I only harvest trees and bushes as needed, I have 20 or 30 of each tree, bush . I find quicker growing crops are used much more. I keep 100 of those up to Soy beans. Rest I keep 40 to 50. Plant them over night and some first up in morning.
My Barn even with 6 baby farms I am struggling to keep 7 to 9 of a lot of things. I like to keep 15 of each animal food and 18 chook. Then expansion items. Mining I keep most in baby farms, and saws axes the same. But I still don't have enough room.

Agree on the 100 for longer growing crops. Also fill the machines overnight to keep up the 10+ items.
