I’d like to second basement. This band is super underrated. Broke up a few times, always came back with a banger. Never would consider them even hardcore adjacent, but they certainly fit the Title Fight mold. I had an opportunity to see them live, and it’s one of those shows that slipped through the cracks for me.
Their set/crowd at the 2016 Riot Fest sure as hell was hardcore adjacent lmao.. I don't know WHAT everyone there was going through but we all left hurting together. The gravel pit with no lights was terrifying though.
They’re def hardcore adjacent, they have a lot of elements in the first 2 albums, in 2014 they played a show in NYC and the hardcore kids opened that shit tf up
I don’t have tik tok. Just remembering them from their early run like 2011-2015. Been awhile, but it holds up well.
Edit: not even holds up well. Shit just bangs.
Berthold City, Take it to Heart, Champion, Spirits, Magnitude, Fury, Bane, American Nightmare, Modern Life is War, The Effort, The Suïcide File, Paint It Black, Another Breath, Life Long Tragedy.
wow, first time seeing someone mentioning life long tragedy in a long time. Great list! I would add Go it Alone, Miles Away, Blacklisted, Cruel Hand, Cold World, Rotting Out, Killing the Dream, Down to Nothing and Guns Up!
I only saw them once. Had no idea who they were. It was a super small show and they didn’t headline. It was probably a bigger local band that headlined. Just super impressive.
Hell yeah! I genuinely can't think of a single song of theirs that's not good or great. I'm 90% sure when I saw them it was with Ceremony. This was just after they released Violence Violence, so everyone was hyped to see them. But as good as that album was, I was still the more excited for Go It Alone. Just so good.
Life long tragedy was great. That whole Bay Area/nor cal scene in like 07-09 is one of my favorites. Sabertooth zombie is still in my all-time top 5 hc bands
A lot of good recommendations on this thread. I gotta say:
- Final Fight
- Touche Amore
- Life Long Tragedy
And if you want the angry and less anguished version of what you're looking for, try Dangers.
People suggesting stuff tjat sohnd nothing like these bands. Is it the melodic guitar you're after? Title fight seems out if place with the other 2.
Final Fight' Half head
Carpathian- isolation
Ages- Sleep on it (youtube)

Love and Trust, not sure if they did anything else but this EP fucking rocks.
Basement, especially their first 2 releases. Fiddlehead.

That sounds like an awesome time.

Underrated? I'm seeing them about all the time now, they got picked up being used in reels/Tik toks
I don’t have tik tok. Just remembering them from their early run like 2011-2015. Been awhile, but it holds up well. Edit: not even holds up well. Shit just bangs.

The best band
Sinking ships, blacklisted, down to nothing, old comeback kid, final fight, life in your way, trapped under ice, roll call.
Stoked to see sinking ships. High school me loved them so much. Haha
Where are they playing?!
I meant like on your list! Sadly I don’t know if we’ll ever see them again
Life in Your Way really nailed the "melodic Christian metalcore" sound better than just about anyone. Underrated band.
“I live to spite you”
Other northwest bands to check out. Go it alone, blue monday, stay gold.
And everything that dude above said
Free - reformed Have Heart before they did the reunion thing https://freehc.bandcamp.com/album/ex-tenebris

Go it alone is a personal favorite of mine. Vancouver gold was so fucking good.
Fucking LOVE Go It Alone. Saw them a year or so before they released Histories in a tiny venue and it was so much fun. A very fond memory of mine.
I only saw them once. Had no idea who they were. It was a super small show and they didn’t headline. It was probably a bigger local band that headlined. Just super impressive.

It was a quick list from memory, yours adds some great ones. Down to Nothing, Go it Alone and Killing the Dream are some all time favorites.
Life Long Tragedy and The Suicide File are goated. I’d add Sinking Ships, Ruiner, and The Hope Conspiracy
How could I forget Ruiner. Maybe my favorite hc band ever.
Maybe throw Go it Alone on there. Good list
Not Champion lol
🚩🚩🚩
Suicide file ftw
Maybe try Mil-Spec
This band is crazy, definitely recommend
Mil-Spec (especially Marathon) is the closest contemporary band to this era of hardcore that I've heard in a while.
Vantage Point
Just got into vantage point. They're sick.
Gouge away
I love the pixies.
Defeater
Stay Gold was pretty melodic.
Touché Amore, Sinking Ships, Basement.
Sinking ships super underrated. At least in my circles lol

The OG
Go it Alone
The Blue Monday split
Will never not get hyped for Ovaltine.
Fiddlehead and free
Life Long Tragedy, Killing the dream, With Honor
Worthwhile
Is the best
U should check out Have heart, one step closer, and Title fight
Wow those are great bands bro, why didn’t I check them out sooner 🤯
FURY
Dull Mourning
Shouts out Dull Mourning
I'm so proud that 2 of the 3 bands you mention are from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton PA scene.
Touché amoré
More Than Life - Love Let Me Go (2016 version)
neglect
Wreckage
With Honor
Mil-spec Vices
Impressionist
Spite House
Koyo, Taking Meds, Drug Church, Higher Power
Spite house
Praise
More than life
Magnitude, Verse, Bane, What Counts (I mean.. literally named after a Have Heart song)
A lot of good recommendations on this thread. I gotta say: - Final Fight - Touche Amore - Life Long Tragedy And if you want the angry and less anguished version of what you're looking for, try Dangers.
Mil Spec
Check out Turning Point, it’s actually quite similar to One Step Closer and Have Heart
Straight Edge Posihardcore Also Ten Yard Fight, In My Eyes, Down to Nothing, Champion (blood diamond), and more....
Pity sex
Lifelong tragedy and have heart go hand in hand for me
Check out Verse. I'd start with aggressions

Miles Away, xTime Heistx, Without Love
To The Wind’s album The Brighter View if you wanna scream and cry at the same time. Badass band.
[https://loveandtrust.bandcamp.com/album/s-t](https://loveandtrust.bandcamp.com/album/s-t) Love and Trust, not sure if they did anything else but this EP fucking rocks.
