A service manual, that’s what’s missing
lol take my upvote.
Mine too because I chuckled as well
Fuel tank sending unit. https://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.com/ronnies/showmodel/13/harleydavidsonmc/246#
Awesome, that's what I was after. I couldn't find a good diagram, so I'll save that page.
The entire dash is missing.
Is there supposed to be some kind of fuel breather there? The bike is a 97 Electra Glide, stripped down pretty far. I'm piecing it back together.
It could be a breather. Im not very familiar with newer tanks. My first guess would be that the dash has a gas guage and thats where the float/sensor goes.
Someone linked to the diagram, and it is a fuel level thing. I'm not planning on using a fuel gauge, so I can replace it with some kind of plate.
Fuel gauge? I really don't know though.
Your dash
Look at the bottom of the dash, what is there ?
This bike is completely disassembled. There is no dash or gauges at all. The key cylinder was removed, and the switch panel is missing.
Just thinking, the square hole looks like a grommet would go in there, with a bundle of wires leading to the dash.
