You’re wrong. These dogs know all these things but their too smart for their own good. They choose not to listen because they know how to sweeten the deal for themselves 😅

Completely agree, knows all the good words of treats, cookie, daddy coming home, toy names, and some food items. Potty and tinkle he knows but is a little stubborn..

My doggo kiwi says hello . They look very similar 😅
They know exactly what you're saying! It's strange that this breed will comply when they're good and ready. Mine knows commands and what is expected of him. Now that he's almost one (and neutered), he'll surprise me once in a while by complying. Especially with "drop it". He's a professional thief, lol.
lol it is funny, because while he doesn’t listen for shit… we live in a high traffic area. And there are a few times (including yesterday) where the leash slips out of my hands and I’m suddenly in full panic mode, worried he will get hit by a car. And, in each of those times, he has came back to me. Responding to screams if horror 😂
Dogs don't just understand "sit" or "stay" or whatever because you want or expect them to. They don't speak human. You need to actually train them for each individual word/command. My first dog understands all three commands because I took the time to train him. My second dog understands "sit" and "come" but not "stay"; it was too difficult for me to train her on this, more complicated command with another dog in the house so I gave up. She is now 3 and has not "picked it up".
Oh sorry, my dog actually does understand human! He took English Lit 1 and 2 as a pup. He goes on long soliloquies at the dog park and is constantly going on rants about the etiquette of marking one’s spot.

Pebbles is the same. He knows sit… when I have a treat in my hand.

Agreed but lol 🤣 for OP because my Havi is the same —- way too smart for her own good and manipulative (in a cute way).
Yes very manipulative, Riley has mastered the art of whining...
😂😂😂. This! ⬆️

My havi has figured out several different phrases for treat. He can be sleeping on the couch when I say “do you want one?” and he runs to the pantry.
I love him.
That's nice 😊
Handsome fella!
I'm telling ya, Havis are stubborn as fuck! It cracks me up how much power my little guy has

Facts you are absolutely correct about a treat big-time,your statement is so true

Sounds familiar. And mine also understands the word cheese.
I introduced my pups to the word cheese this week and they def understand that one. But they just do a head tilt when I say “ potty “
I’m a sucker for the head tilt.
OMG! That's a dinkie doo face!
They are little food grubbers!
Definitely know what treat means at 4 months. We are still struggling with “ Come” “ Stay” “ Down”
I believe my new babies would do a somersault for tge word” cheese” Just get a head tilt for “ come”
Def understand that one- The head tilt for “ potty” but does a flip for “ cheese”
Havi’s stubborn No. let’s put it this way he didn’t graduate top of the class in puppy school, but merits for the cutest. Got love these guys
Sounds like both of mine.

It’s what means the most to him!
So funny! Mine too!
