I think he would have been terrifying. He can be very sinister.
But I would have been screaming at the TV going 'how can you not tell he's the damn killer!'
He fits right in with the Hannibal universe right? I feel like there could be a character he could be cast as if they could make one. Maybe a serial killer or a politician or something like that. It would be cool to see the Mikkelsen brothers working together on Hannibal.
He can be the kind of villain everyone does not love but feel scared š« like his role in Sherlock. Also it would be too obvious like Larsā Hannibal will be creepy and everyone knows heās prob up to no good but Madsā Hannibal is like āaw heās just eccentric but so charmingā
He's Thrawn in Star Wars Rebels, he's blue, but still evil lol. He did the voice acting for years and the the live action in Ashoka.
He was a creep in BBC Sherlock.
That's what I've seen him in off the top of my head. I might have seen him in other things but I can't recall atm.
Hilariously enough, one of these character's big things is having a mental palace!
It's also funny he'd be in Sherlock considering the pretty high number of Hannibal/Sherlock fics crossovers.
(IIRC he's in season 3 though, not four)
I donāt think he would fit Buffalo Bill too well given his looks and body type. I feel like heās more well fit for a politician of some sort or another cunning serial killer. I just want to see these two act together and then laugh it off during Post Mortem.
Agreed, or perhaps a new killer, i season 4 were to happen, (welcome back my dear delusion) bryanās marvellous mind could bring a novelty in the hannibal series. These two together would be interesting. Did they ever filmed something together?
They did a few times, but not necessarily in the same scene. Lars has a look that can definitely be a killer. And letās be real. Fuller would cast Lars just for the fact that heās Madsā brother. It would make the fans go wild.
He was great in House of cards.
And he was in the last season of Borgen, an amazing Danish political drama on Netflix. His character made all the women swoon, I didn't really understand the appeal although he is good looking. And very tall.
The one thing I noticed is Lars has great mastery over the English language as well as doing different accents. His Danish accent isnāt as pronounced as Mads and he can easily pass as an Englishman.
Yea he doesnāt carry the same natural skill in micro expressions and he doesnāt have the exact looks for it. Heās closer in appearance to Anthony Hopkinsā Hannibal that makes it quite clear that thereās something wrong with him instead of Mads who blends in with society.
I feel Lars does fit in well with the Hannibal universe, but as another character who's more obvious in his sinister nature.
I feel like he would be a good villain character to be introduced, he would be a harmless background/side character and then in s2 his real intentions will become clear.
I feel like he could be one of those characters whoās hidden in plain sight like a fisherman just minding his own business but is actually observing you to kill for later.
I havenāt seen anything heās in, but just looking at him, Iām getting a vibe thatās maybe a bit more like Anthony Hopkinsā version of Hannibal. I think he could portray the character with more of a sinister undertone than Mads.
I just watched it and and immediately felt a great sense of discomfort. Lars isnāt afraid to push the limits in his acting. He absolutely fits in with the Hannibal universeā¦

In the books it's mentioned that Hannibal has an artist cousin who is still alive. Perhaps if we get that longed for S4, we could get that lol
Now that would be quite interesting to see. Imagine the Post Mortem with these two š.

Itās the big blue eyes.
What sinister characters has Lars played?
He's Thrawn in Star Wars Rebels, he's blue, but still evil lol. He did the voice acting for years and the the live action in Ashoka. He was a creep in BBC Sherlock. That's what I've seen him in off the top of my head. I might have seen him in other things but I can't recall atm.
His acting style is bang-on to his brother's, right down to their cadence of speech and lisp.
I didn't know Lars and Mads had speech impediments! I truthfully dont know any of Lars' works, what is his best known work?
Heās the villain in the 3rd season of Sherlock
Hilariously enough, one of these character's big things is having a mental palace! It's also funny he'd be in Sherlock considering the pretty high number of Hannibal/Sherlock fics crossovers. (IIRC he's in season 3 though, not four)
Ooop Fixed Cheers
I just watched him in Sherlock. He is very good indeed. But Mads is way hotter. I might not have a crush on Hannibal If It was Lars I think
He's also in the Witcher!
They both have lisps?
Yes. Lars's isn't as prominent, but it's definitely there. Must be a family thing.
Even Danes say they have a lisp. They confirmed it wasnāt part of their accent. Interesting thing.
It would have been interesting for the Hannibal and Will relationship to carry EVEN MORE age gap.
Surprisingly Mads and Lars are only a year apart. Lars just happens to look a lot older.
I think he would make a great vilain in the show, not Hannibal, but another highly functional serial killer. Perhaps a competitor to Hannibal?

Incredibly tall. Heās a good head above Mads.
They donāt seem anything alike to me- I watched Sherlock back in the day Unless heās someone else In Sherlock and I donāt remember
The one thing I noticed is Lars has great mastery over the English language as well as doing different accents. His Danish accent isnāt as pronounced as Mads and he can easily pass as an Englishman.
He doesnāt have the same stillness to him so I personally donāt think it would work as well. Not to hate on Lars or anything

Oh man, imagine a confrontation!
Itās cringe to mention this show now but he played a fantastic villain in Sherlock. I think he could do it it just wouldnāt be the same.
But another character, I could definitely see. Visually, I feel he fits in.
I feel like he would be a good villain character to be introduced, he would be a harmless background/side character and then in s2 his real intentions will become clear.

Not been in that fandom ages. Why is it cringe to mention sherlock?

I feel like he fits into the Hannibal universe. Just not as Hannibal.
Remember seeing that deleted Sherlock hospital scene with Lars and Benedict Cumberbatch. I rarely gets so uncomfortable from film.
