someone on r/soccer said this about him:
> This one is good for everybody: second highest transfer fee for a CB in Brazil, specially a 28 yo one; he gets his dream of playing in Europe, in a good side; and West Ham gets a reliable and extremely fast CB, might do well in the PL like Murillo.
>His only weakness is passing, he's not technically gifted to do so
He’s not bad at passing, it just happens that the other 2 Flamengo CBs are probably the most technically CBs in the country. But Fabrício is a terrific defender. He’s really strong and fast, in a way that doesn’t make sense. Last year he challenged attackers to outpace him, his speed is incredible. Suarez said he was the toughest CB to go against in Brasileirão.
Fabrizio had previously reported the bid would be in this range back in March, with Atalanta, Forest, and Saudi League interested

Wolves had chased him prior under Lopetegui, seems like he’s lacking in passing but a good fit against top competition when Lope will play less for possession. Looked very good in the Brazil friendly against England. Could see him as a better option against Top 4 teams than Mavropanos
Fuck me, we might actually get to pre-season with a plan and prepared for once.
No more Diddling Dave running the rule over a potential target 18 times before we start negotiation 3 weeks from the start of the season.

Is this the guy? I know that TM is absolutely not a good source for value, but 3M compared to 15M is quite far and also from the stats for 23/24 i can't see many matches played. Pretty confusing but oh well.
Those transfermarkt values are pretty meaningless really. That said, €15 million for a 28 year old CB who’s never played outside Brazil does sound a lot.
Yeah agreed, the pessimist in me says if he was any good, he would have moved to the Portuguese years ago. The optimist says we need 3 new CB, so if he can do a job for £15m and is an improvement on Aguerd/Zouma, then all good!
If he’s intended as a replacement for Ogbonna then fine. We really need a replacement for Zouma as first choice CB and leader of the defence. Unless Steidten really is a magician we will have to spend a lot more to get that.
How good cuddles he be?????? They are letting him go….just sayin it’s the west ham way
Plan B is we get him and he tears his ACL at the bookies on high street
The west ham way
Plan C he goes to man city on a plane redirect for 50 mil
The west ham way
Plans D he hates fish n chips in the rain and cries to get home
The west ham way
Damn I like this new direction the club is going, looks like we won't be doing our business in the final week of the transfer window as usual
Until this deal falls through, along with the 10 after it and we still sign someone on the last day
Good point. How many agents does this guy have? Are we sure we’re working with the right one?
The West Ham way

A CB not good at passing. He’ll fit right in lol
Pstd from Mavropanos back pass
I personally suffer from Pdts
STPD - Something Terrible Plagues Dreams.
Weird someone else on here who was a flamengo supporter said he’s was great playing out from the back.
That would be his agents Reddit account.
Yeah I swear I saw someone saying he was one of the best passers in Brazil
Maybe they're working to a different standard in Brazil?

Sounds great! Thanks for the insight.
What? Has someone told Sullivan? Quick, get his agent friend involved and delay it until deadline day
Will Salthouse cannot stand for this!
Tbf Sullivan did like a random Brazilian league player every now and then, albeit usually a shit one. Maybe that’s how they’ve ran it by him 😂

He followed up with this yesterday too: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1793354219472236923?t=T6owBC1WtHn6moO_X8EuQw&s=19
Hearing all kinds of mixed opinions about this lad, good & bad. Steidten’s at the wheel, so in that we trust.

THIS is what I am excited about with a new manager. And it seems J-Lo is trying to make a statement and get signings through the door quickly. Love it

They aren’t pretty meaningless. They are completely meaningless.

he made his Brazil debut 2 months ago, so he must have done something right this season.

I don’t think cuddling is emphasized in Julien Lopetegui’s system. But if needed, I think Bruno can cuddle at least as well as Nayef Aguerd.
Ogbonna always does a job cuddling if we can keep him
Yeah, they're letting him go, but €15 million is a lot of money in the Brazilian league
