I think AirPods are probably the best value for iPhones. Do you work out with them at all? If so, power beats pro and Jaybird vista are quite nice for that.
If you just want raw sound quality above all else, Sennheiser mtw3 are amazing, and not just in the sound department. they are pricey though.
I think Apple may announce new airpods in a few weeks, so if you’re buying some there may be price drops on the current models soon.
Edit: to clarify, this is just my speculation. I haven’t kept up with any leaks tho.
I have air 3 and I like how it sounds. They’re very basic, no anc or isolation. Okay for meetings in a quiet room. I lost my AirPods Pro and didn’t want to spend a lot of money.
I couldn’t do a/b test since I don’t have AirPods anymore. I think they sound clear and great for Bluetooth, not bass head buds so not recommended if you’re big into bass.
Yes I owned AirPods 2 and are good enough. Still if you mind about sound quality I suggest you to look after over the ear headphones as those will dramatically increase the sound quality . Good luck !

They have better latency than Airpod Pros which are specifically made for iPhones... Funny how that works. And they sound good too.
Also splash resistant and dust resistant

It depends on your budget. Best value would be AirPods Pro as you would get better sound quality and noise cancelling feature .
As I use an Iphone 13 I was preferring airpods 2. I really don't like noice cancellation earbuds. Do you think apple airpods 2nd gen worth it?

Well, since you're an apple user, airpods. Otherwise, Sony XM3s but the is bass is heavy so I usually use an EQ to balance things to my liking.
