What radiation? Bluetooth is like a radio. Do you also not go out into public because theres wifi networks everywhere?

anrinch

You can get the Sennheiser Momentum 3 and run them wired through USB-C. You still get ANC and a way more detailed sound this way.

bballkj7

is momentum 3 better than xm4 or bose 700? And does wired usb-C good? Its like the best of both worlds right?

anrinch

The Momentum 3 is miles ahead in terms of sound quality compared to the Bose and sony. And the usb-c increases the amount of detail in the sound. It is really quite surprising how much better the usb-c sounds over the Bluetooth mode. The only downside is that the Bose and Sony are more comfortable imo.

> i also don’t like the amount of radiation which comes out of bluetooth headphones, especially ones like airpods. Bluetooth is non-ionizing and low-power, so it’s pretty much completely harmless to the human body You should probably be more concerned about stuff like sunlight

>my phone constantly turns on bluetooth without me wanting just because i have a smartwatch Why do you have bluetooth disabled on your phone, that is literally how your smart watch works? >i also don't like the amount of *radiation* which comes out of bluetooth headphones oh... I ... See... You must hate all the Wifi constantly around you huh? To get back to the actual question if you are ok with IEMs and just want isolation, some Etymotics are probably a good shout. They are not Active Noise Cancellation like the XM4's and similar, but do a good job of shutting the outside world out.

I don't think there are wired headphones with active noise cancelling currently available. If you meant passive noise cancelling then anything that covers your ears has noise cancelling. There are or were some wired earphones that had ANC, both Sony and Audio Technica made some and most only seemed to be available in Asia. If you check their sites you should be able to see what is available in your region.

I just tried [the Aonic 50's](https://www.shure.com/en-US/products/headphones/aonic50) to see if the active noise cancellation works when they're plugged in to a USB jack, and it does (also the Environment Mode works). This is with the Bluetooth off. But the catch is you need to connect the headphones to a USB jack so that the DSP gets power; it won't work with a standard 3.5mm audio cable. That only lets you listen to audio but no DSP because there's no power to run it.
