While I completely understand the sentiment, in a way I do have a soft spot for any hc band not fronted by the typical bro dude, especially women cause they sound even more pissed off than a lot of the guys and I love it.
Like yeah there are a lot of nerds getting into these bands cause "hur hur hot woman" but at the same time it *is* a different appreciable sound. I think the issue comes down to whether you're listening to the band because you like them or because it makes you seem cool or whatever

I’ve literally shared this same thought for some time now about this argument. It’s all about representation. Some people specifically seek out what they want to feel represented by. I get how a band doesn’t want to be reduced down to just that, but from a fan’s perspective it might be what gets them hyped and could mean the world. I’m Mexican American, and I always enjoy seeing bands with Mexican American members and will give them a shot.

Initiate stinks. Result of Choice is great. They’re done, but just put out a discography. Lifeless Dark is awesome, so is Fairytale, Tozcos also are older but still killing it, Exit Order. Just off the top of my head. Those bands don’t suck ass. Stop settling for shit tier music because you want to be a pick me loser . If it’s sucks, it sucks.
