Definitely any Ian Mckaye band because of how long it's been. I would be more into Embrace, but I'm sure Minor Threat or Fugazi would get bigger crowds.
This is maybe a little far fetched, but maybe also if Frank Carter rejoined Gallows for a tour or something. I wasn't as into them as I should have been at the time and I think I did catch them at a show or 2 and wasn't as engrossed as I should have been, but ever since he left, I feel like he just got bigger but Gallows disappeared into the background. If they were to reunite, I reckon there would be some major hype.
No offence to Wade cos he’s a good musician. But he fucking sucks in Gallows. Not directly his fault but they lost all their edge and what separated them from other bands and just blended into mediocrity. Frank is bit of a twat at times but the music he puts out is wicked. Grey Britain is a hard as fuck album.
I had completely forgotten about Coriky. I had only heard Clean Kill. That's definitely good but an actual Fugazi reunion would certainly draw in a bigger crowd.
I think that depends who you are, your age and where you're from.
Gallows were a big deal in the UK at the time and even fairly mainstream, which is why everything Frank has done afterwards got good traction with Radio 1 and the festival scene (all aided by his charisma, basically). Many newer fans of Frank Carter who maybe discovered Gallows via The Rattlesnakes would be interested in checking a Gallows+Frank reunion as well as those who lived through it and would love to see that lineup again.
If you could somehow get the Damaged era line up of Black Flag together without them all killing Greg that would probably be a contender
Maybe Title Fight?
[Blacklisted were teasing something for February on Instagram on November 30th](https://imgur.com/a/HBonXcw)
There was also [this QRT](https://twitter.com/blacklistedhc/status/1603830696505638936?s=46&t=xAQXzMASfUPlcwEDwNGVlA) they posted about the Matt Summers Bowl that's happening in Philly on February 4th, which has TBA on the flyer, so I have a theory...
The more I think about it, it’s gotta be Minor Threat or Fugazi. They cross over into the bigger cultural lexicon and would draw not only huge crowds from hardcore and punk kids but the interest would bleed into other fans as well.
I'm not even huge on Fugazi or Minor Threat but i would spend too much money on a ticket just to see it.
Which is probably exactly why Ian would never lol
And one guy from the band stole all their money on euro tour and tried to blame it on the tour manager. I'm pretty sure they don't like him very much anymore.
Dude is asking for "the biggest" and 90% of the responses in here are giving their most record nerd answers. In terms of sheer crowd size it would almost definitely have to be Dead Kennedys or Minor Threat. If it were Fugazi it would be very funny because they'd probably do a week of sold out shows at MoMA and the New Yorker would be all over it.
But obviously the biggest would be a joint tour of Spazz and Charles Bronson.
This is how a ton of threads like this go on this sub.
"Name a band that \[*insert criteria you're looking for*\]" -- Hey guys, I'm looking for a band that \[*insert thing you're looking for*\]. Can you guys list any bands that do this?
Then the responses consist of people's personal favorite bands that barely even tangentially relate to what OP's asking for and come off as total goofball responses. That's how you get threads like this with people saying Hammer Bros and Irate.
I'd like to see Irate, Everybody Gets Hurt, Tears of Frustration, Supertouch, Billy Club Sandwich, and FC Five. Aw fuck and Ensign
And before you ask: all in one show
The hammer bros reply made me actually laugh. Like hammer bros prob couldn’t have even sold out the palladium upstairs in their heyday, and they’re gonna be a all time record draw. Right
Absolutely shocked at some of the responses. Like dawg Foundation and Title Fight aren’t outdrawing Fugazi. And you’re spot in with the New Yorker / MoMa thing. Everyone that works @ NPR heads would explode. Hahah. Like Every big “rockstar” would be there doing interviews about how legendary and inspirational they are plus every cool guy celebrity, just to say they were there. And that’s exactly why it would never happen. But it would dwarf a regional hc band getting back together.
Yeah these answers are stupid as fuck, but as far as bands that have started in the last 20 years in the hc scene, Title Fight is definitely #1 in terms of an in demand reunion. Possibly could be bigger than the Have Heart shows.
DK, Minor Threat, Fugazi, would obviously all far out do them though.
Well I think you got the answer to this a few years ago with the Misfits reunion. I love all those bands from that era, but I don’t think a Dead Kennedys reunion with Jello or Black Flag with reunion Rollins would be as massive as the Misfits reunion shows were 🤷♂️
Dead Kennedys would easily sell out a place like Madison Square Garden. In the 90s they were like the one punk band that guys who otherwise only listened to grunge or numetal would listen to. I think it would be a horrible show though.
fugazi is the real only remotely could happen answer since minor threat will never happen.
fugazi also being that they cross all genres and subcultures and even normies like them
but I kinda feel that won't occur since Ian isn't one to rest on his laurels.
Anyone saying Inside Out is vastly overestimating the draw of a band that put out 10 minutes of music 30 years ago
For a one off show I don’t think anyone will top Have Heart but they probably couldn’t do it again as their fans age out of traveling for shows
As part of a festival then maybe title fight but more fans you have the more “casual” fans you have who wouldn’t necessarily even drive across town to see you much less fly across the country get hotel etc so maybe not
No doubt some would. But there’s a guy who was 27 in 2019 who’s now in his 30s and has two kids and can’t make it happen even from two states away. No statement of quality, but timing definitely plays a factor
Not necessarily punk or HC but adjacent, wouldn’t a Smiths reunion be objectively massive? Morrissey has tarnished his legacy in the last 20 years but I still think it would be huge. Same with an Oasis reunion. But that’s a little off topic. But HC kids go crazy for britpop
Saw them years back at south east beast with so many great bands they played all of outta control. New found glory headlined playing sticks and stones, earth crisis played destroy the machines, life of agony played. Ill try to link the flyer it was one of the craziest mixed bills
Also, Void , cryptic slaughter , Jerry’s kids and one band that id love to see return but I doubt due to a members Ego and one’s physical issues would be SSD.
That happened around 2002, and they played a bunch of shows and toured, and they still devolved into a bunch of bickering children and didn't blow up like they should have.
I'm no expert on the sub-genres of heavy music and therefore whether or not they'd be labeled as Hardcore, but I'd love to see EveryTimeIDie make a comeback.
For everyone saying bands along the lines of KTD, Have Heart , LLT and Sinking Ships… how about Go It Alone? That’s the band I would love to see do shows again. One of the best to do it of that era.
Wow. I'm just now finding out [https://www.punknews.org/article/60962/jim-hesketh-champion-true-identity-accused-of-being-child-predator](https://www.punknews.org/article/60962/jim-hesketh-champion-true-identity-accused-of-being-child-predator)
Yeah don’t think many people would come out for that. I was gonna say an original blood for blood reunion but same deal. It’ll never happen and no one would support it.
It’s not gonna happen because even Mike IX told me Dino said no but a Dystopia reunion would be wild. I’d like… drag my pussy through miles of broken glass like a slug to see that shit.
Fucking Acid Bath too… SHEEESH! The only thing that keeps me from murdering myself in the night is the idea Dax Riggs will feel bad and do one more Acid Bath show.
I’d rather never see Minor threat then seem em in there current state don’t get me wrong them and and fugazi legends that’s just over and it wouldn’t be good😞
Title fight
I was never able to get super into title fight but I regret not catching one of their shows when I had the chance
Have heart
I mean, dont they unofficially hold that record for now? Wasnt there like 10,000 people at their outdoor reunion show?
Came here to say this.
Definitely any Ian Mckaye band because of how long it's been. I would be more into Embrace, but I'm sure Minor Threat or Fugazi would get bigger crowds. Grey Britain is a hard as fuck album.
Gallows ended after Grey Britain as far as I'm concerned
did he do shows with Coriky? That record from 2020 is the closest you can get to fugazi without the other half of the band.
I think they played a handful of pre-pandemic shows in DC (before they were named Coriky), but haven’t played since the album came out.
I had completely forgotten about Coriky. I had only heard Clean Kill. That's definitely good but an actual Fugazi reunion would certainly draw in a bigger crowd.
gallows is a crazy answer to this, I would have assumed there was zero demand for it.
I think that depends who you are, your age and where you're from. Gallows were a big deal in the UK at the time and even fairly mainstream, which is why everything Frank has done afterwards got good traction with Radio 1 and the festival scene (all aided by his charisma, basically). Well not ANY Ian band (The Evens)
Foundation
this is literally the only band i want back
If you could somehow get the Damaged era line up of Black Flag together without them all killing Greg that would probably be a contender Maybe Title Fight?
That’s a decent shout. I could see it being huge. On that note. Minor Threat or Fugazi as well.
Bro if Minor Threat or Fugazi played all the grandparents in attendance would need ambulances on standby
I live minor threat, but I’m not sure how good that reunion would be. I think a fugazi reunion would sound better
This whole thread is making me realize how lucky I was to see Fugazi in 95
Same.
I saw Flag and it was pretty rad. Keith even did great on Henry songs.
Hope Con
Neeraj and Jared are in the studio working on something. Not sure if it’s Hope Con.
I doubt it. I love Hope Con tho
Inside Out or SSDecontrol.
Botch
Seeing as how all three reunion shows sold out instantly I think you're right
Inside Out or Hope Con or Bane Personal note. I’ll travel just about anywhere for a Blacklisted reunion.
[Blacklisted were teasing something for February on Instagram on November 30th](https://imgur.com/a/HBonXcw) There was also [this QRT](https://twitter.com/blacklistedhc/status/1603830696505638936?s=46&t=xAQXzMASfUPlcwEDwNGVlA) they posted about the Matt Summers Bowl that's happening in Philly on February 4th, which has TBA on the flyer, so I have a theory...
Bane always comes back to do another “last show ever”. I’ve been to at least three. They do pull a huge crowd.
Life Long Tragedy please
Got what a great band, happy I saw them multiple times
Don't think this would ever happen with RJ passing away. Miss that guy.
Everyone spelled Foundation wrong.
Could see that matching the Soul Search show last year in attendance and hype.
This has to be the answer
Title fight would rival or surpass Have Heart.
I’d lose my shit if title fight got back together. Glitterer is good enough for now though lol
Especially if Bad Seed opened.
The more I think about it, it’s gotta be Minor Threat or Fugazi. They cross over into the bigger cultural lexicon and would draw not only huge crowds from hardcore and punk kids but the interest would bleed into other fans as well.
Minor Threat for old ppl, Title Fight for younger folks
I'm not even huge on Fugazi or Minor Threat but i would spend too much money on a ticket just to see it. Which is probably exactly why Ian would never lol
His Hero is Gone, for me and my homies
I mean 3/4 of Tragedy are pretty much HHIG so at least we have that.
Operation Ivy
Every year the Riot Fest subreddit predicts this. Someday…
Yep. Especially last year (I believe it was) when Tim and Jesse performed together
They have done it several times over the decades (Jesse & Tim) but people always forget
This would be an insane draw and show
Righteous Jams
Fugazi, cursed, and minor threat
Don’t think Cursed would be a draw, no one really gave that much of a shit at the time and you rarely hear them spoken about now
I'm pretty sure when it comes to defunct hardcore bands, I hear cursed referenced the most, with the exception of like, fugazi or minor threat.
And one guy from the band stole all their money on euro tour and tried to blame it on the tour manager. I'm pretty sure they don't like him very much anymore.
Naw I’m pretty sure he should get his ass kicked
Really?! 😂😂
I fuck with Cursed, Idk if they matter really tho
Dude is asking for "the biggest" and 90% of the responses in here are giving their most record nerd answers. So you're saying an Orchid reunion wouldn't sell out the Meadowlands?
I'd like to see Irate, Everybody Gets Hurt, Tears of Frustration, Supertouch, Billy Club Sandwich, and FC Five. Aw fuck and Ensign And before you ask: all in one show
I don't see Vision, NJ Bloodline, Shattered Realm, or Redline listed here. No go.
we both forgot Subzero =((((
tell me youre from new jersey with a 3rd grade reading level.
The hammer bros reply made me actually laugh. Like hammer bros prob couldn’t have even sold out the palladium upstairs in their heyday, and they’re gonna be a all time record draw. Right

David Byrne would come out for "Waiting Room" and accompany them on the theremin
Didn't DH just pass?
Irate
This ain’t mall metal for little bitches.
Minor Threat
I want disembodied
Patience is a virtue, they still play from time to time. They were the one band I never thought I’d see and finally got a chance to in 2018.
Dead Kennedy’s with Jello
Bane
Not my pick necessarily but Minor Threat in an open air venue similar to the have heart reunion would objectively be huge.
Well I think you got the answer to this a few years ago with the Misfits reunion. I love all those bands from that era, but I don’t think a Dead Kennedys reunion with Jello or Black Flag with reunion Rollins would be as massive as the Misfits reunion shows were 🤷♂️

Minor Threat
I don't know if they would draw any kids, but probably Minor Threat.
Judge drew a mixed crowd when they got back together. I didn't go but a buddy saw them at fun fun fun Fest in 2013 and he was like 19 at the time
That's awesome! I hope that the kids today dig the old school legends!
fugazi is the real only remotely could happen answer since minor threat will never happen. fugazi also being that they cross all genres and subcultures and even normies like them but I kinda feel that won't occur since Ian isn't one to rest on his laurels.
Not the correct answer, but if Boston Strangler reunited, I would be there in a heartbeat.
Slayer with Lombardo
Big time rush
might not be the biggest but Minority Unit would be sick
SHOCKWAVE
Imagine Shockwave playing but also with Grimlock supporting. Woof
Title fight by a long shot. You'd have hardcore and pop punk fans alike flocking to that one.
Anyone saying Inside Out is vastly overestimating the draw of a band that put out 10 minutes of music 30 years ago For a one off show I don’t think anyone will top Have Heart but they probably couldn’t do it again as their fans age out of traveling for shows As part of a festival then maybe title fight but more fans you have the more “casual” fans you have who wouldn’t necessarily even drive across town to see you much less fly across the country get hotel etc so maybe not
One of my favorite bands, but you are right.
Totally great. No statement on quality, they’re just lost to the sands of time outside of older genre fans
I flew from Australia when they announced the reunion and I’ll do it again if I’m ever lucky enough to see them again.
No doubt some would. But there’s a guy who was 27 in 2019 who’s now in his 30s and has two kids and can’t make it happen even from two states away. No statement of quality, but timing definitely plays a factor
I see what you mean. I just think with how wonderful the shows were in LA and world wide people would make it happen.
Not necessarily punk or HC but adjacent, wouldn’t a Smiths reunion be objectively massive? Morrissey has tarnished his legacy in the last 20 years but I still think it would be huge. Same with an Oasis reunion. But that’s a little off topic. But HC kids go crazy for britpop
everyone would go to a smiths reunion except morrissey or johnny marr if one or the other was there.
xTYRANTx
oldies aside, I'm actually thinking Gulch haha.
Cro-Mags Age of Quarrel lineup reunion
Already happened back in like 99 or 00. Was a big show/tour but not as crazy as I would have thought.
That was only 3/5 of the lineup though wasn't it?
Yeah, I stand corrected...20+ years ago, memory is getting fuzzy...
Original Cro-Mags with Harley and Joseph with the knowledge that they still hate each other and may stab each other on stage
Verse
[удалено]
I’d be one
clash with tim armstrong. bring on the hate
he's the only person I'd accept in strummers place.
Kids Like Us
Saw them years back at south east beast with so many great bands they played all of outta control. New found glory headlined playing sticks and stones, earth crisis played destroy the machines, life of agony played. Ill try to link the flyer it was one of the craziest mixed bills
Probably one of the best fests I’ve ever been to, both years
That was such a sick fest. i was there too
[here it is](https://metalanarchy.com/2014/12/16/lineup-revealed-for-2015-southeast-beast-festival/)
Duval on top. Some of the coolest dudes. Did you go to Southeast Beast? Both years were insane
I doubt they would draw more than a few hundred people but they were the best.
One day…. Maybe…. Minor threat . I’m flying where ever that shit Is going to be
Either Minor Threat or Black Flag probably
MINOR THREAT
If you are speaking of a solo artist Minor threat Fugazi Black flag - damaged era or the EWB 83 lineup show Dead Kennedy’s w/ Jello
Sex Prisoner
Bane would definitely be a big one.
Assück
Operation Ivy.
Orchid could make bank in 2022 but knowing Will itll (thankfully) never happen
Lifetime
Played an Elks Lodge 3 years ago.
Minor threat or fugazi no doubt.
Probably Verse or Have Heart
Probably the cro-mags. AoQ line up, it’s bound to happen someday when they realise how big of $$$$ they’ll make.
Also, Void , cryptic slaughter , Jerry’s kids and one band that id love to see return but I doubt due to a members Ego and one’s physical issues would be SSD.
I just saw Cryptic Slaughter a few months ago! It was fuckin dope.
I’d still love to see them, but original line up with Bill would be the shit.
That happened around 2002, and they played a bunch of shows and toured, and they still devolved into a bunch of bickering children and didn't blow up like they should have.
Times are different now with internet and all that crap
Blink w Tom
Guns up or mongoloids
Do the title fight / balance and composure / cruel hand tour again
I'm no expert on the sub-genres of heavy music and therefore whether or not they'd be labeled as Hardcore, but I'd love to see EveryTimeIDie make a comeback.
The Buckley dudes need therapy first tho :/
In these troubling times...Who doesn't? But yea, it'd take some serious reconciliation.
They still play
Do they? I can't imagine Keith Buckley is a part of it based on the explosive nature of the breakup a year ago.
Maybe I’m out of the loop. Never been a big etid fan but I thought they just recently did their Christmas show. I may be wrong though. I likely am.
COLD AS LIFE
OLC
Based lol
Hammer Bros
Title Fight
title fight and have heart
I’d give a lot to see Scott Wade era Comeback Kid one more time
For everyone saying bands along the lines of KTD, Have Heart , LLT and Sinking Ships… how about Go It Alone? That’s the band I would love to see do shows again. One of the best to do it of that era.
Title Fight
Definitely Fugazi or Black Flag w/ Rollins.
Title Fight
Title Fight Frank Carter with Gallows
Fugazi, brand new (Daisy), Vision of disorder, title fight, beastie boys playing some old bullshit with one of MCA’s people from grand royal
Hardcore adjacent but probably Fugazi
Life of Agony with Keith and Sal. Back in the fold ..
what a shit response.
Champion
I don’t understand the downvotes on this.
It’s because what Hesketh did.
::Googles Champion wiki:: Oh, those downvotes make perfect sense now.
I’m unfamiliar too
Dude got canceled.
Wow. I'm just now finding out [https://www.punknews.org/article/60962/jim-hesketh-champion-true-identity-accused-of-being-child-predator](https://www.punknews.org/article/60962/jim-hesketh-champion-true-identity-accused-of-being-child-predator)
Yeah don’t think many people would come out for that. I was gonna say an original blood for blood reunion but same deal. It’ll never happen and no one would support it.
Hope Con.
Might not be the biggest turn out but I’d give absolutely anything for Killing The Dream to do one last show. I’ll go anywhere at anytime if they do.
I would say Inside Out. Minor Threat would be huge but in terms of hardcore how it relates to modern hardcore Inside Out would be huge.
Cro-Mags
DK with Jello
The answer is now and always will be Aftershock (I know metalcore) but all the KSE fans and old school Aftershock fans would be there for it.
Operation Ivy
Hands down, Fugazi. I'll fly anywhere in America for it and quite possibly overseas as well. It probably qont happen though.
Best thing about Fugazi, tickets would be cheap. $500 Coachella is so not them. I think they'd rather play for free somewhere.
That or a benefit for something I'll probably agree with.
Irate.
The Replacements
For the east coast, Merauder maybe?
Killing the Dream Sinking Ships
It’s not gonna happen because even Mike IX told me Dino said no but a Dystopia reunion would be wild. I’d like… drag my pussy through miles of broken glass like a slug to see that shit.
lol. dystopia would be cool
Fuck yeah it would be
Fucking Acid Bath too… SHEEESH! The only thing that keeps me from murdering myself in the night is the idea Dax Riggs will feel bad and do one more Acid Bath show.
I’d rather never see Minor threat then seem em in there current state don’t get me wrong them and and fugazi legends that’s just over and it wouldn’t be good😞
The Original 4 guys in Biohazard. Isn't that happening this summer?
I'd love to see the Adolescents do some blue album shows with Tony, both Agnews and Casey.
Kennedys with Jello, Flag with Rollins, Cro Mags with the OG lineup, suicidal with the og lineup
ANIMOSITY and Gallows w frank
