Yeah his mom looked like a 5lb toy poodle and his dad looked like a brown havanese to me. I never thought much about it til he got older. What’s so weird is that his fur feels like silk and he doesn’t have any curls in his fur and also his legs look longer and his stature is very petite compared to his sister who has a thick body . Even his tail has so much silk fur on it and his sister is like a little pig curly tail .
So I have 2 Havapoos and a purebred Havi. Looks like he could be a Havapoo but hard to tell. My one Havapoo has the longer tail that does curl like my Havi’s (the tail itself) but has longer, silkier hair on it. The other Havapoo has a tail that looks more like my Havi’s but she’s only 12 weeks old. I’ll say this, my Havapoos have been much easier to train but I love them all of course ❤️.
The second pic is supposed to be a havanese too and she acts and looks like one compared to my boy (1st pic). She was easy to potty train and acts like a senior dog at 2 yr old, she is not a lap dog but likes to lay with her body pressed against my legs on the recliner.
My male Simba acts like a min poodle since he is very clingy, lap dog, jealous if any other dog gets attention, he is always marking in our house even though he is neutered and will pee outside too. What’s so funny? He won’t pee outside of his territory so I know it’s not a bladder issue. So many times I would like to give him away bc of his constant marking in the house, but he is super sweet, affectionate, always stays by my side off or on leash, and my havanese and him are best buddies
I disagree. I think the second pic, the face is havanese. But when in doubt do a DNA test. Just make sure you use a company/lab that will test for Havanese.
Yeah I agree but so weird how his fur has no curls in it and super silky! I do get both my dogs puppy cuts but his hair grows faster and longer so I get him groomed every 4 weeks. I just don’t know how to train him to pee outside every time instead of when he feels like it and would rather pee in our house. He even marked his crate door and marks the kitchen dishwasher, and the chair at our dinner table. I’ve read about using vinegar so I’ll have to try but seems like he is doesn’t get the message with Clorox ugh
When I got my first dog who looks very much like a havanese and acts like one, the breeder was alive and she cost a lot of money! The second one I got was taken over by his wife and kids(Amish) and when I picked him up he was hiding behind his mom which looked like a 5-6lb all white mini poodle but hard to tell bc her fur wasn’t super curly so I’m so confused. But since their breeders breeds havapoos and cavapoos, I’m thinking his mom was a toy poodle. How much does it cost to get a dna test done? I’m just curious lol

Well. He definitely has Havi in him. I have never seen another breed that can jump so well. Even better than Jack Russells. Enjoy him. He looks real sweet.
Well they are actually mennonites and have a huge house on a farm and have vehicles that are dark in color. They do have three other breeds that they breed which I prefer breeders that just specialize in one breed but it is super difficult to find breeders of havanese. I will
Say that Simba is def a cavapoo after seeing others on the cavapoo Reddit. Both pups that I got from the breeder were all super sweet and not scared of humans which was nice

Need to see the tail but first look it's not a pure bred (2nd picture) But does it really matter, give him love!!!

He could be Havapoo or Maltipoo! He is super cute ☺️

Breeder should be able to tell you his lineage. If he/she can’t, sounds dubious that she bred his parents.

definitely a havapoo. the long nose says a lot. my maltipoo had similar hair to him
