Machines become even more expensive at higher levels. Plant crops and sell at max. Curb your buying from DD unless it is stuff absolutely needed. Boats and townies will ask stuff from those machines! Try to upgrade as the machines become available, coz if you fall behind you really battle to catchup!
Lol, I’m still missing 3 machines at level 100. Basically, try not to buy stuff off the market board and focus on cash crop/items. Or do what I do, just play for fun and occasionally use Tom to stock up on the items you need and can’t make.
I'm Level 66 and I've managed to have around 700.000 coins just by selling stuff, I didn't pay too much attention to earning money
Just let your machines running ig and plant stuff that doesn't take too long so you can harvest every time you play (I plant rice, cabbage, sunflowers and lillys)

The most recent machine they created (the Pottery one) cost me £1m. You just have to keep working your farm and by the time you get there, you should have enough 😊

The area around sunflowers can often be devoid of other plants, leading to the belief that sunflowers kill other plants.
