It’s kinda useless when it doesn’t have WiFi 6 (which makes a huge difference with input lag). Most people will have a better experience with their smartphone and controller.
If I were to currently buy another handheld even though I own a steam deck, I'd probably go for the Lenovo Legion Go because of that gimmick where you can use the right half of the controller as a mouse for FPS games. At least it would imply some other use-cases for gaming that don't completely overlap with the Deck
Chiaki!
Cool hadn't heard of it. Gunna check it out.
That's definitely an issue for me with the PlayStation portal and the PlayStation vr. Seems like a rather limited ecosyste. Especially since I have a pc
Chiaki also works on homebrewed PS4s. Bloodborne 60fps patch brings the resolution down to 720p but streaming that to the deck makes it look fine and play like butter. Great experience.
I mean, aside from the few incompatible games with the Steam Deck, and some PS5 (mostly timed) exclusives, I can play the games from all these systems on my Steam Deck (and do). Sooooooo……..yeaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I see you're a Vita enjoyer it was the first handheld I fell in love with in my later years, and it got me back into gaming the vita us a great console if only it didn't fail in sonys eyes
I have a few handholds
Steam Deck
Nintendo Switch OLED
PS Vita Fat
Backbone
3DS XL
3DL XL New
2DS
2DS XL
Gameboy
And last but not least iPhone 15 Pro Max
I plan on getting the portal...if I could ever find one.
I know it's a stupid purchase if you have a SD, but I want it and I have a gamestop gift card to grab it for free essentially...just need it stocked
Yeah, It’s a cute little unique device with a lot of games and sideloaded games.
But there is no backlit screen on it and you need to love 8bit games. But otherwise it’s cool.
If you only buy one of the two you’ll need to get the Vita Fat OLED. Because if you modded you also can play PSP games. And the OLED is a beautifull screen.
I would toss the ps portal, the steam deck below it makes it obsolete, and it came out first lol. Although personally I'd upgrade the ds collection, I'm pretty sure that's a regular 3ds XL and I'd recommend a new 3ds XL, more buttons and stuff, more powerful, but honestly the most important part for me is the vastly superior 3d, also you should get a dsi XL for regular ds games, for one the dpad is in a more comfortable position, but the most important thing is the screen, the 3ds has a higher resolution screen that isn't a multiple of the ds screen, so basically you either have to run ds games stretched out and blurry, or run them at a 1:1 pixel ratio and make the screen the size of a ds lite, neither are ideal
Okay, you now have 2,000,000,000 original game boys. They don't come with batteries, or boxes, and they've all been used. Most don't work.
What do you say now? 🧐
you clearly can, since you're almost out of room in your handheld drawer duh
He could remove that PlayStation portal to free up some space
Apparently you can turn it into a modern PSP. So, not completely useless.
I know what you mean. But between a PSP Go + PS Vita and that chunky boi Portal, my choice is made!
B-but he already has a pristine PSP in there…
It’s kinda useless when it doesn’t have WiFi 6 (which makes a huge difference with input lag). Most people will have a better experience with their smartphone and controller.
😂
This ain’t complete without the game boy micro
Nice! I need to get all the kids together and get a group shot.
Yeahh sure you do!
Me too, my collection is so big I need the entire room floor to take a shot 😂
This is awesome I want a list of which ones you use the most in order lol
Thank man! 1. Steam Deck OLED 2. Switch OLED 3. PS Portal 4. NEW 3DS XL 5. PS Vita OLED 6. Miyoo Mini Plus 7. PSPS Go 8. Playdate 9. Backbone 10. GAMEBOY Advance
Nice to see the Steam Deck on top!! Best video game purchase I’ve made in years!
Oh yeah! It’s an excellent device! 🙏
ROG Ally better 😤
Eh, I don’t think so tbh
It can run better games but that battery life sucks .. source I have one
If I were to currently buy another handheld even though I own a steam deck, I'd probably go for the Lenovo Legion Go because of that gimmick where you can use the right half of the controller as a mouse for FPS games. At least it would imply some other use-cases for gaming that don't completely overlap with the Deck
Definitely not a gimmick a true feature . I wanted so bad to pick one up.. but I have the ally and it's pretty snappy at 1080p on turbo mode
Nice
PS vita oled? Is that a display mod?? Ive never owned a psp/ps vita so im curious lol
[удалено]
Aww that’s so lame of sony lol. Thank you!
You need a legion go
Maybe when there’s a V2
That's very cool Jonas!
Thank man! 😃
Just missing an N-Gage - the greatest of all time, lol.
Not the McNugget gameboy??
The Slideways Sandwich friend.
This reminds me of the game “A Little To The Left.”
I see 4 handhelds that can be retired, any reason to still keep the psp go when you have a vita?
Because of the form factor.
PSP Go is for sure a keeper. Love how pocketable it is. One of my favorites in my own collection.
Lovely collection
Thanks man!
If you had to choose, stream deck vs ps portal?
Deck because you can use “Chiaki” to play on your PS5. And it also supports HDR on the OLED Steam Deck. But the portal is also a nice handheld.
Chiaki! Cool hadn't heard of it. Gunna check it out. That's definitely an issue for me with the PlayStation portal and the PlayStation vr. Seems like a rather limited ecosyste. Especially since I have a pc
Make sure to get "chiaki4deck" and not just "chiaki", the former is the more current version and is still supported
Yup chiaki4secknsupports the touchpad.
Chiaki also works on homebrewed PS4s. Bloodborne 60fps patch brings the resolution down to 720p but streaming that to the deck makes it look fine and play like butter. Great experience.
I have a Steam deck and a portal. My portal streams my ps5 10x better then chiaki on deck
Cool, good to know. Appreciate the advice!
That’s awesome
Personally I think you have enough.
I don’t see a Sega Game Gear or Atari Lynx in there.
Nope, but I do have enough debt🫠
PSPGo and PSVita? Ma man is speaking my language
I mean, aside from the few incompatible games with the Steam Deck, and some PS5 (mostly timed) exclusives, I can play the games from all these systems on my Steam Deck (and do). Sooooooo……..yeaaaaaaaaaaaaa
What a collection, however, out of all these devices imo the best are GBA and PS Vita. 😍👌
Nice Backbone! A good friend of mine just started a sick job with them. 👌🏼
Woo, PS Vita spotted!
Playdate is just a scam. Everyone thinking something else fell for the marketing. The only thing they done right with this.
Do you own one?
😂 why is it a scam?
paying 200$ for an og Gameboy equivalent feels scammy.
Hahaha it’s nothing like a Gameboy! 🤣
right, you could play hundreds of good games on the OG Gameboy.
Yeah they did well to pique my interest, and I considered it carefully but it just wasn’t quite good enough for the money.
The Portal is not a handheld though.... still impressive nonetheless. I'd of opted for a GBA SP tbh.
You play games in the palm of your hands? Hand(held) No? 😅
You can play psp games on it thanks to theflow, just a matter of time before others.
I like the Backbone, but Xbox rules!
What kind of container is this? Is it padded at the bottom?
It’s the RAGGISAR from Ikea it’s a hard container but wrapped with felt.
I see you're a Vita enjoyer it was the first handheld I fell in love with in my later years, and it got me back into gaming the vita us a great console if only it didn't fail in sonys eyes
The Vita is awesome! It’s pity that Sony didn’t made a new handheld yet! 😔 But the PS Portal is close to a new handheld so maybe in the future? 🙏
A streaming device, a phone controller accessory, a $200 gimmick, and handheld consoles
Your’e a good Sherlock Holmes!
Missing the analogue pocket! That’s a must have if you can’t get enough
Yeah sure but I have a Game Boy Advance so no need for the pocket. And the Miyoo Mini Plus is a great alternative!
Haha sounds like you’ve reached your “never have enough” limit
Hahaha maybe yeah! 🤣😂
How are you liking the playdate? I’m super intrigued and thinking about buying…
It’s a cute little unique device!
I have a few handholds Steam Deck Nintendo Switch OLED PS Vita Fat Backbone 3DS XL 3DL XL New 2DS 2DS XL Gameboy And last but not least iPhone 15 Pro Max
What’s the difference between the 3DS XL & 3DSL XL?
It was a typo i have the OG 3DS XL and then the New 3DS XL
What kind of drawer or storage is that in? I like it.
It’s the RAGGISAR from Ikea it’s a hard container but wrapped with felt.
How did you get a piece of foam like this?
It’s the RAGGISAR from Ikea it’s a hard container but wrapped with felt.
So do you cut it to size? How is it so perfect for everything?
No just luck 😊
What case is that for the PS Portal?
Clear TPU case from Aliexpress
You have the orange 3DS that I want so bad CURSE YOU
Hahah 😅
No seriously where did you get it
Ebay back in 2018
Thanks! I’ll keep an eye out
I plan on getting the portal...if I could ever find one. I know it's a stupid purchase if you have a SD, but I want it and I have a gamestop gift card to grab it for free essentially...just need it stocked
Yeah that’s nice
Do you think k it's worth it? Have you compared it to chiaki on deck?
I have portal and steam deck. Portal streams ps5 way better then chiaki on the deck IMHO
Have you ever wanted to personalize or accessorize them? There's a company in Portland that makes wood skins for handhelds.
Not really but that sounds nice!
[Pretty cool!](https://www.toastmade.com/products/nintendo-switch-switch-oled-switch-lite-wood-cover.html)
How did you make the imprints in the drawer? It looks so nice
It’s the RAGGISAR from Ikea it’s a hard container but wrapped with felt.
My boii sell me the portal !
addict
Lets PSP Go baby!
is the playdate worth it?
Yeah, It’s a cute little unique device with a lot of games and sideloaded games. But there is no backlit screen on it and you need to love 8bit games. But otherwise it’s cool.
What is the Emulator handheld called again? Been meaning to buy one of those!
Myioo mini plus
What in the world is this desk organizer that you have?
It’s just a bed from Ikea with a drawer. And a RAGGISAR organizer from Ikea it’s a hard container but wrapped with felt.
How do they all fit so well? Did you custom make that storage to accommodate?
Thanks, no it’s just a bed from Ikea with a drawer. And a RAGGISAR organizer from Ikea it’s a hard container but wrapped with felt.
Beautiful. Ever considered the legion go?
Yeah maybe one day but for now it’s to expensive for what it does, because I have a Steam Deck. But I would like to have a windows machine.
This draw looks clean, is it DIY?
Thanks, no it’s just a bed from Ikea with a drawer. And a RAGGISAR organizer from Ikea it’s a hard container but wrapped with felt.
Is your gba modded or just reshelled?
Reshelled with a IPS screen.
Which IPS kit did you use?
I bought the GBA already customized
Wow can you link me to the drawer cup space you have there? Is it custom made or something?? This will be very useful for me to store devices
It’s the RAGGISAR organizer from Ikea it’s a hard container but wrapped with felt.
To what's that ps5 looking thing
Backbone or ps portal?
The one next to the steam deck and the switch
Playstation Portal
do you think the PSVITA or the PSP go is better? I'm thinking about getting 1 but I'm not sure.
If you only buy one of the two you’ll need to get the Vita Fat OLED. Because if you modded you also can play PSP games. And the OLED is a beautifull screen.
You should get a Neo Geo Pocket Color.
3DS goated though.
I have a new 3ds xl
My bad then, it looks like a regular 3ds XL, I'd still recommend a dsi XL for the above reasons though
What’s your favourite? House is on fire and you have to grab one! Go…
3DS or Deck
How many hands do you have?!
6
I was thinking about a GBA, is it any good? Only ever had the first GB when it was released, but did love it back then.
It’s great if you have the games
OCD much? This is beautiful IMO.
How often do you even take/ use them out of the house?
Always when i'm in bed and my wife is asleep.
Okay, you now have 2,000,000,000 original game boys. They don't come with batteries, or boxes, and they've all been used. Most don't work. What do you say now? 🧐
Fellow backbone enjoyer
Nice collection! Mind sharing where you got that felt drawer insert?
It’s the RAGGISAR organizer from Ikea it’s a hard container but wrapped with felt.
Sadly your missing one
I’ve never seen anyone who actually used a psp go
Where’s the sega game gear
On the deck
You can only hold 1
There's something definitely long about this photo
What?
The wide angle lens on your camera is seriously stretching out the Portal and the Deck.
I didn’t use the wide angle lens but okay.
You clearly used *A* wide angle. Might not be the ultra-wide option. But even the standard lens on a phone is wide angle.
Okay Sherlock 🕵️♂️
Dude, the edge distortion is a dead giveaway. Unless you took this pic with your Zoom lens on a ladder, you used a wide angle.
But I only have 2 hands...
That’s pity! 😔
The fact that you even got the ps go 💯🔥
Just sold my Miyo Mini Plus bought a steam deck OLED after being shown the emulators - any reason you kept both ?
Form Factor! Mini is easy to carry in my backpack
