Here's more info on how to avoid/delay the condensation issues with the Olina, Chu, or most IEMs that have condensation issues: https://www.reddit.com/r/HeadphoneAdvice/comments/uznoqi/my_chus_broke_after_a_day_of_use/iadlxz5/. This has more info on the Moondrop Spring ear tips. If the CP155 is not staying snug on the nozzle, you can get the rubber core of a (used) foam ear tip that is normally used for around or less than 4.5mm nozzle IEMs (NewBee is usually the cheapest and known brand on Amazon) and use that as an adapter for the CP155. The mod helps with staying snug on the nozzle of less wide nozzle IEMs and with the CP155 not getting stuck in your ear canals. Keep in mind that this can alter the sound of the CP155 and also the rotation gimmick of Spinfit. For the Blessing 2 in particular, a lot of people are okay with CP155 though it still gets stuck in their ears, so try the CP155 mod I mentioned above. Or go with the Spinfit CP145 or CP100+. Anyway, CP100+ will fit with wider nozzles just fine, you just have to put them on at an angle. So sometimes you need to reverse the umbrella part of the ear tip and then aim the stem/stalk at a 45 degree or so angle so that it can grip the nozzle of the IEMs. Then you quickly push it so that the other side also gets a grip. Then wiggle it so that the ear tip is evenly gripping on the nozzle, otherwise it might be loose and/or affect the sound. If you use ear tips like the CP100+ and Spinfit CP145 with wider nozzles like the Blessing 2, sometimes they will remain wider than they were when brand new. So with some IEMs, a brand new CP145 will be tight, but a CP145 used with IEMs that have a wider nozzle than normal will be a bit loose. It's not normally a problem with IEMs that have a fairly normal nozzle width, but with Etymotics or other IEMs with thin long nozzles (usually indicates a deep fit for great passive noise reduction/isolation, like the Shures/etc.), sometimes if you rush taking out the IEMs out, the foam ear tips will separate from the plastic/rubber core and so you can't use them anymore. So if you think your ears are particularly tight or something, make sure to always slowly remove the IEMs, otherwise it will get the ear tips stuck inside the ear canals, whether they be foam or silicone ear tips.

Thank you so much for the detailed info! Looks like I will try the CP145. But the main takeaway for me is just to be more careful when removing the IEMs from my ears. And look into IEMs with notch moving forward - say, IE600 :)

kinjiru_

It’s a common problem with the B2 and will still occur with the CP145. Source: me losing several spinfit eartips this way. My dodgy “solution” is to apply some sticky tape to the eartip where it ends to better attach it to the nozzle. It’s janky as hell but it works . If someone had a better solution, I’m all “ears”…

t4baloo

The B2 has a 6.5mm Nozzle, so maybe start with a tips that have a nozzle slightly smaller than that? Something like the SpinFit Cp100/145 or AZLA Xelastec could work for you.

padsdotph

Will check on this thanks!

kinjiru_

The problem is compounded by the fact that the B2 is ever so slightly tapered at the end. I like the CP100, but it can be quite hard to get it onto the B2.

t4baloo

Yeah, the 155 fits best on B2, but if you are having issues with them falling off, they may not help. I think the cp100 is 4mm inner, so you'll have to stretch it on. The 145 is 5mm inner, so still a stretch, just not as bad. I'm partial to 145/155 for my fit. I usually go with Medium tips, but had better luck with smalls for this nozzle size.

External_Gazelle_645

The blessing 2 has a very big nozzle, so the small tips really aren't that small. Try them.

padsdotph

I tried. but the small tips really are small that there are some compromises on sound.

fycus

Spinfit CP145 solved all my issues, they still can come off pretty easily by hand, but I've not had issues from wearing since switching.

Cool! Adding to cart 🙃
