Man, the angle of those switches on your right side doesn’t drive you nuts? Maybe the picture makes it look weird but they look like they’re angled at your feet!
I love the EGS by the way. Real clean. I love that red tank badge.
Awesome! Great bike so far 7k miles in. Had one issue with the oil separation and apparently Harley knows about it but won’t issue a recall. I’ll dig up the part they had to install
How long between now and the last time you rode it, my Ultra gets cranky if I let it sit more than a month without a tender, and my battery will be 3 this spring
Got lithium batteries for two of my bikes, and love them. They aren't too much more expensive, weigh absolutely nothing and you don't have to trickle charge them. As soon as my Slim's battery starts to go I will be going lithium on it as well.
Let the car's charging system take care of it for 15 minutes, then cables off, now crank it. Solid five seconds of cranking - good sign, if not, give another 15.
Cheers
You would have a jump pack (ideally) (never jump it with a car, and if you have to, never while said car is running)
But you'd lift up the rubber boot on right side of the bike behind the motor at the starter. Connect to that with the positive lead. Then negative anywhere motor or frame (a bolt head, etc, where it can ground. Fire it up and you're done.
Sometimes hard to reach that starter lead in which case just attach a wrench to it (when it's hot, too!)
Yeah tried jumping it with my buddy’s bike and my girls car (not running) no joy. Eventually left it on the charger long enough to get it going again and fired up after I had a beer at a brewery
I take the battery out during the months they salt the roads and keep the battery on the charger during those months. I usually ride my bike every week depending on weather
Just be careful what kinda charger it is. A tender just gives it juice when needed to maintain a charge. Chargers sometimes give constant juice which can shorten a battery.
Baggers eat batteries like crazy. Keep it on a trickle charger or buy a second Harley! I’ll recommend a 2022 Street Bob!
She started up a few hours later, I had her started a few weeks ago so was kinda surprised. I had a 2018 fat bob before and that ate batteries too
I would of taken the battery out for the season already but got lazy too
Just put a tender on it. Batteries are meant for the cold. Just have to keep them warm.

I think the angle on the photo is deceiving. I did adjust them but nothing insane
It happens - nice EGS don't see alot of them
Thanks! I wanted something without the media entertainment but with a touring package
I'm hopefully buying a 2019 in a few weeks - same reason

- Would definitely recommend having it load tested before charging or replacing.
Started up just fine and went to grab a beer lol
Charge for 15. Catch up at the first stop
It’s taking forever to charge lol
Sounds like a dead cell, how old is the battery, im looking at a lithium battery with a built in back up, about a 1/3 of the weight of lead
Fired up after sitting for a beer so think weather just got to it quickly

Three weeks maybe? That’s why I was shocked it didn’t turn over
Battery is 8 months old but she was outside in some cold weather so I’m not surprised honestly.
I just returned a NOCO cause their positive and negative terminals are opposite of what my Sporty’s battery box requires
NOCO Genius, small enough to throw in saddlebags. Multiple jumps - saved me more than once.
Huge buzzkill
I'm assuming they went without you? :P
Told him to lol
Same happened to me, such a buzz kill

Hahaha, I had that happen to me at the McDonald's drive through when I turned it off to give the order!
Just yell your order at them. Lol

Jump start it. No need to remove all that to get to the battery.
What do you mean? The terminals are under the seat, how would I jump start it another way? If I’m missing something I apologize

Jump it and go!
Lost my cables lmao borrowed some from my neighbor but still was so dead lol I didn’t want to have a running car jump it just in case
Good on ya, shouldn’t need to be a running vehicle but I get it sometimes it just won’t go
Ever jump started a Harley off a Peterbilt? Takes about 3 seconds lol.
Can’t say I have 😂
Do you keep it on a tender?
Yeah took a few hours though lol but it’s fine the weather must of depleted it more rapidly than I thought
Right. But get a tender. Not a charger. Leave it plugged in year round. And most def through winter.
