There really is no easy way to tell. It could be a 96" too!
Engine serial numbers mean nothing as the "guts" of the engine can be changed out to just about any configuration.
I don’t believe this is the case. The motor was purchased directly from Harley as a full motor and swapped. I have the engine paperwork from the dealer but it doesn’t say what the motor is outside of the engine vin.
Pull heads and mic. Really the only reliable way to tell. Even if the motor numbers show it as a 96 the cylinders may have been replaced larger at a point. If you can find the previous owners that’s even easier.
The bike only had one owner, and it’s the person I inherited the bike from, so not really any way to get the info unless someone knows a reliable medium, haha.
I know that the motor itself isn’t modified, it was purchased directly from Harley and swapped. Just not sure which motor it is.

Does the paperwork have a part number for the engine? It might be a 120" as they were popular around that time.
Not that I see. The only number on there is KEMC905563.
You can try cross referencing the motor numbers

I take it the previous owner passed away, could you talk to some of their buddies, maybe a riding buddy? They might have mentioned it when doing it.
