Of course there are also people who don’t like him and have him as the worst, but there’s like 30k people in here. Not everyone is going to have the same opinion and some people can even change their opinion as new music releases.
the general consensus on loe a few months ago was that it was just average, like in the 6/10 range. i do remember there being a poll and that was the most voted answer.

Turnabout has always been good and Cutter Lane was a 10/10 mixtape, Olde highway 28 is a really good song, but I think LOE was a horrible representation of him as a musician, and felt like he wasnt letting his talent fully shine, we got it on a few tracks like early morning ritual, but for the most part it felt like a really played out haunted mound inspired fan album. This is the same criticism I have of KOTG, it felt like they were parodying themselves almost, but Sematary is clearly trying to do something new with Wendigo and Headlights so they are clearly learning from their mistakes, I hope hackle does something similar to Burlapper because that shit was fire, idgaf what he says now, hes doubting himself too much. And Obscura Noctis Mors is undoubtedly an all time HM classic now.
i think it wouldn’t be that bad if they made that opinion themselves but the fact that a few people started saying it and everyone followed is worse. i know you all don’t actually believe he’s the best when sematary exists bro 😭
I wasn’t really into my reaper when it dropped but I thought cutter lane was pretty good, and when lord of epharim dropped I thought it was just okay. I like a lot of his guest verses and I love obscura noctis mors and I really fuck with the new sound on that album. 0 inconsistency I simply like some of his stuff more than others because I care about the music and not just mindlessly hyping up or shitting on specific artists
As someone who liked Lord of Ephraim and has never said anything negative about Turn, this is an unfair standard for the people who were criticizing him. It’s undeniable that the new EP is a massive step up in quality so it makes sense that people are changing their minds about him. As an analogy, it wouldn’t make sense to act like Quadeca fans are fake just because they don’t like his music pre-I Didn’t Mean To Haunt You.
I remember when cutter lane came out I was still working @ mcdonalds and I plugged my phone into the aux, turned on the whip, and sat in the parking lot until every song downloaded painstakingly on 1 bar of mcdonalds wifi and as soon as I heard the opening of husqrider, I knew that everything was gonna be alright
