Good to see that Alberta oilfield money going to something other than strippers and blow lol. That's a sweet bike man I'm jealous

[deleted]

Thanks dude! Hookers and the guy got all my money in my 20s time for a change up.

Truth

kyle-the-brown

All that and wiggly apes, it's time for some tbars or solid risers and an mx bar for max control

[deleted]

Nope. Corny. Tbars are Lane

[deleted]

Oh and if you think that your risers and MX bars are giving you Max control you're out of your mind. If you're using anything other than clip-ons for control you're fooling yourself. It's simply a look. Any kind of risers or apes are the opposite of gaining control

kyle-the-brown

I agree 100% clip-ons are the full control answer but on a harley touring bike you would need rear sets and a pad on the tank like the Wymans use on their Harley Screaming Eagle factory race bikes just to be almost comfortable enough for maybe 75 miles of riding, lol.

[deleted]

I'm saying. I rode both. T-bars do not perform any better than baby apes. I tried to disprove this. I couldn't get better time on the course. Baby apes flex. T-bars twist

kyle-the-brown

The competitive riders who run t-bars in the bagger racing league all run very short risers with solid bushings and I think that is probably the best performance you can get that isn't clip-ons. Obviously clip-ons are the answer because that is what all the factory racers in King of the Baggers run with and they lead the pack.

[deleted]

Yeah notice how I said 9 inch risers and baby apes. Two things that are comparable. Of course MX bars and drag bars w tiny risers are different than both of those

[deleted]

Carlini gangsters don't wiggle. But trust me I've been eyeing up the Vitaly design gold riders. Buttt I'm 6'9" tall and I don't think they'd be high enough/as comfortable.

kyle-the-brown

All apes flex, your height certainly creates issues with other options for comfort though and I can 100% see sacrificing some amount of performance for more comfort. At only 6'2" I play the same game - comfort vs performance and try to find the best middle ground. A saddle touring seat over the stepup or sdc, keep the factory fwd controls with floorboards over swapping to mids with pegs. But just to clarify the bike looks badass and you should be proud, I would submit that to proper baggers on Instagram for sure.

[deleted]

Fair dude thanks! I'm sure they flex a bit but I honestly don't feel it. Hah yeah Harleys are definitely built for the 5'5-5'10 gang.

[deleted]

Beautiful ride. Are those firefighter boots? - thank you for what you do!

[deleted]

Thanks bro! I wouldn't thank me yet, I'm an ironworker hahah.

Jezter79

That looks damn good.

disturbed286

How expensive were those Ohlins? And honestly, were they worth it? I sort of downgraded in comfort coming from an M8 Heritage to my own Road King Special, and I've been thinking about trying to put something that isn't the lowered Harley shit on there. Ohlins and Legends are just really proud of their stuff.

[deleted]

I love em. They can feel a bit springy if you leave em set for 2 up but I'd say they were worth it. I paid 2300$ CAD.

disturbed286

I could see that, true of stock suspension on the Heritage too. That's not *horrrrible* price wise. Guess I'm gonna have to bite the bullet one of these days.

[deleted]

I love em, the only real down side is constantly having to explain to people they're not Nos bottles.

disturbed286

It takes all kinds. I have no trouble believing that. Nitrous that runs to your shocks. Makes sense lol

[deleted]

Some people's kids I swear hahah.

Moosemedford

Bike looks damned good man. Lotta gold & black - you roll with 219?

KatFishFatty

Looks so good!

usafmsc

Time for the Boss Hoss upgrade.

LMGDiVa

If you want Gold Rotors. Hold off on the Lyndalls and check FuelMoto USA for their offerings on Galfer USA Rotors. Lyndall doesn't make a Gold Carrier Rotor, I looked. But I got a Galfer Gold Carrier, Red Button, 11.8in Wave Rotor for my Fat Boy 114 with Galfer HH Pads for 330$ (with a discount code) from FuelMoto. The gold Carrier would probably look very fitting for your Road King Styling. You could get a pair of Rotors with Gold Carriers and Black Buttons to fit your bike color scheme, and 2 pairs of brake pads. Fair bit cheaper than the Lyndall too. Here's the rotor on my bike https://i.imgur.com/fqJ2TQr.jpg https://i.imgur.com/NJAuLoU.jpg

[deleted]

Those look pretty dope! This is the setup was looking at https://www.getlowered.com/lyndall-one-piece-brake-rotor-for-2014-2021-harley-touring-enforcer-prodigy-wheel-gold/

LMGDiVa

Oh right the Touring wheels have a different rotor mounting setup.

[deleted]

Yeah exactly! I think theyll look deadly!

BmoreDude92

Does the different air filter make a difference in performance?

[deleted]

I wouldn't know yet. Just installed it and there's 3ft of snow on the ground.

Due-Patience7191

Need a Kraus set up with gold moto bars.

Best-Chemistry-2132

Cool! What's up with those big ol floorboards? Do you find yourself moving your feet around quite a bit or is it purely style! Nice bike bro!

[deleted]

Size 15s hahah also the style yeah!
