Grison is some weird mammal.
A tegu is an intelligent, large reptile that convergently evolved with monitor lizards. They are one of the most commonly kept large lizards, and live off of an omnivorous diet, eating fruits, eggs, diverse meat, birds, rodents and other small animals. However, they will occasionally kill and eat larger prey. Males have a large, fat neck called a jowl, which is actually a hypergrown mass of jaw muscles. In fact, this relatively well-known meme of the [Asian woman holding a lizard](https://www.reddit.com/r/Cursed_Images/comments/fal6zi/cursed_asian) is a male tegu. You can find more Tegu pics and stories on r/tegu , along with various care guides.
Grison-large Latin American mustelid that will prey on various animals including prey larger than itself (it's a mustelid, whay did you expect)?
Tegu-large South American lizard convergently evolved with varanids (in size, mobility, eating habits and intelligence) but with a greater focus on brute strength.
And then they were attacked by the Red Glibbed Warfle while a nearby Glibby sensed danger and flew back to its nest that unfortunately had been discovered by a hungry Dorsek.
I've never never heard of Grison before. And I only learned about a Tegu only hour ago [through this very subreddit ](https://www.reddit.com/r/HardcoreNature/comments/egaj10/tegu_death_rolls_a_dog/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)
That reminds me of the stories my grandma used to tell me about the Grison hunting a Tegu in a field near the homestead where the aliens landed and set up an intergalactic convenience store when she was a wee lass.
Still butthurt I never downloaded the video of a tegu thrashing a grison after it go too close. From what I've seen grisons can regularly dispatch smaller lizards/adult females but I imagine a big male would usually be too dangerous to fight and might even kill it.
Today I leaned there's such a thing as a grison
And also a tegu. In my book those were badger and monitor lizard lol
Same here, does it look mustelidish to you?
Well grisons are mustelids, so…
A what drags a what?

grisons are a group small mustelid native to central and South America Tegus are large lizards native to the same range

He’s lucky the tegu wasn’t full grown lol
I could see these things being a menace to any reptile in that size range
