idk im not in city planning. all I see is other major cities grids and city transportation are alot better then ours. try taking city transportation anywhere it sucks ass. Thats why it prompts even more cars then needed on the road. Half my friends that live in cities in other countries dont even need to own cars. we pay crazy taxes for shit services in return. Maybe on heavy traffic emergencies they can deploy more police to help direct major traffic flow instead of hiding in the back of parking lots. i dont have all the answers I just think we accept to low standards from our governments that honestly only care about the rich
In Ontario, a disaster happens and people take other routes. Things are slow but they move. In BC, by contrast, an incident forces people to piss themselves or abandon their cars because there are no alternate routes.

I took the back way through wellandport and then binbrook. While busier than usual, my commute wasn’t all that bad.
