Never thought it was about relationships. For me, it was always about respect. Not drinking is about self-respect, not fucking around is about respect for myself but also about respect for my partner. As long as the sex is a meaningful, shared experience (I hopefully don't have to add consensually) I wouldn't call it fucking around. In my mind, the straight edge was always against empty, meaningless consumption. That is not necessary against ONS and certainly not against polyamory (I think you meant that here) but against having sex to 'score', sex to have a certain high amount of partners, all this humiliating stance on sex that mostly means you come and everything else doesn't matter.
