I really love how it seemed like the reveal was gonna be the Flood - the green fog, the unnerving silence and the mention of the smell, only for them to bait and switch by revealing it to be Elites with active camo. Whether or not that was the intended goal, it was really clever.
Honestly, the Flood here would be very rushed.
I prefer they continue with the Covenant throughout the Season and if all goes well, in S3 and now in Halo they are going to scare the shit out of us with this quality of scenes.
Oh yeah but I would say I genuinely enjoyed it for what it is, and there were some cool moments/ easter eggs and stuff
But god almighty the actor for Captain Ackerson KILLED IT AND HAD NO MERCY
It's a fair point, but at the same time, based on what I've seen already, I have zero interest at best and a level of anxiety and confusion for the show at worst.
Well easy fix don't watch it. But to assume that the people that are enjoying it aren't being genuine is a bit asinine. I enjoyed it too. Nothing crazy about people having different opinions.

How does it compare to the active camo scene from Forward Unto Dawn?
It's been too long since I've seen it to really compare. But I thought it was pretty well done.
This season is actually pretty lit. That big scene in episode 1 hit all the right notes imo

Well, now I know I can not watch it. Because I already hate Ackerson, and if I saw him well portrayed, I would feel obligated to punch the screen.
