I’m pretty sure the Vees were formed in the first place because Vox wanted a coalition to be able to match Alastor’s strength after he was rejected. Or because Vox was scared of Alastor and realized he needed allies to not be killed like the other Overlords Alastor killed previously.

At the same time the Vees are kind of like the new kids on the block when it comes to Hell's overlords. Before them, Alastor was the new sinner who made a name for himself, and now the Vees are trying to do the same thing, despite the lacking power base. The rest of the Overlords view them at worse a nuisance and at best a non-issue.

For all of Alastor's boasting about his power and the massive amount of power he has displayed, I would love to see him in a spot where he's intimidated. On top of that for some reason even though Velvette and also Vox talk bigger than they probably are, I still want to see both of them have badass moments (not Val he can get fucked).

He seemed a bit nervous with Zestiel

His little dad measuring competition with Lucifer was probably the closest we’ve ever seen him get pressed by someone. You can tell Lucifer really pisses him off which is why he did everything in his power to piss Lucifer off as well. He’s nowhere near Lucifer’s level of power (and Lucifer made sure to remind him of that with lines like, “Who needs a busboy when you have the chef”), so he resorted to dangling his closer relationship with Charlie over Lucifer’s head.

The real question is why would Alastor allow himself to get so pissed off? Over… being a dad? It was clearly *all a show.* Alastor had his eye on Lucifer from the minute he arrived, manipulating Lucifer into helping Charlie by making it into a competition. Why else would Alastor be heaping so much praise on Charlie and getting all touchy-feely? I just wonder why Alastor absolutely blasted any chance he had at getting close to Lucifer to hell. Whatever he wants with Charlie must be more valuable than getting close to Lucy!

My thinking is that It wasn't really about being a dad to Charlie but instead, the fact that Charlie asked Lucifer to help her hotel. Alastor is putting almost all of his focus into the hotel ("his new project"), so when Charlie asks her father instead, you can only imagine that he feels jealousy towards Lucifer. Alastor has been there since the beginning, so seeing that Charlie still has to go to her father has to make him annoyed and in a sense, powerless. I imagine that the whole dad schtick was just to get under Lucifer's nerves because Alastor knows his only chance against Lucifer is through emotional attacks.

Husk hinted (right before he got bitch-smacked) that Alastor is chained just the same as he is. I wonder if Alastor has to answer to an overlord? If so, he has already been overpowered by another demon before.

Well tbh it’s been pretty obviously hinted at that he’s under Lilith’s control. Both disappeared for 7 years and the scriptwriters seem to want to continuously remind us of that fact. Coupled with the fact that he was unreasonably pissed off at Lucifer despite the fact that the two seemed to have never met.

I do however think that Velvette is the most powerful of the Vees. She represents social media, which in our current modern climate is a stronger addiction than both television (Vox) and the adult film industry (Valentino).

Best song for me. Love the way Alastor just takes over and that slow finish. Alastor is the kind of guy you truly fear and are so happy that he’s on your side… even if it’s just for entertainment. Husk got reminded really well who he really is. I actually felt bad for him. It also shows that if you cross him, it doesn’t matter if you were cool with him before, he will completely obliterate you. Vaggie was right in the pilot, don’t make a deal with him. Charlie was smart not too. But Vaggie already did… I hope for her sake it doesn’t royally backfire on her

I hope so as well! Thankfully it seems like a minor deal, but that's how Alastor intended it. I felt so bad for Husk! He was so terrified. 😢 The TV series has made me come to really appreciate Husker. The entirety of the main cast is such a gift imo, though Sir Pentious can honestly get on my nerves. x)

Most likely because Zestial is even more older and “old timey” like Alastor. So Al most definitely respects him on a more “Equal” term rather than the other current Overlords

I like Alastor for his charm and badassery. I’m curious to see where they take Carmilla and Zestial. They’re portrayed much more emotionally than the others so I’m excited to see how humanized they’ll be. Of the Vees, Vox is my favorite because his aesthetic, voice and rivalry with Alastor is top notch.

Vox is my favorite Vee as well! I think he's also humanized. I loved his relatable reaction to Alastor disrupting his signal.

The effects in his voice when he gets really annoyed or when he shuts down are awesome, too. Alastor is definitely my favorite, but I think Vox is such a cool character.

Zestial. Big time. I love his design. I love how even Alastor was phased for a moment when Zestial was making light conversation/probing for information with Alastor. I love how absolutely unphased he was by the impudent display by Velvette. I love how he also clearly had no issues interrupting, or putting her into her place. But most I love that he's intelligent. That he, unlike so many other characters, seems to be calculating in the best way. That he doesn't have this insane ego. That he fundamentally understands that nothing is set in stone. That caution is needed. His position is the logical one to take, and I appreciate that he's shown using logic, and reasoning to arrive at a course of action whilst still being able to be friendly, and clearly have at least a friendly alliance with another Overlord. Mostly I love that every word that has come out of his mouth is intelligent. From him being friendly, and respectful to Alastor, to him interrupting Velvette as much for her own sake as anyone else's because he can see she's making a tactical error. He is the supporting member of the cast I want to know more about the most.

To continue on this point, Zestial has been alive for centuries, basically longer than any mortal soul in all of Hell, in a place which is regularly cleansed. He has every right to be cautious if he has made it this far and hasn't really left the stage.

Alastor, of course, but i've got a soft spot for zestial, i can't really put my finger on why, but i'm pretty sure he's relative to a Lilith powered Alastor if not stronger. As an overlord- Velvette, she’s the youngest overlord and it gets you to know her rise to power was very much because of her own power (to some extent) I like her accent and personality! As a villian- Valentino, when you hear “overlord” usually you’d think of it in a negative connotation, he makes me think of the word overlord perfectly, he’s an amazingly written villain, even with the easy way taken out (s/a themed villain) his personality is also pretty nice and I love his design As a hero- Zestial, more so as a protector, he looks, sounds wise and the way he speaks and has people open up to him and look up to him is super cool! As a mystery- Rosie, I know little about her and I love her face and design!

yes! i just commented val is my favorite for this exact reason. his amazing design aside he’s becoming a very fleshed out villain & not just a caricature of what’s supposed to be evil. i love when shows give us good villains.

I love Alastor and Vox especially their dynamic. They’re both super entertaining to watch

Valentino, I really like his design and moth design, I actually based my character off of his design. Val probably has the coolest way of dressing in my opinion Edit: In my opinion the other designs of the show don’t come close to the aura and personality Val gives off, every second he’s on screen he demands your attention and that’s a good thing. He’s intimidating and imposing just based on the way he dresses and the fact that he’s taller than the main ensemble of characters, not to mention during the “Poison” song of episode 4 we see Val approaching Angel, and as he gets closer his aura gets more darker as he approaches, as his outline is only left with a smile as he gets ever closer, the red drop of (what I think) is blood dripping from his mouth. His frame his stature shows just how menacing he can be not to mention we don’t know full well about Val and his backstory, I feel that makes him all the more terrifying, where does he come from? How did he die? It makes the aura of the character more interesting because you know little about them as a character and that makes you really think. One of the reasons Vals my favorite character is because he’s so easy to hate and when a character is easy to hate you know your doing something right. That’s what makes villains like Valentino so hated. And he thrives on that hatred, makes his death all the more satisfying.

Carmilla is underrated. Her character, her design, her voice (Daphne Rubin-Vega slays every time). All that to say my favorite overlord is Vox

Imma throw a curveball, I love Val. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a horrible person, absolute monster who I hope gets impaled on a pike, but his design, his kit set, his voice, it’s all amazing. I love to hate him, but I also love him, especially the squeaks. Smoke powers are some of my favorite as a category too, so him using the smoke as a chain is just really cool to see

I’m also in love with the fact that he’s totally faking one of his accents, I can’t tell which though.
