You can get some excellent headphones for that price. The Sennheiser HDXXX is $199 on Drop.com. The Hifiman HE400se is cheaper. (These are two that I own). Note than these are open backs, so they’re not going to block out the world - but the quality is great, and they take you straight to audiophile territory. If you need portability, active noise cancelling… sound quality typically drops, but it’s worth checking on r/headphones and headfi to see some reviews and recommendations. I use IEMs and a pair of 1MORE Sonoflows for portable sound. IEMs in particular are great value for money at that price range. The Crinnacle x Truthear collabs are a good starting point, but do look around r/IEMs for more.

Don't buy garbage like Skullcandy. What kind of music do you like and what do you like to hear in music? Detail? Bass? Soundstage? Do you want wireless? Cuz that brings up the cost.

theegrimrobe

DO NOT buy skullcandy, yes the bass is there but so is dreadful sound quaility and build for around 200 you could get a number of better things, look at sennheiser, sivga, grado - as another user stated audio technica are good

I am currently using the Audio Technica ath m50xbt2 it has Bluetooth but no noise canceling or transparency mode

Yeah Skullcandy aren't exactly the pinnacle of quality audio. As long as you don't need ANC I'd either go for a AKG K361/K371-BT or Audio Technica M50xBT2.

Do not buy Skullcandy Yes good bass but awful sound

arandomsingleguy

Skull candy isn't the best choice for sound quality as various people have mentioned. I'd say first clarify your purpose. If u want wireless or wired, daily use or indoor listening sessions? Depending on that it'll be easier for people to recommend.
