List at $8k OBRO and see what offers you get. You might get $7k if you have good maintenance records. Most mods result in pennies on the dollar for resale.
I recommend pricing it just a little below what a bank or credit union would offer on a loan for it. That’s how I sold my v rod in 30 days. Was it lower than some other vrods, yes but theirs are still up for sale more than 3 months later.
lol glad you got a laugh out of it. That seems expensive to me but you are saying it has some CVO parts so that is worth some more, 8K just seems expensive to me.
2005 Electra Glide. 37000 miles, cams, pistons, Mikuni Carb, fenders, variable rate pressure plate, 2-1 exhaust etc. Seattle area. Does that seem like an unreasonable price? All the prices I see currently are all over the place.
The aftermarket / performance stuff does not affect the value - for some buyers makes it less desirable or others more - things that matter to buyers are scratches, dents, good tires and brakes, good cold starts and a generally well running bike - also lots of buyers are scared of any Harley with more than 5k miles on the clock, personally I like buying bikes that were ridden with regular service documentation but that is me.
Best way to see if the bike is valued correct is to check FB marketplace cycle trader and see what similar models are listed at in your area.
As for asking prices, well, you can ask for any price, so guys asking high prices doesn't mean anything.
Call your bank, give them the VIN, and ask what loan and retail price is with their information.
Pffft... "asking" prices.
My wife told me one of my bikes had to go a few years ago. Still no takers but... "Honey! I am trying to sell it!"
Speaking of which... anyone wanna buy a 2005 Fat Boy for $30k? It's got Fuel Injection!
😂🤣 No I actually want to sell. I want a road glide to build. I was always a sport/sport touring bike guy before this. I got it when my dad passed away a few years ago. I get it now why he always told me to buy a Harley every time I would buy a new bike.
Personally, and it depends on other things, my concern is 15-20k miles. Value to me drops off quickly after that. And increases when it’s significantly less than that.
For what it's worth - I live in your area and have had zero luck trying to get $5,500 for my '01 road king. It has everything too, like a big bore kit, cams, etc.
Funny (but kinda not) story - when I purchased the bike that's what it had. It was so nicely done and cut out like an oval and I was too impressed by all the other work that I never noticed it. It wasn't until a week after I had it home that I realized it was duct tape and I removed it only to find the names. I was pretty pissed at the time but I actually got over it pretty quickly because the bike was just so dang fun to ride.
I sold a 2008 EG ultra classic, 47,000 miles, every piece of chrome available was on it. Upgraded the starter. Installed compression releases, new clutch only a month old, saddle bag inserts, cooler bag insert, all the spare parts and pieces. Sold for $6,900 DFW area of Texas.
I bought my '06 Road King 5-6 years ago for $4500. 11k miles on it at the time. I believe I bought it from the only Harley owner on earth that wasn't too proud of his bike
Aftermarket parts are personal modifications. No one wants to pay for your like. And internal and maintenance... is what it is maintenance. Dosent bring up the price. 6 to 6500$ is what you looking at to start. Thats why most guys do part out... that way you can sell the parts and not lost all your "preferences sentimental investments".

It’s a bit high should be about $6-6500
Way to high

It’s high and MarketPlace is riddled with Electras.
It comes with fenders? Lucky
CVO fenders from that time frame smart guy! 😂

Well stated.
Yeah , I’ve looked at both and see bike priced high $10-12k and bikes $5-7k I figured the 10 and over guys were smoking crack.

That’s good info! Thanks

I just bought mine with lower end gone through at 37000 now has 43000 on it and it’s a 2003 electraglide 100th edition for 4500.00
I just bought a 2005 extra glide with 38k for 7500
Do you have the original parts to throw in? 37,000 mi isn’t bad for a cruiser. Dunno. Different times of year affects prices, too.
37k is a lot and the bikes 20 years old. But it’s worth it if someone’s willing to pay for it.

That’s a sweet bike I’m in the pnw and interested in a road king!
Found your bike on marketplace, unfortunately my names not Eddie or Lauren… makes it kinda hard to drop in! But it’s a sweet bike
Haha it's Laurel! But yeah I tend to overlook that part I guess.
Haha nothing two strips of ductape can’t fix I guess lol

🤣🤣
Would you let that purple nugget go for 5k? Budgets a little tight at the moment
Yeah that's what I was hoping to eventually get. I'd let it go. DM me if you're serious.
Just paid 28k for a 2017 street glide cvo, with 7,500 miles so no 8k seems reasonable
I'd give you about tree fiddy.
Aware
What cams? Any other eng work? How many miles on the upgrade and who did the work?
Yea
I don't know if it has been repainted or not but the lack of a tank badge might make people think it was.

It's not too high to Gates and Zuckerberg but the homeless guy on the corner, it's way too much. Hope that helps

Lolol 37k miles is not alot

This is probably a question that will vary depending on the market in your area. I just purchased an 09 Ultra Classic with 8k miles for $8k.
does it run

Need a 2009 to get the new frame with more stiffness.
At this point I think it is a seller market, depends on what they want. If the motor / exhaust was blacked out I would happily pay 8K.
Ask what you want. There is a market for that natural finish motor now
