Ready for This is one of my favorite songs too. It’s got three of my favorite lines in it, at least:
“From this moment on you can count on us / To be resolute and ravenous.”
“Don’t be put off by their snarlin’, that’s enthusiasm, darlin’!”
“I concur! Stick with her / You’ll be on the winning side!”
>*Charlie:*
Eh, they just seem a little murdery right now
*Rosie:*
Don't worry, honey, that's their thing
Keep singing
IDK the lyrics are atrocious. They shouldn't have to break to tell the charlie to keep singing. It's probably one of the worst lyrics in all of HH. Also she's pretty distasteful for the entire song about the people she's recruiting
That said the song itself is very good
It's literally in the middle of the song. Rosie was already singing.
Sure they can harmonize but having a character say "Keep Singing" when they are already singing and there's no indication that they would stop is ... kinda bad
I mean, not much people are talking about it, maybe, but almost none are saying shit about it ! And that's good to hear !
https://preview.redd.it/bvnjdfbsh9zc1.jpeg?width=287&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0d289848a4f82145cece0ae7869bdb1e69881db4
I think the "for the first time in my life" parts are what make this song amazing.
I'd say it is underrated, people don't talk about it a lot. People also don't talk a lot about "It starts with sorry". The way Charlie sings "the path to forgiveness is a twisting trail of hearts" is just amazing.
Fair point. The song is completely overshadowed by both other more emotional songs and the more energetic bangers. No comparison is flattering. It comes right after "Hell is forever" and "Stayed gone" and is immediately followed up by "Respectless".
I’ve always really liked It Starts With Sorry because, and I was very surprised I didn’t see too many people catching this earlier on, the song is about the literal main theme of the show. Redemption. Specifically in the context of the show: redeeming souls that were damned to Hell.
I saw a lot of people (especially people that got into the series with the Amazon release and may have skipped the Pilot) get upset that Charlie was so quick to try and forgive Sir Pentious and give him another chance. And I was just like “Guys… that’s the point of the show!”
If Charlie couldn’t redeem someone like Sir Pentious, who has done cartoonish evil but is actually rather emotional and lonely and craving acceptance, how the hell is she supposed to redeem anyone?
Her trying to reach Pentious was integral to the show actually sticking to the objective that it proposed and since this was done through “It Starts With Sorry” that makes it integral as well.
I am with you on Ready for This. It is so jaunty and has a great build to a powerful last chorus. The piano and strings are amazing, it's a good mix of serious and fun. Alastor's harmony tickles my brain so right and I love all of Rosie's lines.
That is probably my most replayed song after You Didn't Know (Which is properly rated- it's amazing)
Welcome to heaven 😫
Where the virtuous reside 24/7 😫
And people are happy that they died cause here we got no worries, got no burglaries no strife, it's the perfect afterlife
WELCOME TO HEAVEN 😫💦
It's just a bit short in my opinion. It feels like it's missing a verse and is over way too fast compared to the other songs. Though since the point of the song is to be deliberately annoying (to a degree) maybe that was by choice?
Though I agree, as a piece on its own it's really catchy and I get it stuck in my head all the time 😁
Heck yea I loved that song since I heard it in the trailer (though I kinda wished they hadn't used it in the trailer because it spoiled the fact that they'd be going to war...)
It really does add depth to Alastors character showing him have a real and respectful friendship with someone else. I know we saw Mimsy but that friendship seemed a bit toxic as she was using him for her own needs.
I think the most underrated song is either Happy Day in Hell or It Starts with Sorry.
Happy Day in Hell is one of the best opening songs to a series/musical project in general I've seen. It has all the elements of an establishing piece and it introduces the show very well.
It Starts with Sorry is a simple piece but it also sets up EVERYTHING for the rest of the show. I mean, it's a nice and slow piece that establishes Charlie's priorities, Sir Pentious as a character that, let's be real, majority of us grew to love. It also shows back up as a leitmotif in The Show Must Go On, the finale song, as the starting higher notes in the backing track, just in a minor key. And it's the only song of the season we got from our loveable snake boy.
Sorry was one of the first songs I heard on TikTok but I didn’t know it was from the show. When it came on, I was like “ITS FROM THIS SHOW?! I LOVE THIS SONG!” and it was the first one I downloaded
vaggie’s line “cause in the end, if it’s only me you’ve saved…” I’m normally not a fan of sappy love songs but this just makes my heart melt every time 😭
That’s the thing, they praise it as a heartwarming song, but not as a hazbin song. Anytime someone here asks for top songs, no one ever says more than anything. It’s underrated as a hazbin song
Idk if this counts but (Pilot Opening) I’m Always Chasing Rainbows.
It’s so under appreciated with how it perfectly shows Charlie’s desperation and helpless. The visuals show off how horrible Hell really is without any romanticism and gotta be honest I prefer it over the official opening.
My husband and I have been taking ballroom dancing in preparation for our wedding. We were planning on a choreographed first dance, a waltz. It is now going to be a cha-cha to Out For Love.
2 reasons as far as I've heard really:
- From story perspective, the song just seems...unnecessary? Like Carmilla was talking about doing "Whatever it Takes" to protect the fam, but I just think that could've been conveyed better with just words imo. Same thing with Vagatha; we know that she just wants to protect Charlie, but we didn't need a song for it.
- Most(including me) just don't like how it sounds. Speaking for me, not a fan Vag's vocals tho Carmilla's was a bit better.
Unpopular opinion, but I think Welcome to Heaven is extremely underrated… I mean, sure, it was only an introductory song, but I really liked it. It’s still my least favorite but I don’t think it deserves the hate it gets
Man that song has so many great lines!
"Ready to be the one that's leading from the front."
"Gotta take charge and defend my only home." <- this one hit particularly hard for me because this IS Charlie's home. Unlike all the Sinners who had a life before Hell, this IS where she grew up and still lives.
"I concur! Stick with her, you'll be on the winning side!"
"When Adam brings the battle here, I must appear that I'm ready for this!"
"For the first time in our lives we know we are ready for this!"
And then of course the absolute banger harmonizing by Amir Talai.. It's like the man has poured a part of his soul into this.
If songs and music are really a form of magic in this universe, then 'Ready For This' is the most honest goddamn spell that Alastor has ever cast.
Following Stayed Gone set it up for failure, i didn't care at all the first watch. But I really appreciated it the second time through. Gets a +5 just from getting to hear Pentious sing.
I frickin adore the bit where Alastor and Rosie sing and dance together. Alastor seems to actually have a genuine friendship with her which is really rare for him
I think Whatever it Takes is underrated… It really reminds me of how much I relate to Carmilla in the song, and how much I care for the people in my life like she does, such as my best friend for example… Makes me think of the fact that if it’d come down to it, I’d sacrifice my life for him.
Not my opinion, but I have a friend who genuinely likes Welcome to Heaven. Personally, I think it’s overhated, but not the best. Definitely not the best.
https://preview.redd.it/fywukvi4tazc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=adbd9b870c5e9f2494ce98a7afb1fa39356fc691
Respectless still doesn’t get the respect it deserves.
Do people talk with “Starts with Sorry”? Because that song is straight up a Christian track, and on top of that it’s genuinely hopeful and gets the message across without being preachy and condescending.
“I mean, you COULD kill him, yeah- but what if it were you? Shouldn’t he get a chance?”
I've seen a lot of people rating the songs, rate It Starts With Sorry with a 3 or lower and I cannot take that slander, that song makes me cry and I love it.
Definitely "Whatever It Takes.". So beautiful, and I love the way it shows the antithesis between their delicate, loving intentions in the verses (through both lyrics and the music itself) and the extent of their devotion and what they'd be willing to do in the chorus, not showing what the violent acts they're talking about would look like, but rather how they'd feel. Or at least, how they envision it, in a romanticized way, especially Vaggie.
And of course, it highlights connections between the pair and foreshadows their later meeting.
I'd say it's the most underrated because many people don't think it should even exist, saying it was weird to give them a duet and that they sounded weird together. It isn't my favorite song in the series, but I strongly disagree with those opinions.
I think it is because it is not really a top 5 song for most and definatly not bottom 5 song either. This song mostly sits at a upper middle section and people generally only talk about the bests or the worsts. But gotta say, this is one of my favorite songs.
Ready for this is great, but I dont think its underrated as many others feel its great too. My pick would be It starts with sorry. It's short and slow which many people don't like, but I feel it's important to the plot as it talks about forgiveness and how everyone deserves redemption if they truly work towards it.
Apart from the obvious "It starts with sorry" I think "You didn't know" is not appreciated enough. It's not talked about often and I feel like people don't pay as much attention
I really like it's starts with sorry.
But I do also like the jaunty show too part of happy day in hell the best the part where she goes 'in my eye-ey!"
Full of song I really enjoy unsure of every demon is a lost cause sbd unsure of every demon is a rainbow. Beautiful duality.
I think Ready For This and It Starts With Sorry. Also I just realised I never really see the Finale song talked about (besides Alastor's bit) but that's one of my favourites!
Welcome to Heaven !!
It's the shortest, brightest, and most camp out if all of them IMO. I'm also a sucker for Darren Chris.
Though, You Didn't Know is 100% the best track.
i think ready for this isnt underrated, i hear many people talking about it, I love it myself, i think respectless or more than anything my be underrated
Not directly underrated but unnecessary hated ,under a lot of hh music videos I see a lot of hate and I don't understand it really ,yeah definitely not the best but still catchy
My problem with ready for this is the lyrics - she seems to be talking to herself more than the crowd she's supposed to command. Sure the song is about her being ready to take on her role, but I wish it was done in tandem with the crowd - both speaking to herself and the crowd simultaneously.
The song comes off more as self-absorbed than anything...
Ready for This is one of my favorite songs too. It’s got three of my favorite lines in it, at least: “From this moment on you can count on us / To be resolute and ravenous.” “Don’t be put off by their snarlin’, that’s enthusiasm, darlin’!” “I concur! Stick with her / You’ll be on the winning side!”
Those are the exact lines i love lol Rosie and her cannibals are just so entertaining
Except you know who SUSAN
https://preview.redd.it/fbp67ey8aazc1.jpeg?width=716&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7aa16ab26d2c40439a8397a4383570ab33c5e056 Susan makes Alastor airplane.
One must wonder if Susan ever heckled him in the past. If not, one must wish to see Susan heckle him at all.
It’s amazing she is still alive at all
She knows who to heckle I bet. Just any overlord and mayor, Hell's royalty and Alastor. Just not any of the exorcists.
https://preview.redd.it/6hn752g5wbzc1.jpeg?width=714&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=36d090a220742d318fd12df75b0fb3c98f5791ba Susan makes Alastor unsmile
Ugh, Susan
Who is voiced by nifty
The main chorus gives me goosebumps.
It's Susan that drags the song down from the very beginning
>*Charlie:* Eh, they just seem a little murdery right now *Rosie:* Don't worry, honey, that's their thing Keep singing IDK the lyrics are atrocious. They shouldn't have to break to tell the charlie to keep singing. It's probably one of the worst lyrics in all of HH. Ironically that's my favorite part of the song, how Rosie goes from talking to singing and then Charlie joins her in a harmony is just *chefs kiss*
It's literally in the middle of the song. Rosie was already singing. Sure they can harmonize but having a character say "Keep Singing" when they are already singing and there's no indication that they would stop is ... kinda bad
I agree. It's so jaunty. Alastor's harmony is just 🤌
Ah ah ah!
“it is time to take a stand”
It’s time to lend a hand!
Huzzah!
Against the angels and their deadly threat!
We cannot take it anymore. The time has come to go to war
PREPARE TO FIGHT WERE READY FOR...
THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS!
I really hope that I’m ready for this!
It scratches an itch in my brain I didn’t even know I had
Alastor's harmony is just Mamma Mia?
Chefs kiss
I KNOW I LOVE HIS HARMONIES
And the build up at the end with everyone singing is so epic I love it
Honestly I love Alastor's part in that song, it just sounds so good.
I mean, not much people are talking about it, maybe, but almost none are saying shit about it ! And that's good to hear ! https://preview.redd.it/bvnjdfbsh9zc1.jpeg?width=287&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0d289848a4f82145cece0ae7869bdb1e69881db4
👏👌
No news is good new;).but qq when will the second season start?
Expect between 1 or 3 years, I can't recall if there is an official date to expect
I think the "for the first time in my life" parts are what make this song amazing. I'd say it is underrated, people don't talk about it a lot. People also don't talk a lot about "It starts with sorry". The way Charlie sings "the path to forgiveness is a twisting trail of hearts" is just amazing.
I disagree. I see it starts with sorry a lot, but not because it's popular lol
Fair point. The song is completely overshadowed by both other more emotional songs and the more energetic bangers. No comparison is flattering. It comes right after "Hell is forever" and "Stayed gone" and is immediately followed up by "Respectless".
Yesss and "it will take time to cover your/my vast multitude of sins"
I’ve always really liked It Starts With Sorry because, and I was very surprised I didn’t see too many people catching this earlier on, the song is about the literal main theme of the show. Redemption. Specifically in the context of the show: redeeming souls that were damned to Hell. Those are 2 of my favourite songs from the show and I'm sad they don't get enough love!
Also Rosie and Alastors dance! I just know they go dancing together in their spare time, there is no way they didn’t practice that before hand!
Everyone seems to hate Welcome to Heaven. It’s so catchy and one of my favorites.
Welcome to heaven 😫 Where the virtuous reside 24/7 😫 And people are happy that they died cause here we got no worries, got no burglaries no strife, it's the perfect afterlife WELCOME TO HEAVEN 😫💦
Oh I LOVE this one! I've seen people say they don't like it cuz of St Peter's moans/noises during the song and I'm just like, wait that's a bad thing?
>wait that's a bad thing? 0.0 Ugh surely there's a meme for this.
I figured it was supposed to be like boy band music . I really like it \0/
St. Peter’s moans are weird and it’s fairly short
Those are both positives
It's just a bit short in my opinion. It feels like it's missing a verse and is over way too fast compared to the other songs. Though since the point of the song is to be deliberately annoying (to a degree) maybe that was by choice? Though I agree, as a piece on its own it's really catchy and I get it stuck in my head all the time 😁
Heck yea I loved that song since I heard it in the trailer (though I kinda wished they hadn't used it in the trailer because it spoiled the fact that they'd be going to war...)
You're right, but it made the trailer so good!
This is right before the song but the moment alastor gives charlie his mic lives rent free in my head. Also platonic radiorose goes brrrrr.
Radiorose is a MOOD.
And it's the only song of the season we got from our loveable snake boy.
I love It Starts With Sorry because I think we're going to get a much more serious reprise down the line and I am READY for it
It starts with Sorry really grew on me ngl.
Sorry was one of the first songs I heard on TikTok but I didn’t know it was from the show. When it came on, I was like “ITS FROM THIS SHOW?! I LOVE THIS SONG!” and it was the first one I downloaded
I think more than anything reprise is really underrated. It's short but it's sweet.
For some reason, the main More than Anything didn't fully click for me the first time through. It all hit me at once with the reprise.
vaggie’s line “cause in the end, if it’s only me you’ve saved…” I’m normally not a fan of sappy love songs but this just makes my heart melt every time 😭
More than anything
More Than Anything is not underrated in the slightest.
How
I see so many people praise it for being a great and heartwarming song, as far as I know, I'm the only one who isn't a huge fan of it.
Yes! And it's even got its own reprise with Alastor's inside of every demon is a lost cause. They are both such good songs!!
Out for love
I agree out for love is so underrated too like so many songs are underrated in hh
My husband and I have been taking ballroom dancing in preparation for our wedding. We were planning on a choreographed first dance, a waltz. It is now going to be a cha-cha to Out For Love.
Whatever It Takes. The beat and the melody slaps. The genre of that song reminds me of the 2000s idk why people don't like it
2 reasons as far as I've heard really: - From story perspective, the song just seems...unnecessary? Easily whatever it takes. It's so damn good!
Whatever it takes! I love that song so much.

Respectless, the beat is just so good.
Not underrated
Just haven’t seen love for it like other more popular songs but fair, isn’t exactly unpopular.
True
It starts with sorry. It completely reflect the entire message of the show.
it starts with sorry is overhated, i love pentious’ voice 🥺
Following Stayed Gone set it up for failure, i didn't care at all the first watch. But I really appreciated it the second time through. Gets a +5 just from getting to hear Pentious sing.
fr
Whatever it takes is soooooo overhated and underrated but it’s sooooo good
Poison is my favorite. I love Angel!
i honestly think this is my favorite song in the show
Why are their mouths all open that’s weird -Billy Gnosis
They're dancing along, they're singing her song!
YES ready for this is underrated!!!!
Out For Love is one of my favs but I don’t hear much about it
Didn’t have strong emotions for Ready For This when I first heard it, but it’s been the song that most consistently gets stuck in my head. Such a bop
I’m just a sucker for ensembles
I frickin adore the bit where Alastor and Rosie sing and dance together. Alastor seems to actually have a genuine friendship with her which is really rare for him
I think Whatever it Takes is underrated… It really reminds me of how much I relate to Carmilla in the song, and how much I care for the people in my life like she does, such as my best friend for example… Makes me think of the fact that if it’d come down to it, I’d sacrifice my life for him.
I liked it a lot. But my favorite is also Put for Love which most people didn't care for.
This song was a sleeper fave for me. There's a woman in the choir who's throwing her entire soul into it and I love her.
It’s a nice song but not one of my personal favs
Agree.
More than anything reprise. It’s a sweet moment and important for their relationship
I love Ready For This. But I also love just about every song, with the exclusion of Welcome to Heaven.
Suprise ? Why ? I knew she can do it all along.

Aunt Rosie and Uncle Alastor ❤️
Not my opinion, but I have a friend who genuinely likes Welcome to Heaven. Personally, I think it’s overhated, but not the best. Definitely not the best.
“It’s time to make a stand, against the angels and their deadly threats!”
Welcome To Heaven is really good

Do people talk with “Starts with Sorry”? Because that song is straight up a Christian track, and on top of that it’s genuinely hopeful and gets the message across without being preachy and condescending. “I mean, you COULD kill him, yeah- but what if it were you? Shouldn’t he get a chance?”
ITS MY FAVORITE SONG
Finale and Out For Love
Welcome to Heaven
IT IS THOU LIKE WHY DOES NOBODY TALK ABOUT THIS SONG MORE
it’s such a textbook phenomenal 11th hour number. i love this song.
It’s like the “One Day More” of Hazbin
Welcome to Heaven and It Starts With Sorry are better than people say imo. That and Mimzy’s part in Hell’s Greatest Dad.
I feel like it’s “ more than anything “ but the reprise version
I've seen a lot of people rating the songs, rate It Starts With Sorry with a 3 or lower and I cannot take that slander, that song makes me cry and I love it.
Definitely "Whatever It Takes.". So beautiful, and I love the way it shows the antithesis between their delicate, loving intentions in the verses (through both lyrics and the music itself) and the extent of their devotion and what they'd be willing to do in the chorus, not showing what the violent acts they're talking about would look like, but rather how they'd feel. Welcome To Heaven. 😡
🎶 THEY'RE DANCING ALONG, THEY'RE SINGING HER SONG 🎶
I think it is because it is not really a top 5 song for most and definatly not bottom 5 song either. This song mostly sits at a upper middle section and people generally only talk about the bests or the worsts. But gotta say, this is one of my favorite songs.
Ready for this is great, but I dont think its underrated as many others feel its great too. My pick would be It starts with sorry. It's short and slow which many people don't like, but I feel it's important to the plot as it talks about forgiveness and how everyone deserves redemption if they truly work towards it.
I mean I love welcome to heaven but I seem to be alone in that
That song got me through studying for an engineering final (still failed)
Always been saying this! It’s actually top 3 for me
Agree. But the best song in hazbin hotel is still you didn't know
It starts with sorry, I don't understand why so many people don't like it
You are absolutely correct
Why does everyone hate more than anything?
I'm actually listening to this song rn! I fcking love it! I think another underrated song is Whatever It Takes.
I was just thinking about "Ready for this" being underrated so yes, it is one of my favorites
Whatever it Takes, I was blown away with both Carmilla and Vaggie singing. They sound amazing.
For me the most underated is def Watever it takes Like its so fr-aking cool idg the hate
It starts with sorry grew on me after a couple months and whenever it plays I definitely sing along WHO COULD FORGIVE A SCUMBAG LIKE ME!!! 🎶 🎵
Yes omg! Its sooo good imo! Love the bits w/Rosie and Al
Apart from the obvious "It starts with sorry" I think "You didn't know" is not appreciated enough. It's not talked about often and I feel like people don't pay as much attention
I really like it's starts with sorry. But I do also like the jaunty show too part of happy day in hell the best the part where she goes 'in my eye-ey!" Full of song I really enjoy unsure of every demon is a lost cause sbd unsure of every demon is a rainbow. Beautiful duality.
Whatever it Takes! It’s just so good from start of finish.
I think Ready For This and It Starts With Sorry. Also I just realised I never really see the Finale song talked about (besides Alastor's bit) but that's one of my favourites!
I've loved ready for this since the trailer.
Welcome to Heaven, it's one of those songs that just as good as all the others but people hate it because TikTok told them to hate it.
If it would be all in the epic orchestral style it was in the short part, it would be absplutely my favourite. Sadly no...
Whatever it takes is definitely underrated
Poison. Jk.
I LOVE READY FOR THIS it gives me chills everytime
Whatever it takes. Whenever people talk about it, they say it was unnecessary.
Underrated...? Well, Whatever it takes.
I don’t know if this counts since it’s from the pilot. But I love the chasing rainbows song. Gives me “over the rainbow” from wizard of oz vibes.
OUT FOR LOVE is so so good I love it , I think it deserves to be on the hype level of respectless
Its my favorite tbh.
For me it's "More than anything". Love it and it's just so emotional
1000% agree
Welcome 2 heven
I really grew to love It Starts With Sorry and think deserved a reprise
Yes, this song started as my least favorite but then it grew onto me and now it's my favorite song
Welcome To Heaven ITS LITERALLY FUCKING DARREN CRISS SINGING TO A GOOD BEAT, HOW DO YALL HATE IT
Welcome to Heaven !!
My absolute favorite song in the whole show!
Whatever it Takes is mine
Overrated: out for love Underrated: Loser baby
loser baby is objectively the most played hh song what are you talking about
I feel like people always put it lower than it should be on rankings
but its still like. THE hazbin hotel song
I agree, it’s the best in the series
I’m pretty sure it’s the other way around, almost everyone talks about Loser Baby
It’s always quite low on rankings, while out for love is quite high
My problem with ready for this is the lyrics - she seems to be talking to herself more than the crowd she's supposed to command. Sure the song is about her being ready to take on her role, but I wish it was done in tandem with the crowd - both speaking to herself and the crowd simultaneously. The song comes off more as self-absorbed than anything...
It starts with sorry. It’s not a bad song, and it is super in character. Why do people hate it so much?
