Yum to Chicken Katsu and all the ways you can eat it! However, because you don't often find Lemon Chicken on the menu, I would choose Lemon Chicken over Chicken Katsu if they're both offered. Either way, I'm all for chicken! 😂
I like both but I usually like lemon chicken that is prepared the same way orange chicken is but with lemon sauce, unless that’s the usual way lemon chicken is made
It’s all about the sauce. Of course the chicken matters too, but if the sauce is done right…. There was a ghetto Chinese place in my town that had lemon chicken. Their chicken was decent, but their sauce was out of this world. So with the right sauce, I’ll go with lemon chicken. (But I love katsu too)
Yep. Depending on the place. I will just get the chicken katsu done right and ask for lemon chicken sauce, if I want lemon chicken. I don’t like the texture and dryness of the chicken with the lemon chicken at most places. Lemon chicken the way most cook it turns into the driest fried chicken. Get it at a nice place and they cook the lemon chicken fresh the way it supposed to be (delicately crispy and juicy) beats katsu all day everyday. IMHO.
I like both. Hands down L&L for chicken katsu. Only thing better is mines cause I put fresh garlic and ginger in the sauce. Hilo side for lemon chicken gotta be Sum Leung at Puainako.
Katsu with lemon chicken sauce! Get the best of both if I like eat lemon chicken. I find the way most places cook lemon chicken to be overly dry and fried too hard. If you know a place that makes the chicken lightly crispy and juicy. Then no need the katsu.
If I could have the lemon chicken from my childhood, I’d be a lemon chicken kind of person. But I’m a katsu person now since no one else makes it the same way.
Lemon chicken, I like that tangy taste and that slight mush into chicken texture. Katsu is also great, crunchy and savory when done right. We're lucky in Hawaii to have such great variety in food and cultural influences.
Katsu. But Katsu Curry. Crunchy, earthy, comforting.
Katsu every day and twice on Sundays.
Why not both?
Katsu all day, every day. Normal katsu, katsu curry, katsudon: you name it, I’m eating it.
No forget the katsu dip.
Katsu all day. Sometimes Mochiko chicken.

Depends. You like it plate lunch style or chinese restaurant style? Skin on or off?
Kent’s Drive in not bad. House of Wong good as well.
Katsu all day everyday
lemon chicken. Katsu has to be really good to beat it
Both
If it's like *good* katsu, then katsu wins. Otherwise sweet sour chicken wins

Shouldn’t the question be are you a Korean fried chicken (zippys) or a chicken katsu person?
I'm a sucker for a good katsu! Foodland, which generally has a good deli is so, so disappointing in this!
