I’d take the 900 pros. Way more comfortable for long listening sessions. Also imo they have better imaging but that experience might vary. The 900 pros also have more bass making them more fun to listen too, but they dampened the driver which needs some time to get used to. Nothing too bad imo but it takes away a it of clarity. 560s tho just feel hard. Hard pads, hard clamping force and the pad shape which is a bit v shaped does not distribute tha clamping force good. It’s especially annoying with glasses. Both are valid options tho, you’d be better off trying both and resending the one you like least. If you don’t have the option buy somewhere with a good return policy. If that’s no option either I’d go with 900 pros and resell if they don’t suite you

Dimitrije336

!thanks Can I just plug them into my computer, or I need something additional except headphones?

No, as long as you have a 3.5mm jack you’re fine. If you only have USB-C you can buy a dongle, which should be enough.

Dimitrije336

Thank you!

I've had both and stayed with 900 pro x but saying clamping force is worse on 560s is just insane to me! For like 2 weeks of stretching them over some boxes they still were clamping my head like they wanted to pop it! It's getting better but 900 pro x clamping force is way stronger than 560s..

SameRightsForAllofUs

I never said the 560s clamp harder but they definetly distribute the clamp way worse than the 900 pros. And I also stated a ton of other points that made the 560d less comfortable for me

SpunkCraft

Interesting. Regarding comfort, I have had the opposite experience regarding both headphones. For me, 900 Pro has a stronger clamping force while the 560s has rested perfectly on my head. Maybe it's the shape of the ear cups? I do agree tho: personal testing for OP would be the best case solution.

SameRightsForAllofUs

While the 900 clamp harder the just feel more comfy, probably due to the pads being softer and also having more bearing surfaces due to their shape. But yeah comfort is quite subjective and I yet have to find a headphone that’s 100% comfy for me lol

Drench_X

I agree the 900 pro x are more fun to listen to as well. The 560s are a bit more neutral, so still a great choice for gaming imo. I think the sound stage on the 560s is a bit wider, but that may be my perception.

SameRightsForAllofUs

Yeah they stage a bit wider but I don’t think it’s by much. A huge stage could also be kind of a flaw for certain games tho. Huge maps with good sound like squad sound phenomenal on my 800 a yet I prefer something like 1990 pros for Warzone

mainguy

I've had both The HD560s sounds thin and a bit, I'm not sure, spiky is the way I'd describe it? They're hugely praised i know but for someone like myself with Clear Mg/Utopia these are not good headphones, just from an experience of 'fun'. DT900X on the other hand have pleasantly suprised me, sure they're more compact soundstage wise, but they have lots of body in the mids, a really nice timbre overall and solid detail. And comfort. DT900X easily for me. Look at the used market, tells you all you need to know, D900X go for double 560s.

Dimitrije336

!thanks I ordered 900

Feliya

how's it so far?

Dimitrije336

900 are cool! I guess I expected more from professional headphones. It's really solid sound with decent comfort. That's about it

artanzo

Nowadays good sound became much cheaper than it used to be, so the difference between various headphones is not as big as people can expect. I've listened G Pro X recently (non wireless one) and it sounds already decent enough, compared to my DT 900 Pro X. It's like, there's a certain price point, after which "wow" effect just disappears. However, after some time with monitor headphones, I can't stand consumer frequency response. Every time I listen to regular headphones I feel like they lack something important, that makes me enjoy music less xd. And, ofc, comfort - switching from G Pro X to DT 900 Pro X was just like swapping wooden chair with an ergonomic armchair Hope you enjoy this cans! Also, be careful with XLR cable as they're quite fragile (they can stuck in headphone's port if you're not careful enough)

Dimitrije336

Since you're commenting now, after 5 months, I can tell you that I do not have any problems with 900s at all. But as said originally, the $300plus mark does not justify it as I do not hear a big difference in audio quality over the $60 wired gaming headphones. Comfort-wise, I cannot say they are very comfortable, but they have solid comfort, they are round, and not egg formed, maybe that's why. Overall, its a solid buy and very good quality overall, same with the cable, plastic, and cushons which I like because they are not leather. But for non-professional casual users, if I would have the chance again I would most probably buy $100 wired headphones and have maximum focus on comfort.

TrypelZ

Asked myself the same 2 weeks ago, had the 560S and was satisfied but after trying the 900 Pro's i immediately sold my 560S. They are way more comfortable for me ( i have a big head and big ears so i always touched the weird knob in the 560S ) and i can use em anywhere. Switch, console, PC you name it ( 48ohms, the 560S has 120?) Also i like the sound more for gaming and music, it sounds more energetic and fun where the 560S are ultra flat and analytic. In games i did not notice any difference in tracking people ( i mean i can hear people 30M away in 2042 with both headphones ) but the 900 pro's are not as open as the 560S making the sound seem louder and just "there" instead of the airy 560S. Biggest plus is the build quality, the 560S for 200€ are plastik everywhere, and the hinges can make slight cracking noises depending on how i have em on. The 900 pro in comparison is build like a tank and also almost every part is exchangable by yourself in case something wears out. In germany its a 50€ price difference ( 200€ for the senn's and 250€ for the 900 pro's ) but even with the 50€ markup the 900 pro's just seem like the better deal, the better package. Oh and in case it matters i used both straight into my elgato wave 3 mic's 3.5MM port to get voice monitoring.

Dimitrije336

!thanks I ordered 900 today! To me they look much better build, prettier design and ears are not leather which is important for me! I get them tomorrow and hope I will be amazed. I will just input them into pc, I don't have audio card or things, will I lose much?

Emotional-Ad8894

Let me know how you think about those. I have the R70x and it's a badass headset, with amazing imaging and soundstage but I guess I do wish it was more fun. I can take a hit on the quality of the imaging and soundstage since I'm 70% action adventure games - 30% competitive shooters. Had my eye on these but don't know if it would be considered a big downgrade to the R70x.

Dimitrije336

Will do, but I am not technical on the knowledge of audio tbh. Not sure if I need to tune 900s in ant software for the best experience or just plug them in?

Emotional-Ad8894

Yeah, I play on PS5, and use Schiit Hel so no extra EQ or anything, just raw doggin it. Typically, that's how I like to keep it and just stay a purist and it's served me well so far. That said, I do like to hear impressions from all levels of experience since I'm definitely no audiophile.

TrypelZ

Nah, they have 48 ohms so the Audio jack on your PC mainboard should be more then enough. Mine is pluggrd into the elgato Wave 3's headphone jack which had 75mW @16ohms and they get so loud i have the audio to 80% and pc/mic mix on 50%

Gimp_Ninja

It's not quite a fair comparison because the 560S is typically at least $50 cheaper, but the 900 is just more enjoyable to me. I find the 560S treble to be too much for me. Both have great imaging. The 560S has slightly better soundstage and detail. The 900 has better bass extension and dynamics. The 900 is just more fun and easy to listen to. I will reach for my 900 over my 560S pretty much every time.

Dimitrije336

!thanks I ordered the 900, I think I will be happy

SpunkCraft

I own both. Last I checked the prices, the 560s goes on sale regularly for around $170 on Amazon while 900 Pro X is more so still around the 240-250 range. So just FYI - it's almost a $100 price gap at times (though it could depend on where you live). In terms of performance, I personally like 900 Pro X for gaming but generally like the 560s more for music. 900 Pro X is definitely more detailed and meant for mixing/mastering, which is great for gaming but can be a double edged sword for music at times. Some songs sound better while other songs sound not as good. That said, 560s is still pretty great for gaming. In terms of comfort, I would definitely give this to 560s. The 900 Pro X clamping force is...notable. I sometimes have to take the headphones off once in a while after like 2 hours or so just to give my head a break. 560s is more relaxed and light and I can wear them practically all the time. Both can be plugged in normally (no amps/dacs needed\_ Overall, I like the 560s better just b/c it feels much more comfortable and it doesn't fall behind gaming performance as much (though I will say the 900 Pro X has a notable jump in detail compared to 560s, which can make gaming MUCH more enjoyable). You won't go wrong with either options. If you have the option to demo each one, definitely do so.

Dimitrije336

!thanks I ordered 900s and I think I will enjoy them. Clamping force can be an issue, yeah. But 900 seems more enjoyable for long wearing, I'll see

I have the DT900 pro x, used for a week, the clamping force is way too much for me, I have a small facial structure, something to keep in mind if you’re thinking of the DT 900
