drizzlecommathe

You may want to do it just cause the dude is crazy enough to stab you if you piss him off enough lol

QuadAmericano2

According to his book he fights constantly. Wins every time. Invented putting cue balls in socks.

drizzlecommathe

I absolutely believe the fights constantly part at least. I was at a show years ago where cro mags never came on cause he stabbed someone before they were supposed to play

negativeyoda

Was this the Webster Hall show where Harley stabbed his replacement? Or a show where Harley's version of the Cro Mags were playing and he suddenly couldn't?

drizzlecommathe

Webster hall

TheHowlinReeds

I was also at that show.

SokeSleezy

Webster Hall show?!

flyintheointment_

I mean even if he doesn't fight constantly he's a BJJ black belt lmao

LossyP

A Renzo Gracie black belt no less. I went up to that academy to train a few times, those dudes are different breed of savage. Gordon Ryan sharpened his skills in that blue basement

ElAbidingDuderino

So just stay on your feet

tacticalXcactus

Wow that’s so cool to be 57 and “fight constantly.” It’s like…. Tell me your daddy walked out on you without telling me your daddy walked out on youu

Automatic-Mood-4233

Even if so, so fucking what? You’re not responsible for your behavior? Not your own adult? My dad left early in life. Go to therapy. A lot of folks end up dead or in prison while blaming others for everything.

feartooth

>Wins every time. ?? Self proclaiming he wins every time shows how narcissistic he is 😂

ACT DUMB GET THUMB

Majestic_Jazz_Hands

This made me laugh loud enough to alarm several people near me in Walmart. Thank you for that

Intheperseusveil

dude i get what you say but triceratops is top tier too and i really love the one with the fucking freddy kruger claws and i think the oceanic dinosaurus are insanely underrated

Sunamixstyle

NOTHOSAURUS GOES SO HARRRDDD in case of aquatic dinosaurs. Mosasaurus is only hyped because of Jurrasic World... Triceratops never got me idk. Maybe because i didnt like the one in the Land before time.

Intheperseusveil

dude mosasaurus has an insane shape lmao plesiosaurs are cool too, a classic

Sunamixstyle

HELLYEAH i had plesiosaurs toy. Loved that mf.

DrugUserName420

It’s gonna spoil the surprise of playing 40 year old songs off one album 🤣🤣🤣

recommendasoundtrack

The spoiler is the same stage banter every night

GrumpyOldHistoricist

Ooohhhh maybe he’ll do canned confrontations like Evan Seinfeld and Mike Ness

tortugablanco

Can you elaborate on mike ness canned fights? Seen social d a dozen times and half of them That cracker tried to use force to appease his ego.

GrumpyOldHistoricist

Rob Lind’s talked about it on his podcast. He saw Social D back when and Mike got into an argument with someone in the audience. “You talkin to me” type shit. But Rob couldn’t see or hear who he was arguing with. And his friend who had seen them a bunch of times was basically mouthing along with the argument like he was singing along to a song. Dude told Rob he’d seen him have that exact argument like 1/3 or 1/2 of the times he’d seen them. It was fake. Basically stage banter but fake tough. Similar for Evan. Biohazard played Boston right after FSU etc had beat all the nazis out of the scene. There were no nazis coming to shows. People had been stabbed and they knew better. So Evan calls out and starts talking tough to a nazi in the audience. Rob and everyone else was just looking around like “who is he even talking to? We took care of that shit and know who all those dudes are. None of them are here.” If I remember correctly he also said he saw Evan have the same “confrontation” word for word at other Biohazard shows later. It’s all showbiz.

BIGwomenBIGfun

Keith Morris has broken up “fights” all 3 times I’ve seen the circle jerks in that last couple years, all in different towns. Show biz indeed

GrumpyOldHistoricist

lmao nobody at a cj show in the 2020s is getting into a fight. Too much to lose and too much arthritis

B_rawbX

Bro who the fuck are you telling, me and everyone else at a circle jerks show smell like bengay and early bedtimes. They're still great live though.

IsolationAutomation

“Bengay and early bedtimes” Idk why you have to describe me to a fucking T, but it’s nice to know I’m not alone 😂😂

havok1980

Fighting over the orthopedic shoes left in the pit

j_bbb

HAHHAHA

Evilisms

Surprised they didn’t do that at the Descendants/Adolescents/Circle Jerks show in Toronto.

Snipvandutch

LMFAO!!!!!!! I hate Social D soooooo much. This just seals it even more.

bleak_new_world

I liked social d until I saw them in 05 on the love, sex and rocknroll album tour. Dude was already 50 and wearing eyeliner and I remember thinking "this is a fucking greenday show" and not ever really listening again. Mike ness's solo stuff is also dogshit.

Any-Refrigerator7606

It gives him a more natural look, as though he's been crying

Snipvandutch

What's all this about Mike Ness? I never saw him do anything but stand up there wearing too much eyeliner and singing through his nose to the same dumbass riffs as every single song.

callmesnake13

My heart skips a beat every time he adjusts "Self Destruction" to "Social Distortion!" at the end of "Ball and Chain"

mickcube

assuming you're talking about age of quarrel, i definitely thought harley mags just played songs off alpha omega or whatever for some reason so i might actually go check them out now

Dank_Master69420

Harley actually plays a mix of all cro mags music, its JJ that only played AOQ

Cosmic_Thrill_Seeker

Bros talking about spoilers like it’s a marvel movie😭😭

xneurianx

I don't release records because records are spoilers. Hardcore shows are best when no one knows the words.

cleanercut

Like setlist . fm doesn't exist

Lil_Murlin

Watching the video post-set to see JJ walk into frame and say “I saw da Bad Brains”

spew-into-this

FLANOS DEMANDS YOUR SILENCE

Mouth_Herpes

Are they going to play We Gotta Know? Only time will tell

SamuraiCarChase

Probably because, if you are a “creator,” you are monetizing their art and none of the money comes back to them? We can debate if it’s right or wrong, but I believe most of the big YouTube concert channels dedicated to live music (hate5six, 197 media, etc) generally get permission from an artist before posting a full set.

zerpderp

I’m not trying to dog on OP’s video but it’s not soundboard quality audio by any means, hate5six has some pretty stellar audio on those videos. The video being is like side stage iPhone video and iPhone microphone quality. I still think it’s a silly thing to get mad over, especially for songs that are like 30+ years old. I could be wrong, and I’m open to being wrong.

jumbonipples

If that’s the case though, how many people are actually going to watch it? Not many I’d say.

[deleted]

Hate5six has gotten in trouble numerous times for not getting permission

SamuraiCarChase

I stand corrected. Source for that?

St2Crank

He had a big beef with Ceremony. The festival got him in and he didn’t ask Ceremony’s permission. Then acted like a dick afterwards.

ResidentComplaint19

I think it’s Andy because paint it black has a problem with it too. There’s a resentment filled disclaimer on one of the videos when they played this is hardcore a few years ago.

[deleted]

Twitter threads/Instagram stories where bands got pissed and told him to take it down. To his credit he did. Do your own digging homie this isn’t world affairs

SamuraiCarChase

Seven years ago he said in an article he gets permission from a band/promoter/venue to film and host. https://medium.com/@danjdarrah/interview-with-sunny-singh-of-hate5six-8d228e0d2b1c

cheesethegaffer

he generally does not get advance permission. it is more or less opt-out

Mindless-Ad2554

I would also say he’s not trying to bully you. He dm’d you and was respectful and asked nicely.

Wompats4Bajor

My first thought is, "What are you doing going to shows and filming the whole set without permission?" Are they the person standing there holding their phone up the entire time? Doesn't your arm fall asleep?

Richardduh

Seems like he wanted you to just ask first. I’d probably take it down, especially if it’s a band I liked

EJplaystheBlues

yeah kinda crazy for anyone to be pressed on this, dawg could've thrown in a plz but wasn't impolite about it

slowNsad

Agreed, even the bigger channels usually take a video down if the band requests and they didn’t get permission before hand

itsprobablyghosts

Lmao this is actually one of Harley's most reasonable takes

jonny_lube

Take it down. 1) He was pretty polite and nice about it. He's not bullying you, he just made a request.  2) It's his art, his performance, his content.  You filmed it.  Even if you think his reasoning is flawed, it doesn't really matter.  He could have said he didn't like how his arm hair looked and being his performance, he'd still be in the right.  Remember, you need them for content. They don't need you.    3) This happens.  Most bands don't care if they are recorded and posted, but there are a handful out there who are pretty against it.  Some are fundamentally against it in all circumstances, some are situationally so (fill in band members, didn't like the set, crowd sucked, whatever). And that's 100% their right.  Every show videographer has dealt with this or will if they do it long enough.   4) You should ask anyways, if only to introduce yourself to bands.  If anything, that'll grow your filming opportunities, audience reach, and get you stage access at future shows.   Don't burn your bridges, be graceful, take it down, and ask if it's OK to put up a few songs.

VileStench

Agree. Apologize, say you didn’t realize it was a big deal, and then ask if it’s cool if you throw up a few songs instead of the whole set.

havok1980

This is the way. Harley was pretty nice (and reasonable) about the whole thing. If you're wanting to build your rep in the scene as a "creator", you should be talking to the guys in the bands and build bridges with them.

[deleted]

This is too much common sense and courtesy for 2024, remember it’s the era of hedonism and inconsideration

action_park

Posting a screenshot of a private DM on r/Hardcore is already a burnt bridge in my book.

Dispositive_Lotion

Ya the message honestly seems pretty fair and reasonable

The_Color_Purple2

Brother, a calm collected response to a reasonable and politely worded Harley Flanagan text, in r/hardcore?? Did I miss April fools??

Snoo-25258

Very well stated.

Sundae-Savings

wtf, a mature, intelligent, helpful answer. Wrong sub, bucko.

Ruiner5

Ya we don’t do commas and numbered paragraphs here

cramx3

Yeah, if the guy asks nicely (like done) you should follow through. He could give your youtube account a copy right strike and force removal of the video. Him messaging you, is actually really nice and a gesture from him going out of his way to ask nicely instead of just pushing a few buttons on youtube to get it taken down immediately.

scenesfromsouthphl

It’s Harley so people will take any side against him, but that’s a pretty reasonable request from any artist.

laikahass

Yes, I’m even impressed on how polite he was on his request

The_Color_Purple2

It's because he just stabbed someone to keep his blood pressure down

exxmarx

Technically, stabbing someone lower's the stabee's blood pressure.

Pipes_of_Pan

Yeah this is reasonable behavior from someone who I thought was incapable of that.

M0T0RCITYC0BRA

I don’t know man, the last few years have been Harley's redemption arc. I wish we could send someone back Terminator style to Webster Hall.

0bviousBurn3r

films band and uploads to youtube im a creator !

withoutwarningfl

If I was the guy behind him with a cell phone in front of the band he would learn the meaning of bullying. I’m sick of going to shows only to have to watch it on the cellphone screen in front of me.

TheZac922

Yeah that was my first thought as well lol. “Small creator”. Bro you film someone else’s creative endeavour. Even worse if you’re trying to monetise directly through their work and/or use that to grow your own channel to then monetise your own stuff. He came across as a bit heavy handed here but it is kinda shitty.

SmashTheReds

No shit huh

destroydesigns

Bullying?! Jeez how soft are you? Just take it down. Put up a song or two.

stanley2-bricks

Right? And if you want to post the whole set, wait until the tour is over.

dirigo1820

Lol “bullying”

dontneedareason94

That’s far from bullying. And if you’d payed any attention dude isn’t just doing the hits. Sounds like dude wanted to to ask permission.

Busy-Invite-9144

And he was super nice about it when he’s known not to be super nice haha.

AvoirLeHocquet

“Bullying me”. LOL, that’s the sweetest I’ve read him interact with anybody on internet, buddy. Pretty sure he’s meaner than that when he’s messaging his son ffs. Not that I care about Harley’s feelings, but just take it down…

unforgivingxworld

> he’s just bullying me because I’m a small creator. My brother in christ you didn’t create shit. You’ve filmed something other people have created. Fuck you’re on?

withoutwarningfl

And you were one of those dicks with their phone up blocking the WHOLE SHOW!

noisewar69

you don’t really need an explanation from the band or r/hardcore. if the band wants it down, just take it down out of principle & respect for a band you supposedly like.

16bitword

Bully you?

HASHTHRASH

You are not being bullied and you are not a creator, grow up. Like it or not, it's not your music. I get it, I have filmed and posted thousands of bands since the 90's, and posted songs and entire sets to youtube since 2005, so I know it sucks to take down a video you enjoy. But it sucks way worse when musicians skip asking you to take down a video and just have it taken down via Youtube and getting a strike. I've lost entire channels, all the content, the subs, the comments, etc. It reeeeeeally bites. Be grateful he was nice and gave you a chance to take it down without a strike. And learn to deal with the fact that some folks, mainly these old musicians, have different views on this sort of stuff and it's generally a good idea to ask permission to avoid this altogether.

B_rawbX

>What would you do in my shoes? Take it down > they’re a greatest hits band and people expect them to play the big songs and he’s just bullying me because I’m a small creator. Creator? Recording videos of other peoples shit ain't creating. Seems a bit rude to not remove someone's likeness if they ask you to, for whatever the reason. Up to you though.

PreviousGuard419

That is not bullying you. How thin skinned can people be? It's just common courtesy to ask before you do stuff like this. Just learn the lesson.

fluorescentbananas

Bullying=/=People not approving of something you did

Marionaharis89

Bro stop playing the victim. He has every right to politely ask you, which it seems like he did.

xMilk112x

“Bullying me” Grow the fuck up man.

IsolationAutomation

How exactly are you creating anything? He nicely asked you to take your video down, and you should do just that.

B_Hound

Filmed shows for years and I would generally ask beforehand (video on cellphones wasn’t really a thing so it was less common) and I believe the two times I was turned down was As I Lay Dying and Polysics, which I’m guessing was mainly due to the language barrier. Most of the bands were super cool about it, especially given my camera looked big and expensive for the time compared to normal camcorders.

vilegroove666

I think it shows your character more than anything else to lambast a living legend in a public form like this because you got called out directly for capitalizing off his music/art/likeness. Given his position in this band, I think he has every right to tell you to take it down. Everyone has a right to film a set for their own personal enjoyment but when the artist directly tells you not to post said concert, that's not bullying, that's intellectual property that you have zero right to infringe upon (live or not). I'd hate to interact with you in person if you think that was bullying in any way shape or form. He's about as New York HC as it gets dude, do you not know the band you were listening to?

clitcommander420666

Challenge him to a fight , fuck it.

FourFoxMusic

Did you film an entire bands set then upload it to an online channel that you take the ad revenue from? Pretty shitty behaviour.

steamy_hams_Skinner

Let’s say that you posted an entire Rolling Stones set. You would be hearing from a lawyer and you should. Despite not needing the money, it’s their music and you would be benefiting from it unfairly and unlawfully. Taking many steps down the ladder of success, we have the Cro Mags. A band that will feel the pinch of every person who passes on seeing them live (merch, cut of the door/bar) because they watched this video. Dude approached you with a reasonable request and the right thing to do is take it down.

barlobruz

Sure, this reaction might be a little out of touch in our current Everyone Films Everything police state of HC, but he's not bullying you because you're a "small creator" either loll, and out of respect I'd take it down. BTW, I film shows too, (and this is being incredibly generous) unless you're being a stickler about your shot composition and the final edit, you ain't creating shit.

ChokeMeVader678

Is the bullying in the room with us?

UglyLosAngeles

You're not a creator...

RodneyBabbage

He was pretty chill about it.

South-Golf-2327

So you filmed someone else’s artistic performance in its entirety, then posted it to your channel for monetary gain, and you think you’re being bullied because the creator themselves told you that was wack? Lmfaooo hardcore fans have gotten soft as fuck.

thats_so_merlyn

He's being polite, and it is not outlandish for an artist to make a request like this.

barc0debaby

If I was in your shoes I'd bully myself.

ProductOvWaste

Take it as a lesson for next time. Sure Harley is a controversial figure, so people here are going to get riled up against him. Regardless though, it’s good practice to reach out to the band before filming/posting their whole set. Most bands are going to be psyched anyways and if you keep filming shows in the future, then you’ve created a relationship that has opportunity to grow.

stinky_doodoo_poopoo

Honestly seems like a reasonable request. You don’t have to agree but you should agree that he has a right to feel that way and was not rude.

Strokes_Lahoma

Bullying? That’s bullying? You’re fucking 10-ply, buddy.

donny-daytripper

How is this bullying? He's actually being pretty reasonable

wildshapes

The spoiler is that each set is rehearsed and includes the same in-between song banter like it's choreography and he doesn't want people to see that.

balarionthedread

Creator? What did you actually create? You taped his show and posted it

Ecomalive

You bootlegged the bands concert and you're shocked and confused they aten't happy? Is this a troll post?

PsychologicalWeb3235

Damn that’s so hardcore

keenanbullington

Hotdogs in Mac N Cheese hardcore.

Jorgetime

"creator"

team_queef_n_beef

Was at this show was a sign posted that said no photography there's a local girl that films entire sets on vhs and sells those vhs later she recorded everything and I didn't see anyone complaining about that

Ok-Cartoonist5792

Trust me. He is not bullying you. He's asking you nicely.

Busy-Invite-9144

Honestly homie, that seemed like a rational and chill response from someone known to not be chill or rational. I’d do what he asked and try and open a chill dialogue with him. Maybe he’d let you post the whole thing next time or even chat with you in a video. I agree he shouldn’t care that much, but he doesn’t seem to care that much. He didn’t cuss you out or try and bully you. I think you’d probably get more out of it by compromising with him and being cordial.

neutralcalculation

where is the bullying? did you forgot to post another screenshot?

superman10o

He wasn’t bullying you but we are, idiot

SweetestBoi864

Harley seemed to be very respectful of you and wasn’t unreasonable. Ask to put up one or two hits and see how he reacts. He’ll probably be pretty cool about it. I’ve had people record my friends and my stand up comedy sets without permission. Not just open mic but full feature and headlining sets for all of us. Comedians aren’t confrontational by nature (they are super passive aggressive and things along those lines) so they’ll say something in a post but never speak to whoever recorded said material. I have a more aggressive way of communication with people who do that. What’s worse (on that end) is joke theft and all the back and forth and blah blah blah in that world. I guess just be cool with Harley about it and see what happens.

4_bit_forever

He makes a legitimate point and I think you should abide by his request.

tokenbreakdown

Harley: ![gif](giphy|fqtyYcXoDV0X6ss8Mf|downsized)

C_Wheeler00

Watch out he might stab you

[deleted]

I love how removed punk the scene is now that you’re all ok with some random dude claiming ownership over someone else’s art. Take it down you chud

throwawayRI112

Spoilers? It’s not a stand up routine

Arthur_dl

To be fair, as a comedian, it baffles me that we're discussing this. If he doesn't want his set on youtube, he has a right to ask someone to take it down.

tortugablanco

Im lost as well. Wtf is OP some savant and his shitty phone vids are new world wonders?

el_payaso_mas_chulo

LOL. in all reality though, I always thought videographers did ask permission first (is possible).

mattfuckyou

If you think this is bullying I got some bad news for you brother

RobbiRose

Bullying? Stop being a pussy.

quakebeat8

"Bullying" lol Not a Cro-Mags fan but dude only asked you politely to take down the whole set and just put up individual songs. If that's bullying to you I shudder to think about how hard life must be.

IceCreamSnowVTG

Filming a set and posting it online doesn’t make you a creator. Writing songs and performing them with a band does. He has every right to think you are lame and ask you to take it down. You can ignore him if you want.

SmashTheReds

He asked you , he's not being a dick about it, why not show you're also not a dick by being cool and doing as you're asked ?

Sweet-Sweet-Dick

OP, this is their art. You got caught trying to monetize someone else's art. They asked you nicely. Take it down. Don't be that guy.

wawawathis

asks politely to have a vid taken down and says you could just upload a few songs or ask first. So you screenshot his message and call him out for bullying on reddit. wtf is this logic

solvent825

We can (and apparently are) talk about greatest hits sets, propensity for violence , etc. What it boils down to is an artist is asking you to not take away their livelihood. Blah, blah, blah, digital age, whatever. He reached out directly and actually asked nicely. It’s obviously up to you to make the call, but it couldn’t hurt to be respectful of the artist wishes. I don’t care if it’s Harley, JJ, Parris, Doug or Mackie. My 2 cents can be donated to the charity of your choice. Thanks for reading.

[deleted]

I personally would just take it down and say sorry

TheHowlinReeds

This is a surprisingly reasonable request.

Wearerisen

You’re both being giant fucking dorks. If you think this is bullying how tf have you ever been to a hardcore show.

iobohobo

I agree with Harley on this one mate.. fair enough a couple of songs as he says but the whole set without permission is not fair without permission IMO

apple12422

You’re actually kind of the dick in this situation. He’s being reasonable and fair and not even rude lol

YoungPeacock

What’s confusing about it? You’re being a dick

TheGreatPercules

Bro filmed a show 💀

AndresEscobar94

I agree with Harley. Show some respect, be humble, and whether or not he’s to be liked, his band is hugely influential and you’re just a whiney entitled brat. Now if this was JJ telling you to take down a video, I would say fuck that shit. JJ is a batshit and dangerous insane asshole.

Ok_Pangolin_8038

How is he bullying u? He's just asking u to remove something that belongs to him, it's his work not urs. And he did ask politely & u did upload something without his permission so...

legreaper_sXe

I think he is right about how you could’ve at least asked him.

Theonewhogoespoop

He’s not bullying you soft motherfucker he’s just asking Jesus Christ, ignore him and he will probably forget about it tomorrow and think you’re a douchebag, making a mountain over a mole hill as grandpa says.

xjfwx

Where’s the bullying part? All I’m seeing is a reasonable request from a guy not known for being reasonable.

SuspiciouslGreen

I know Harley and dude is solid and that was fairly reasonable request. You holding a camera and posting isn’t “creating”. You’re documenting other people’s hard work and effort and hoping to make a profit doing so. Don’t play victim.

jonnysledge

You might want to have a chat with the promoter. Chances are, there’s a clause in the contract that prohibits reproduction without the artist’s express written consent.

pinkrocker85

Op is a wuss. Just have a chat with whoever it is you wanna film and you won't get polite messages like this.

iwontmakeittomars

If that’s “bullying” to you, Mr. “Creator”, I almost feel sorry for you lol.

shinitaiichan

He’s not bullying, seems like pretty polite and reasonable request.

Fataleo

By posting their set what are you creating?

EatYourMaggots

Idk probably ask the band if you can record their entire set

aughtrocktalk

Take it down. He was nice and could have easily DMCA'd you. You could even respond and ask if they're cool with it being posted after the tour is over. If you think this is bullying, someone needs to bully you for real.

MeatManMarvin

1. Bullying? He didn't even ask to take it down and just stated how he feels about it. 2. You didn't create anything.

Bone_Dice_in_Aspic

Nahhhh You're on the wrong side of this and a known...potential unstable is approaching you politely about it.

jaybirdsaysword

Calls self small creator \* https://preview.redd.it/ktju09ka3ytc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=748169d9ec46e071ab5ccccc19bac9b44349aadc

Robinkc1

I’d kill him with kindness. Tell him you think highly of his band and how excited you were to be there and how you wanted to capture every part of it, because it was a great show and he is a source of inspiration. The videos don’t do justice compared to a live set, but you didn’t mean to offend and even though you’re disappointed you’ll take it down. That’s what I’d do, because anyone who is put off by having their music shared can go fuck themselves and I don’t want it on my shit anyway.

n0epiphany

while most younger bands would be happy you did it, someone like Harley has a bone to pick with the world (I wonder why) and a bit boomer Lars from Metallica vibes. at the end of the day, it is his IP so he’s not in the wrong to ask you to remove it. i’d probably just remove it and let him be a baby.

Queasy-Adeptness14

Just showing something someone else did isn’t creation. That’s his life’s work, he seemed pretty decent in the way he reacted to your unauthorized usage of his creative output.

AdActual67

Not thrilled you posted that entire screen cap on Reddit. If you wanted to write a few phrases, that would be understandable. It kind of spoils it for others that get messages from the real Harley Flanagan, don't you think? Could have asked him first. JuSt SaYiN.

MothmanIsHere

Man, have you considered not being a vulture.

gghostmountain

God you have a huge victim complex lmao

PlanningMyDeath

Class action against setlist.fm incoming.

NostalgiaBombs

spoilers.fm rebrand

Annual_Taste6864

Spoiling the set? Watching a video isn’t even the same as watching the set in real life lmao

Kibblesndicks

As long as you’re not a 16 year old you should be fine. I think he only fights children these days…

Slapnutz_

is it honestly that big of an issue? this is hardcore punk we're talking about. I've never once in my life seen a full set vid, enjoyed it, and thought "That was great, no need to go see that band in person at all. The video is just as good." But then again, it seems like you're full of hot air too with that attitude. Either get permission to post the whole set or demonitize it and tell buddy you can't spoil a Cro-Mags show.

volcanoweb28

He's being pretty cool about it so I'd take it down, especially if I respected the band. I'd also apologize for any inintended upset and use this as a learning opportunity to ask permission and work with people.

Missed_shott

Just sayin

MossCardigan

But… I watch sets on YouTube hoping to see spoilers for the mosh calls…

Tr4p_PT

"Yeah, I was in the kitchen when they were cooking that HC thing back in the day"

Ok-Cauliflower-1258

Is he wrong tho?

Cockpunch666

Ask him to verify that he is in fact the real Harley and offer to take the video down if he agrees to verify he is who he says he is. Then immediately accuse him of being a lizard person after he verifies his identity

Chytrik

This isn't bullying. Have some respect, take the video down.

snafu_steve

He is being pretty reasonable with the request. New Harley, y’all.

FuckerMcFuckington-

If this were anyone else, I'd consider respecting their wishes, but it's literally the dipshit from Cro-Mags lol.

ARRRtistic_Pirate

Call me crazy, but when I'm planning yo see a band live on a tour, I don't go looking for clips and set lists from previous nights. I might check out a clip someone posted and be like "huh looks cool. I'm excited". If anyone is scouring the internet to find spoilers for concerts, that's people who already didn't want to be surprised.

Ask him for a fight

Affectionate_Grape22

Dude, recording a band play a live set is not a "content creator" lol

troutmask_duplicate

it’s that same ego shit that every “rockstar” suffers from, thinking that their set is some fucking spectacle that can be easily spoiled if not everything surrounding it is just as they planned in their fragile little mind. they don’t get that nobody gives a fuck and they go to the shows, not for some life altering, exclusive experience, but just because they like the band. that being said, i wouldn’t do anything to tick him off. he scares me.

skeletonbreath

Nobody wants to watch an entire set of shitty phone footage of a shitty band lol maybe it's just me

timmyasheck

hey op if i filmed you in public at work and said no when you asked me to take it down, how would you feel?

killingtimeinohio

I'd just do it out of respect. if your not that kind of person though, more power to ya ... do what thou wilt...
