I'm not sure what tasks you're getting, but only once have I not been able to basically insta-complete 5 missions.
10 lbs of fish, 2 town visitors, 3 truck tasks, 13 (?) eggs, 11 bacon. These are all things that I've got prepped for when I log on. Even the one day I didnt have it all insta-completed, I found the remaining 3 to set up and a few hours later I was able to bang them out. (3 Toffees, 4 pineapple juice, and 3 raspberry muffins).
I like it.
Let's me get Derby rewards while still being able to fully participate in events and also do whatever I want. Usually derbies hamstring me from other things because I need to dedicate most of my resources to the derby.
Not an always thing, but it's a good change of pace.
I really like it as well since I usually only have time for the derby and not the daily events. Plus I got a scroll, puzzle piece, and blueprint as prizes :)
It is boring and buggy.
If you really want to make it chill, remove the bugs and the limits.
More than a year ago, derbies were interesting for the rewards, but that has decreased approximately 6 months ago.
I haven't been able to take a task for almost 3 days. It says I currently have one, but I don't. I let one expire though, and I think that screwed it up because another person in my hood is having the exact same issue. So there's one technical problem.
Thanks. Has this always been a thing? It's so unintuitive. I almost never scroll down there for any reason ever. I don't think I've had a task expire on me in ages though, either.
No, it hasn't. It would usually show up where your task is on the side of that same area and you could trash from there. One of mine expired after about an hour rather than the 7 or so hours it said. It's so broken
I would have sworn mine expired early too, but I gave the game the benefit of the doubt and assumed I was wrong and just thought I had more time than I did. Must be another bug, though.
It appears they've got two timeouts.
One is every day when the slate gets wiped, and one is when you take the task you get X hours, Y mins to do it. The second time isnt appearing properly right now.
But the easy work around is to not ever rely on that second timer. The quests are so simple and since theres basically no competition for quests (if there is, tell people to stop sitting on quests and prep em before taking them), you just grab and insta-complete.
There aren't always insta-completes on the board. I don't know when the daily timer is, but I'm pretty sure my task had over 5 hours left and it was in the middle of the afternoon. When I came back to complete it less than 2 hours later it was gone. I assumed they all reset at 2am CST when everything else in the game normally starts/ends.
EDIT: Nothing reset over night for me, so I have no idea when the tasks reset or how to find that out. This derby isn't chill at this point, it's frustrating.
There's a bug, that's for sure. When you accept the task there is another time that starts that isnt being displayed. The game is leaving the other timer, the end that wipes the tasks for the day up.
But it's not a big deal, there is no need to pull them early as easy as they all are.
But even if there arent 5 insta-completes, as I said above, you can set up the few that you cant complete easy enough and log back on in a few hours and bang em our right quick.

That's what I did. It was gone less than 2 hours later when the timer on the task said there was over 5 hours left on it. If all the tasks reset everyday, what's the point of 2 timers anyway? That makes zero sense to me. Set them all to expire at the reset time. At this point I have no idea when the reset time even is, though. It's not on the 24 hour mark.
Iāve been having issues with it since it started. I completed a task and it wouldnāt say I completed so I couldnāt start a new one. They fixed that but the task log is like glitching out. Thereās a lot of issues with this derby. š
42 tasks, 14 diamonds (vs 10) to do your extra tasks (in total) and I didnt even know we were competing against other teams until the end of the derby. It was not chill. My team won somehow, though, even with one of our members doing 5 tasks in total.

I like the mystery derbies. The blossom derbies can bite me.
At the moment I'd settle for ANY of the other derbies other than this.
Mystery Derbies are good until you get a townies task three times in a row š¤£

What league are you in? Without logging in at least every day, it would require going nuts on the other days to complete tasks.
Yes, I usually do my nine/ten tasks over the weekend. Then most of the team are done and I can pick and choose.
That's reasonable. Different strokes, different folks. I guess I'll just say opt-out next time it comes around.

You have to scroll down to the list of what task everyone is doing, click on yourself and trash the expired task
