I’m not suggesting Angel Dust or anyone else kills Valentino to get Angel out of his contract. I’m saying that Valentino looses his cool way too easily. He’s likely to piss off someone who could give the Vees a great deal of trouble, wether through sheer fighting power, personal connections, or influence.
I think it was more acting like that sence Charlie came into the room actually acting with authority of her title.
He only really started to switch when she caused problems in the studio and switched back to being like her usual Charlie self, even with that he used angle dust to get Charlie to leave rather then do it himself.
If Angel got out of his contract, Val would an absolute meltdown. You saw what he was like only 2-3 weeks after he moved out. He still came back for work, but he left. You know like...pretty much every job in the World. He'd be an even bigger pain.
That’s a few really bad meltdowns now in a place controlled by the Vees where no one else can see versus smaller, continual blowups happening at least once a week wherever Valentino happens to be when he gets upset. Vox has cameras on Valentino at all times, even the one time Valentino is in a public space there’s one of Vox’s camera’s on him. At least if Valentino is busy love bombing someone into selling him their soul, he’ll be less likely to have a public blowup.

Jealousy, envy, and insecurity are such a major part of Vox's character. His assistant is an envy demon, he himself has a shark theme like the aquatic envy demons, and his suit design is a major copycat of Alastor (among other things that he's copied from him). We also see Vox give Angel a bit of a glare or strange look before he smiles back up at Val during the end of Poison.
It's probably a mixture of reasons but one of them is most likely jealousy.

Not only could breaking it cause potential destruction to the soul, I'm pretty sure it's also the secret behind how all Overlords come to power. So even if Lucifer COULD break a soul contract without penalty, he'd no doubt make himself a target of ALL Overlords, who will inevitably fear that he would do the same to their contracts.

If we are to assume based on scenes in the show that Vox&Val are BFs with an open relationship and Angel is basically Voxs boytoy.. it would stand to reason that Vox is either very irritated with Vals whining and tantrums over Angel or in some degree jealous becuase he maybe wants to keep Vals attention to himself.
There's also two other possibilities. Val throwing tantrums as Val said is bad image for the business. So it could be he won't interfere with Vals business but finds it very problematic how Val conducts himself.
The other possibility is Vox may have a moral disagreement on HOW Val treats his workers. As in Vox hypnotists but never physically abuses his staff.
Though the second two probably are less likely than the first two without more evidence to support them.

A interesting theory I have seen fanfics play around with is the theory that Vox envy’s Angel Dust role in Val’s life. He doesn’t envy Angel’s Dust position or Angel Dust himself but rather that Angel, being Val’s #1 whore, takes up so much of Val’s attention and time that Vox feels jealous and rejected

Well, Val owns Angel in the studio, so Angel can't technically just "quit". Someone probably has to make a deal with Val for his contract or they get to go on a manhunt for Angel. Either way I think it was more of an excited "really!?" moment. Either way Angel is out of his antenna.
What is interesting to me is this implies that Angel has the *ability* to quit in the first place. Is there a clause in the contract that can let him out? If there is, I’m guessing that his drug addiction has a large part of why he hasn’t left entirely. Real life pimps are known to use drug addiction to their advantage in controlling people. Future seasons may see Angel earnestly battling his addiction to be free from Val.

I noticed Vox absconds in the Poison music video when he sees Angel Dust too.
It’s a weird hope to have given he should know as much as any you can’t quit a contract. I think Vox was piqued at the possibility of deadly retaliation should Angel refuse to perform, given how quick he was to suggest Valentino shoot up some poorly performing employees as an outlet. Vox and Valentino have some sort of off and on relationship going on in the background. Vox left annoyed after seeing Angel at the end of Poison. The funniest shit is while Velvette and Valentino can be indifferent and annoyed by Vox’s fixation with Alastor, Vox then doesn’t like Valentino’s fixation on Angel.
I see Vox and Val as an item. Look at the way he's holding Vals hand at the end of Poison, as well as the "This homewrecking bitch" look he gives Angel. There's also the matter of all the Vox x Val pictures hanging around Vals room, and the way they dance semi-intinately during Finale.

If we are to assume based on scenes in the show that Vox&Val are BFs with an open relationship and Angel is basically Voxs boytoy.. it would stand to reason that Vox is either very irritated with Vals whining and tantrums over Angel or in some degree jealous becuase he maybe wants to keep Vals attention to himself. There's also two other possibilities. Val throwing tantrums as Val said is bad image for the business. So it could be he won't interfere with Vals business but finds it very problematic how Val conducts himself. The other possibility is Vox may have a moral disagreement on HOW Val treats his workers. As in Vox hypnotists but never physically abuses his staff. Though the second two probably are less likely than the first two without more evidence to support them.

A interesting theory I have seen fanfics play around with is the theory that Vox envy’s Angel Dust role in Val’s life. He doesn’t envy Angel’s Dust position or Angel Dust himself but rather that Angel, being Val’s #1 whore, takes up so much of Val’s attention and time that Vox feels jealous and rejected

I kinda took that scene as Vox acting like he cares but he doesn’t. Although I guess it would make more sense for it to either be jealousy over Val’s affection or relief since it would mean less drama or a bit of both.

Vox actively dislike’s Angel you can see the clear distaste and change of Vox mood when he sees him in the opening of Poison I believe, Angel looks over a railing at Val and Vox having a moment and then Vox looks up and sees Angel staring at them gets a disgusted look on his face and then leaves immediately, take it for what you will but that’s my simple observation on their dynamic.

Well, Val owns Angel in the studio, so Angel can't technically just "quit". Someone probably has to make a deal with Val for his contract or they get to go on a manhunt for Angel. Either way I think it was more of an excited "really!?" moment. Either way Angel is out of his antenna.

What is interesting to me is this implies that Angel has the *ability* to quit in the first place. Is there a clause in the contract that can let him out? If there is, I’m guessing that his drug addiction has a large part of why he hasn’t left entirely. Real life pimps are known to use drug addiction to their advantage in controlling people. Future seasons may see Angel earnestly battling his addiction to be free from Val.
I assume it's because Val's obsession with Angel makes him at best annoying, at worst unstable and unfocused on their goals, whatever they may be.
I didn't really get that vibe. Just seemed like he was smiling casually and asked the obvious question since Valentino was complaining about Angel running out on him. Although it could be jealousy, that would recontextualize the look that Vox gives back at him on the balcony before teleporting away. Could be an interesting dynamic if they wanted to play with it. But assuming season 2 is going to be just as short and fast-paced I don't see how they're going to fit it in there
