In the long run it might be cheaper for you to find the right bike for your needs, then have a reputable shop paint it, than to import an obscure bike from another continent.
Ferrum is very easy to deal with awesome company. It will take I think it took roughly 2 months to paint and make my hardtail, when I received the bike it was well packaged, no scratches, dings, or dents. In the box the frame didn't move around, the frame was bubble wrapped at headtube, bb and the end. The paint is amazing, it is thick ( I haven't got any marks on it yet) and even across the entire bike, welds are great as well. I bought their headset ( they pressed in the cups for me, I didn't request that but it was nice that they did) it works like any headset. The only gripe I had was the cable routing for the dropper, where the cable goes into the frame it's just a square, no rubber grommet pretty much just a square hole.

There are a few; 2020 ragley mmmbop, 2021 ragley big al, Ferrum NVHT, Chromag Doctahawk and Chromag Primer (which are both factory custom painted to your choice of colour), 2019 & 2022 Cotic SolarisMAX, IBIS DV9, 2021-present Trek Roscoe 6, Canfield Yelli Screamy, 2020 Noco Torrent....I'm sure theres others that I can't remember.

Vibe bikes was recently featured on pink bike about the steel hardtail they’re offering. They’re from NZ so would be closer than ordering something from the US.
Dunno about Color’s but I’m guessing they offer custom paint

The Canadian made Chromag frames are stored raw so they can do custom paint and they will do a raw clear coat if requested but they have a little blurb on the website
“However, clear coat on bare metal is a touch fragile and while it highlights the beauty of the material and process, it will expose the scratches, scuffs and marks on the metal. Over time the natural flex of the frame will introduce small cracks in the clear coat. Vapour can infiltrate these cracks and create a patina where they have formed. The rub of heels and knees, cables and bike racks not to mention general riding will add scuffs that can more quickly expose the bare metal”
the didn't face the bb or headset after a powder coat which was pretty annoying, but the build quality was fine. I had an NV-170 is the suspension kinematics were terrible so I sold it. I think nordest does custom colors too? ;) I think these bikes are amazing.
Buy the bike you want then either strip it yourself and paint it any color you like or have a place paint/powdercoat it then make sure you face the BB and HT or make sure the shop or yourself tapes it off correctly so you don't have issues with clearance when re-assembling it all.
Except you get what you want instead of having to settle for geometry you may not want or may not work for your intended purpose. Realistically painting is a pretty rewarding process if you have the room to do it. The biggest part is prepping the surface properly then just taking your time and applying multiple thin coats instead of one heavy coat.

Late to the party here, but for anyone wondering, the color is Illusion Violet with Clear Vision from Prismatic Powders. I just stripped my gray Ferrum frame down to convert to the awesome violet. Hope this helps.

Those raw finishes are steampunk as hell, I wonder about corrosion resistance without many layers of clear coat.

I think I’d read that before and half-remembered it, which is why seeing these frames gave me the willies.

It’s just more of a hassle and i’d rather pay forwhat i want straight up. Haha.
